Travelling from El Salvador to Utila | Easiest route to Utila | Solo backpacking Central America

In this vlog I am travelling from Santa Ana in El Salvador to Utila in Honduras by bus. It was a long journey. Come along with me and see the route I took to get to Utila and everything I needed to cross the boarder into Honduras from El Salvador. This is one of the cheapest ways to travel to Utila and it's really not too bad! In the video I forgot to mention that the bus i took from San Salvador to San Pedro Sula cost $32.
Utila is a small island off the coast of Honduras and it is famous for scuba diving. It has an incredible barrier reef and is one of the cheapest places in the world to dive! I will be spending the next couple of months in Utila working as a divemaster, learning to freedive and exploring the island which will all be in the coming vlogs!

For anyone wanting to do this journey and trying to work out the cost, I forgot to mention the cost of the long bus I took from San Salvador to San Pedro Sula. It was $32 for that long bus. The cost of everything else is in the video 🫶🏼

Ahh yes it was a lot all happening at 4:30/5 in the morning and I got a little overwhelmed but it all turned out ok in the end!
It was, I just can’t leave food on a plate 😅
The bus was $32, I realise now I didn’t say in the video!
