- In this video I am travelling from Costa Rica to Nicaragua. I had done a lot of googling on how to get from La Fortuna to Ometepe by bus and honestly there really wasn't much information online so I thought I'd make a video and share it with you. Majority of the people I met on the bus were travelling from La Fortuna in Costa Rica to San Juan Del Sur in Nicaragua but my final destination was Ometepe. Can this journey be done in one day? Stay tuned to find out!
This is the not-so-fun side of travelling. Long busses, boarder crossing queues, having to change plans last minute etc... But this is the reality of travelling solo in Central America and a lot of other places in the world. I often make new friends when travelling to new locations in this way, and although the journeys are long, difficult and sometimes very confusing, I wouldn't change anything about it. I find that you can learn a lot, and you definitely learn to appreciate the small moments more!
