Just when I got all disillusioned with the whole chalk painting thing someone comes out with a good, easy to understand video with super fancy techniques that have great results! I'm enthusiastic again! Thanks!! P.s I love when you do the click thing! .

I was so delighted to read your comment 🙏💙 thank you so much for your kind feedback and glad you like this tutorial... it definitely took some to make tutorials that best suits the viewers so they can maximize their imagination without making it confusing or to long. Thanks so much for watching 😉🎨
You have one of the best voices to listen to....soothing, calming, confident & knowledgeable! And I love this technique. Thank you for all your videos.
Hello from Texas! I admire your style of artistry in painting. I have a tip from 40 years of decorative painting. Save your brown paper bags. Use the side with no printing to lightly sand the painted surface of a project done with any acrylic water-based medium. This is an excellent fine sandpaper that will remove little bits you don't want and give a soft hand for your sealer. It is also hard to over sand and ruin your work. The lovely thing about today's chalk paint is its versatility and the amount of pigment in the product. The binders are amazing. We don't have to make anything anymore. Just order online and the man in the brown uniform shows up in a few days! 🥰 Happy Painting and Thank you for sharing!
Gloria Scroggins ... thank you so much Gloria 🙏🎨 I really appreciate your tips and sharing the advise 👍🏻 from your experience and expertise!! I will definitely give that a go! I absolutely love trying new ideas and expanding the “ in the box” routines and see what else we can do with decorative finishes and ideas 💡 even to make things easier 👏👏 Thanks again and thank you for watching 🎨💙💙
Ciao Cristina! I tuoi lavori sono tutti davvero stupendi, di gusto e raffinati! Guardo i tuoi tutorial con molta attenzione e sono di grande ispirazione. Grazie per i consigli e i suggerimenti. 😊❤
Thank you so much for putting up this video, it was exactly what I had envisaged for a piece I had bought. I’m on the final stage now prior to new handles and waiting to buff up the piece. My finished look is just as beautiful as yours. My chalk painting has been pretty basic to date, but as with all your beautifully explained pieces, I was able to easily follow your leads.
Hi Patricia!!! You can do these techniques it is easy!!! Give it a try!! I have a new tutorial out tomorrow, I hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think!! 🎨🙏❤️
I love the color you achieved using the brown and light grey..."Taupe" is one of my favorite colors. I agree that the added depth you gave it at the end really gave this piece a perfect finish. Great work!

This was absolutely stunning! I love how you make it seem easy!! ❤❤❤ in case I don't have glaze, do you think it is possible to get similar results with only chalk paint? Thank you xx
OMG!!! This is my absolute favorite!!!!🤗🤗 I've been waiting for this tutorial ever since I saw the beautiful pics on Instagram the other day (that was me in the comment section asking if you were going to grace us with a tutorial on this beauty😉). I cannot wait to try this brilliant technique and I'm so happy you chose these particular colors because together, they're exactly the look I've been imagining but hadn't yet found the perfect colors to bring it to life, so thank you!! As always, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for kindly sharing your beautiful talent and amazing techniques with us!!❤️🙏🏼 You really knocked this one out of the park! 🤗👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
Luv2 Cre8 Hi!! I am so happy that you liked it!!! I wanted to do a neutral tone piece (Honfleur with Chicago Grey) for awhile now to show their true beauty! Honfleur is one of my favorite go to color! When you finish your project send me photos, I would love to see the result! Thank you for subscribing! 🙏🎨
@The Reclaimed Heirloom Honfleur is one of my favorites too and of course I only have the tiniest bit left!😭 Now my only problem is figuring out where to purchase my ASCP (I’m in the U.S.) because the last time I made a trip to my local retailer she hardly had any AS left, and what she did have was on clearance. She told me they had to do a big changeover to Jolie Paint and assured me this paint was made by the same manufacturer that made Annie’s, would have the same colors but different names, and the reason was because Annie was changing manufacturers and said something about the new manufacturer not being in the U.S.(???) It was a bit confusing to me. I tried a sample of the Jolie Paint and it’s a very nice paint, but I’d still love to be able to purchase Annie Sloan. I think I may have found someone through Pinterest to purchase from, so fingers crossed!! I will definitely send you pics once my project is completed! Wish me luck!🥰
Hi!!! I am based in Canada and I had a similar situation where there was no local stockist near me at the time. What I did I was able to find a stockist in another province (State) that shipped AS paint out to me. What you can do is if you go to the AS web site (www.anniesloan.com) and just go to find your local stockist and see if there is one near you check for a few. Then, just check the stockist's own web site to see if they do shipping. I hope this helps you find some Honfleur!!🙏🎨
@The Reclaimed Heirloom Hi again!!😊 Thank you so much for telling me this! I didn’t even think to check for other nearby stockists, or even in other states, because after listening to my local stockist explain it, I was under the impression that Annie Sloan’s paint would no longer be sold anywhere in the U.S. I’m hoping I misunderstood. 😳 I’m going to go check Annie’s website now! Thanks again!!♥️
Hello Cristina! I have been obsessively watching your videos as I'm trying to decide on colors and techniques for a dining table. Do you think the hornfleur would pair well with old ochre with this technique? I love the look you achieved but worried that the chicago gray will be too gray and looking for an overall warm look for a cream colored room. Let me know your thoughts!! Thank you, your work is beautiful!
Love your art work .Have you ever done kitchen cabinets❓I want to light up my kitchen with earthly colors but I’m afraid. I have vintage kitchen cabinets in my farmhouse house looking for ideas❗️

Beautiful and incredible work Christina! Two questions, did you use shellac before you started painting? And the second thing to finish off the piece instead of clear wax, could you use water-based topcoat High-Performance from the General Finishes line??
Hi Ana for this piece I did not use a Shellac, but if you have a piece that has the tanning or bleed through potential I would use the Shellac. For sure you can use topcoat High-Performance from General Finishes, they have a great product line! I have used many of their products! The top coat is a great medium to use rather than wax if you know the piece will be in a high traffic use area! 🙏🎨❤️

Can we get the effects of glaze if we use matt varnish instead of glaza
Hi check your local paint store to see if they have wall glaze, you can't get the same finish with a matt varnish. ❤️🎨🙏
Красиво !!!!

HI...CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT IS GLAZE ? IF I SEARCHING IN ESPANISH HOW IS IT? SORRY MY ENGLISH
Hola Beatriz, Glaze es un aditivo de pintura que extiende el tiempo de trabajo de la pintura y le da más textura a la superficie. Puede obtener esmalte en tiendas de pintura o en tiendas de mejoras para el hogar también. 🙏🎨💕
What an be used instead of glaze is wax ok
Hi Abe you can try using white wax but it may not give you the same look but it will be close if you are ok with that! 🙏🎨❤️
hint....................................... Wad the ray in a long hotdog shape. Lightly roll over the surface making a new technique and effect.
