for the youngsters this being released during spring break and tax season will help lol and scream 4 didn’t do crazy because horror WAS NOT IN THEN.
Also it was released April and should have been released in October or September

Personally, I see an opening weekend of about $40M, domestic total of about $95M, and a worldwide total of $160M, but I could definitely see it getting even above that.
I think this will be an accurate prediction.
It's already passed 40mil since they opened tickets a while ago
There’s a lot of hype for scream 6 here in Australia! A lot more than there was for Scream 5 which is exciting. I’m seeing TV spots on free to air tv, I’m seeing murals in Melbourne and lots of hype.
This movie has the potential to do very well.
With it having a different location and the trailers and the positive reviews should bring them home the solid numbers .. Good points!!!
Scream 6’s marketing has be exceptional. I think it excited a lot of people and I think it will make a lot of money than expected but not too much
The thing with Jenna and her popularity tho is she’s blowing up RIGHT now off the success of Wednesday, Dwayne Johnson hasn’t exactly been irrelevant but the man hasn’t had a box office hit movie in a long time that wasn’t already an established franchise.
I think alot of younger teens who watch Wednesday obviously have a knack for dark humour and scares and Scream would be the perfect movie to satisfy that particular craving.
I’m going 3 times with a total of 14 tickets lol I just invited different family and friends for each time and all of them wouldn’t have gone unless I asked them lol the goal is 40 million + opening weeklong 😭😭
Movie theatres were closed in the majority of Canada when the first came out!
Also evil dead rise is a competition cause it’s also in April and horror
I'd say opening weekend will get around 65 million. Domestic Total 100 million. Worldwide 185 million or even more.

I think it’ll be a huge success. Scream 5 was a bit of an unknown quantity. A reboot of a film franchise that had laid dormant for 11 years (arguably 22 years since it last had mainstream success).
Scream 6 is coming hot on the tails of the success of Scream 5. There are less Covid restrictions now which had an effect on 5’s box office. I couldn’t see it in cinemas in my country so had to wait until the streaming release which was painful!
Obviously money is tighter for people now, and a lot of people now wait for streaming after getting used to that with Covid and with the ever-shortening theatrical windows.
But what Scream 6 has going for it that not a lot of movies do is the “spoiler factor”, I think people are more likely to want to see Scream 6 in cinemas as soon as possible so not to be spoiled.
Not to mention the positive reviews and word-of-mouth. And there seems to be a lot more “buzz” in the lead-up to 6 than 5 had. And yes while there is a lot more competition than 5, those films are targeting different demographics.
So I’m expecting in the region of $40m domestic opening weekend. Long-term I don’t know, it’ll probably be heavily front-loaded, but I do definitely think there is a chance that it becomes the highest-grossing Scream film domestically. International audiences seem a bit more tepid. I had no idea that Scream 4 made more internationally than 5, but then Covid might have played a large factor in that too.
Either way, I think it’s a pretty sure bet we’ll be getting a Scream 7!!
I plan on going opening night or the following day after just because i want to have the opportunity to experience this movie with a bigger audience just because personally me i do think that scream 6 will do much better than 5 since this time around the marketing is much more better than 5’s marketing was thats if the movie even was marketed like that because personally me I didn’t know much about 5 at first and tbh I didn’t go too see it right away but eventually i did watch it and personally me I don’t think it was that bad it personally wasn’t my favorite out of the franchise but i did enjoy it enough too where i went i could see myself watching this again down the road but yeah i feel like scream 6 will perform much more better at the box office this time than it did last time but fuck I’m already counting down the days till scream 6 release’s I’m really excited too watch this movie i already have my theories for who’s the killer survivors etc but man I’ve got a good feeling bout this one.
Is it likely that a slasher sequel does better at the box office?
I guess nightmare 4 proves you can.

I hope your right and the box office can be 160M, when Scream 5 came out, I was worried it made less than 100M, just like Scream 4, but for VI, I think it can get at least 140M just like 5 but it can definitly be more. I'm sorry I'm french so my english is propbably not understandable...
I 100% agree with finances!! I would add creeed in there too. With people seeing that last week they might be reluctant to go to the movies two weeks in a row.

I’m very afraid of the movies coming out around Scream. All pre existing fanbases much larger than the Scream fandom.
Walloped creed and Shazam is gonna severely under perform. Wick 4 is 2 weeks away and scream us gonna be huge by then
The new dinosaur movie called 65 comes out the same day as Scream 6. I wanna see both but scream comes first for me.
It will make the same or less than S5. Even the S6 trailer has 10 million less views than the S5 trailer.
Going to be interesting to see the box office result. I think it will open big and die down quickly after that (unless it is really good). I still think S5 is overrated and with the Neve situation...it will be interesting to see if ppl will come back. Either way, whether S6 is hot garbage or not, i will probably end up watching it at least twice in the cinema 😜
Box office pro started at 24-32 now up to 35-42. It should be noted they missed creeds opening weekend by 10 million...so 45-50 million isn't out of the question imo
And now it's heading for 45 million or more!
I could care less what it makes. Don’t get me wrong. I know it has to make a certain amount to be considered worthy to the general public and money for the studios as everyone is so obsessed with money. But I’m far from that mind set. Because the 1996 was word of mouth that helped it gain popularity. But you really want a quality movie. Not a cash grab. You want popularity to grow. But to me it doesn’t matter what a movie makes in those terms. As long as they did what was visioned and bring to life. I’m old school Hollywood. So what I’m saying is if it’s not quality etc then it doesn’t matter how much it makes in that sense. The first one did so good cause of the quality and story. That’s what I like to see attract ppl and this Scream 6 seems to be attracting all corners of the world.
Box office e is i.imortant cause I don't want to wait 10 years between. Movies again...I love scream 4 but it's box office performance almost killed the series

Man after what they did neve campbell and killed off Dewey. I have no interest in anymore scream movies. Until they give neve campbell her pay she earned. Their no excuse of why they did what they did. It's mess up, how new producers took over what Wes craven created. I had to leave companies like that. Pretty much want to under paid me for experience I had. No thank you, I hoping this be all solved. If she not in 7. I completely done with scream.
