Have you been to Nicaragua or Costa Rica? Let me know what you thought about it and I'd love to hear about your border crossing experience if you did one as well! 🥰

I'm super careful when traveling, but I never would have thought to be vigilant of my water bottle on a bus. Even the smallest of things can get jacked. My friend knows she shouldn't wear jewelry when traveling, but some guy asked her for her black plastic ear spacers for helping lift her bag when she was in Columbia. It's insane what people will take or ask for so they can resell. Stay safe and keep traveling!!

Yeah you just never know what can happen! It’s still always worth it because things can be replaced and the experience can be life changing ☺️

What do older and other people do who can't stand for so long or walk so far for a border run?

In that case, I'd suggest a private drive/taxi to get to and from the border. You can also hire a local to expedite the process (as you may have seen in this video, a family did that so they could skip the line)! Hope that helps!

@@spellboundtravels Then there's also the possibility that the immigration authorities won't do anything when a person leaves the airport after overstaying. How would a paid emissary be able to get the stamps for you or me at a border run?

Yup! No issue with cameras there. However, I don’t know what their policy is on drones
