I noticed none of them really mention Kirby…
The comment that says “if you didn’t like scream 5 I don’t think you’ll like this one” has me worried because I didn’t like that one at all…
So far, I’m loving the reviews that are coming out. One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of reviews are praising certain actors and their performances (Jenna, Mason, Jasmin, etc) but one character I’ve noticed that hasn’t been mentioned once is KIRBY

I think it’ll be good overall but I’m getting tired of dumb motives. I get it, some people in real life do this shit for stupid reasons too but it’s getting old for these movies. Simp, fame, horror fans, affairs, abandonment etc, only solid motive we’ve had is probably mrs Loomis, good old classic revenge. 1-3 had decent motives and were executed well but 4-5 dropped the ball and just took some already iffy motives and turned it up with stupidity. I was unfortunately swayed by the “Stu is alive” theory and now I’m kinda upset because now I’m like 90 percent sure he’s not here. Which is bummer but it makes sense, he’s dead. I hope it’s not two random newbies who like stab. I want them to be professional, strong motive and badass. But people are already saying this motive isn’t good, I guess we’ll see. Im still excited either way

There are people that kill for absolutely NO reason as well.
That'd why scream scared me so much when I first saw it 1996 I was 6 years old and it was a real guy so thst shit always terrified me and the reality that in a lifetime they say you meet or walk past 10 active seriel killers so I was highly afraid of shit like that

I'm scared by the reviews that say the ending is underwhelming.

I think because the ending was apparently rushed and ended abruptly, audiences who saw the advanced screening was expecting more.
This is the first video I’ve seen where there’s been a negative review of the killer’s motives, and I’m thinking surely it can’t be as bad as what 5 was 😳
I think at 1st watch the killer reveal is always disappointing and then it grows on me .. that's been my experience. I honestly can say for this one I am more interested in the actual movie.
I've heard there's three different versions
The leaks of the killers seem real lol. People are saying the motives of the killers are weak so I'm pretty sure those leaks are real and I already know who the killers are (and they're boring, the reveal is boring too).

Yeah, 1st watch of scream 4 when it came out, i was massively disappointed with 1 of the killers qnd the blur on the movie and the motives, but it growns on me with every watch, so not keen on the blur tho lol. Sometimes its the hype is what causes the slight let down feeling but once ur over that then u learn to appreciate and enjoy the movie. If u get what i mean.
Yeah I was super dissapointed with Richie and Amber because their motives were dumb(and also I just really liked Richie before the reveal so was dissapointed he was gonna die). Since then I've come to appreciate them, same with roman to an extent
its a horror/scream movie, its def gonna get mixed impressions, im so hyped and ready to see the twists to the scream formula
I just hope the killers reveal leaks that were around all Twitter are fake because those ghostfaces were so boring. I want to be shocked while seeing who the killers could be.

I have never had an issue with any of the motives. None of the motives are "good". There's no good reason to go on a killing spree. But people kill for stupid reasons all the time. So I never thought people were killing for "lame" reasons. Honestly, I've never really cared about who the killers end up being or the motives. I care about fun kills/set pieces and the performances. I really enjoyed the performances of the actors after they were revealed as killers.
So many ppl are/was hoping the reveal is stu (im not 1 of these ppl lol) so this will b a big reason this reveal and motive straight away will let alot of ppl down. Even if its same old same old, aslong as the rest of the movie is great,the 5mins reveal amd motive wont matter so much esp but 2nd on watch wont matter at all or at least not as much. Impo of course
As long as I don’t guess who the killers are I’ll be fine. That’s the only thing that ruined the last film for me

Love hearing that Scream 6 is getting nothing but good review reactions which gets me very excited for the movie. It awesome to hear Jenna and Mason are the highlight according to the reviews based on their performances. can't wait for next friday

Haven't seen VI but feel the script writing regarding character development and emotional connection were the weakest parts of V. Particularly between Tara and Samantha and Samantha with others in general. Potentially too masculine, derivative and cliché. I can see how this was pointed out by someone given they kept the same writers for this installment. Kevin Williamson should be writing the dialogue. Period.
Kevin Williamson gets too much credit imo. He wrote a great first script but he was absent for a lot of Scream 2 (everyone was writing that movie, especially the ending) and while he didn't write 3, many of his ideas were used. He wrote most of 4 (meh) and also advocated the Billy hallucinations in 5. I kind of think he's the problem. The George Lucas of the Scream franchise.
@@someguy520 wow very interesting to know that! I is the epitome of the series IMO. II was a fantastic sequel with exactly the call backs needed as well as a steep jump in brutality and suspense. In III I wasn’t sold on the Roman motivation and confused twist ending. On balance the comedic tone seemed to detract from the tension in III. I feel like a brutal Stu Macher final showdown would have tied the trilogy together perfectly. While I agree IV is likely the weakest, I didn’t have such a problem connecting with the dialogue in that film. In V, I personally don’t mind the hallucination sequences for the writing and character development, rather I take umbrage with the shoddy cgi - how does she have a memory of him in her head that lines up with the audiences visual depiction? I feel that is the janky part. You may be totally correct about Kevin Williamson’s grip on decision making but I don’t see that playing out in the final product given he seems to be overlooked on several crucial elements. All I can remember is how well Sidney was written during her introduction to us across the first film and we were sorely missing that level of connection in V with Sam and to a lesser extent Tara - and maybe again in VI according to some. I’m really just a pleb with a penchant for this series and don’t have all the info for making informed comments but I do like a bit of discourse - all speculation and opinion 🕺🏽💪🏽
Scream 5 had the strongest motivation, in my opinion, toxic fandom. That was brilliant.
There is one scene where one character goes toe to toe 1v1 on ghostface its the best scene in the movie and character beats s@ite out of ghostface
Every killer reveal after Scream 1 has been kinda soft...... I mean people should get it by now these films run on a formula with rules soo what do you expect. Everyone expects a big twist they never saw coming but that's hard to do given the parameters these films have to operate with in.

Heard its the cop and his son they ticked off cause they're related to Stu related to that guy that died in the last movie who was also related to Stu heard it was weak motive and killers bit in not ready to condemn them yet til I Ser the movie lol. That's if its really those two but I guess they said they'll hint at Stu is still alive and will be in next one along with Sidney lol. Haven't heard too many twists I guess I heard that Kirby dies saving gale. I hope that's not true id rather have gale die before Kirby lol

Look no further than Wakands Forever, he died and they had to scramble to rewrite it and it was sht. You could obviously see that it was written for him and where the plot suffered from his absence. Want even more proof? Look at the early reviews for Scream 6. All praise for the gore and action scenes then yawns for the motive and reveal. Scream is Sidney, no Neve no Scream.

Tell me you don't know shit about Scream without telling me. Sidney's story absolutely ended in Scream 3. After that it was no longer ABOUT her. She wasn't even necessary for Scream 4 and 5. If she hadn't showed up, the story wouldn't have changed. Jill would still have a killing spree wanting to be the sole survivor and Richie and Amber would still have a killing spree wanting to reboot the Stab movies. So, yes, Sidney's story ended in Scream 3.
I think the one's obsessed with making it about Mason are anti-feminists who are trying to take away the aspect that the Scream franchise is about strong female survivors and characters - Sidney, Gale, etc.

Everyone thinks that Samara Weaving is the opening kill but she is in fact the main killer. She is the baby sister of Drew Barry more who went into the Foster system after the murder of her older sister and her mum having a complete psychotic breakdown and father leaving her and remarriage. Sidney is in the last scene of the movie when Samara kills Gale and phones Sidney from her phone. Sidney runs upstairs to check on her children who are missing from their beds and Kincaid is seen lying on the kitchen floor with his throat slashed bleeding out and the back door swinging. This is when we realise there is a second killer before Sam takes out Samara. Everyone else in the movie dies including Kirby and Tara its a complete bloodbath. The finale doesn't actually take place in the shrine/abandoned movie theatre but in an old factory newspaper facility on the other side of the same building which has been hidden for years.
