Naoki Urasawa's art style one of those where nothing in particular stands out , but is still very easily distinguishable. Master illustrator and writer, man just casually wrote 3 masterpieces P.s. also, those screen tones he applied and cut out with a knife, theyre very common in modern manga for grey tones and even some effects. Its pretty time saving compared to filling them with markers iguess
Love this guy! He hosts a show called 'Manben' where he talks to fellow manga creators and shows behind-the-scenes footage of their drawing techniques and stuff. Very cool show! :)
urusawas mangas are absolutely amazing: 20th century boys was a pleasure to read and tho i haven't started monster yet, I know it's regarded as one of the greatest stories ever made. I love his art style too:it's so different from the typical 'anime' style, he gives his characters so much personality and isn't afraid to create ugly characters like so many mangakas are. absolute master of his craft
Try to watch the art of Kaoru Mori, she is the most detailed mangaka that exist. One page of Bride Stories is considered a piece of gallery, her art is so beautiful.
I am honestly shocked you've still not reacted to one of Tite Kubo's drawings. I believe he has one of the most unique and crisp art styles and it's incredibly memorable, even if you do or don't like Bleach.
Yeah, he knows fashion stuff and that resulted with great costumes in Bleach. Also, he draws pretty strong-looking eyes. He's one of my favourite mangakas
That tool he used to cut the screen tone is called a "Box Cutter" in America. We call it that cause they're commonly used by shipping employees to open boxes. =P Everyone else calls it an "Exacto-Knife".
Hey modauth, could you put akihito yoshimoti to the queue? I’d love to see you react to the guy other than that great videos! Your content is very entertaining and useful!
What about react to some Reiji Miyajima videos? The guy from the "Life in a day of a Mangaka"... He has a YT channel with lots of vids of him doing some artworks to promote his manga...
Hahahha I was wondering if it inspires or depresses me too! xD If it depresses, I think, Did that artist work so hard and get that good TO DEPRESS PEOPLE? No, of course not. They worked hard to bring joy to others, so help them out.
Bruh, he didn't even need to rough sketch the drawing first. He just knew exactly where to put the lines.
Yep, it’s pretty insane 😮
I guess that’s what happens when you’ve been drawing for 60 years
Him: 12 minutes finished artwork
Me: 3 days and it's still have many problems
Honestly, the speed was mind-blowing to me as well 🤯
he isnt actually using a G-Pen, Its a Nipponji pen. btw: He is also the commentator of the Junji Ito documentary
Ah i See 😁 thanks for pointing that out. Now you’ve said it, he looks familiar 😮

Actually more than 3 masterpieces
I thought most mangakas did the screen tones digitally now
Pluto , twentieth century boys , Monster , Pineapple army , Billy Bat , Master keaton
don't forget that man for 20 years, wrote two masterpieces at the same time and damn those story were not affected
