As an Old School Alpha, you are speaking the truth. You got to do the research of the Org you are interested in. You have to establish relationships with the members of the org u like to pursue. Gotta put in the work not only on a undergrad Chapter level but on alumni chapter level. I agree with the t-shirt wearers. We have enough of those already. As DOP on a alumni level, u got to be selective of who u want in your chapter of your org that is going to do the work and answer the call when needed. Much respect to the Que for his honest perspective and insight about joining D9 Orgs. Continue ur success with these videos. Knowledge is power.
Make sure as a part of your research that everyone googles the ritual book of these organizations. Don’t go forwards without doing this. You will see the necessities of bowing to an altar in a dark room and saying pledges and making a covenant with the enemy. Yep, these orbs are evil. Don’t be fooled by the strolling or parties of community service in the name of their organization.
You are right about that those questions. I volunteered for community service with an org and they sure grilled me. 😂 I exchanged numbers with the officers and sent them the contact information to a local program that directly aligns with one of their national initiatives. Three months later, I had my letters 💙💛
A Greek organization involves a lot of people. Despite the image they try to present, they do not all like each other. If you are joining expecting that becoming a member means you now have a lot of new family members, be aware that not all of new family members like each other, and not all of them are going to like you. It's like any other social setting: develop friendships with those who are worth your time, and avoid those who are just trifling and petty. If they can't be respectful towards you and they can't honor the vows they took at their own intake ceremony about brotherhood/sisterhood just because you didn't let them beat on you, then THEY are the ones with a problem because THEY are choosing to dishonor their own vows. There are plenty of other people in that organization with whom you can fellowship; the trifling ones are a waste of your time.
As a Sigma who has interviewed prospective members, Que speaks the truth. If you have nothing significant to offer, you're wasting their time and yours. For my chapter, you got to put in WORK.

This is an OWT bruh. #certified Only thing I'll add is: be about something before the organization. If you want to be a worthwhile member of the the D9, you should be a part of some campus organization, business group, ministry or something. People think they can just turn on the ability to be about fellowship or community service but you can't. You'll join then be akward and not get out if it what you can. While you wait to join, participate in something on campus
Being a clinically diagnosed Sigma male/Lonewolf, I have never seen the need for any of this and have lived a very fruitful life based around independence, individual thought to say the least.
Thanks for this! I have no lineage in any Greek organization but I know a lot of girls and guys on all the lines at my school since we were freshman. I wasn’t sure how to inquire about joining one and wasn’t sure if coming right out at a member saying I want to join was the appropriate approach; I didn’t want to break any rules lol. To add, with COVID everything has changed so much; I honestly don’t even know how they’re going about creating new lines this year. Nevertheless, it’s not like I have any time to spare since I am in fact a senior; I really don’t want to miss out on this. After watching your video though, I think I might know how to best start this process now!
I truly appreciate you taking time to educate interest in bglo. its so important to recieve the right information to become a interest. Thanks so much!
I appreciate this video. I was well informed and educated on the thought process of wanting to join. Although I am seeking Grad chapter, I just been curious about it and had questions
Very informative video. The best information on joining a Greek organization. Your speaking the truth. That life isn’t for everyone. But, you gave raw. I thank you. Take care my brother
Part II: I had asked an advisor, who was a da Bruhs, I was thinking about going to the smoker but asked him what he thought, he said, "You join the organization you have to change the least to be accepted." That was all I needed to hear. Que Psi Phi till the day I die!!!" And yes, I passed this on to my son as well.
And another thing. DO NOT let people haze you. If somebody needs to haze you before they can be your friend, then you do not need them as your friend. Once you have joined, there's nothing they can do to erase the fact that you are, in fact, a member of their group whether they like it or not. People will tell you all kinds of things about what you supposedly have to do in order to join. Much if it will be untrue. They just are hoping to get to do to you what somebody else did to them. By the time you seriously pursue membership, the dean of student affairs at your college will have already spelled out what is and isn't permitted iin the pledge process according to college campus regulations. If that underground hazing stuff some people want to do was truly a legitimate requirement for membership, they wouldn't do it in secret. They'd do it out in the open, in front of the dean. You can easily cross over and become a member and refuse to take part in hazing. And if somebody wants to act a fool and not call you brother/sister because they didn't get to haze you, then look past them, and say, "Next." There are thousands and thousands of people in that organization; you don't need that particular person's friendship. There will be plenty of other people in the organization with whom you can associate, both during undergrad and when you transition to grad chapter membership, should you choose to remain active.

My high school social life is the worst becuase nobody does anything on the weekends not even the holidays. I want to join a frat so that way I have stuff on the weekend
So I’m trying to join one this upcoming fall and when they ask me why I tell them that i am majoring finance so I can bring that to the fraternity and I can also help with anything business wise around here.
5:37 I actually want to join for the community service so I have can experience in dealing with people and I can put it on my law school application 🧿. So I’m the outlier that’s not BS’ing and really needs to do community service and get a leadership position for experience 😅😂!
If you do, don’t join to run a yard, join to join a graduate chapter when your done, because if you don’t, you do all that extra work for just one semester or not even one at all just to wear letters. Sounds like a waste of time. Get active in a graduate chapter
@@lastmanstanding0050 i believe it depends on what district you are in. I’m more that certain that grad chapters in the 6th and 7th are bringing bringing grad members in right. As an undergrad, if I had a long night, I could sleep in, maybe miss a class or two. I could literally sleep most of the day!! But as a grad chapter who actually going through the process, after a long night, they are going to work. Lol some spend the same amount of time together as the undergrad, but they have to maintain a career. Again, I think it depends on location. RQQ
@@MrRobinson1911 If you mean "every process is not the same" and intend to imply that challenges differ depending on your station, then I hear you. Case in point, your comment about sleeping in. I have met a few Bruhs who have had objectively thorough processes who were able to sleep in when on line. Others, like me, had objectively thorough processes and never got to sleep in. From am breakfast runs to trying to navigate the Bruhs on the yard, I did not get more than four contiguous hours of sleep until I crossed. Still, my process was not necessarily "better" or "more right" than those who were able to sleep in once in a while.
Good advice! I never had to do the agressive calling. I had my shit together in terms of a major. I understood what being in a brotherhood was about. The code of confidentiality. I knew the history. It seems to me that people are like chemicals. Some repell and some attract. No one can 100 percent tell another that their interest is suspect. You have to have the it factor/motivation that allows you to finish. I was invited to all of the interest group meetings I was cool with all of the geek organizations. If you are in college and have your focus and priorities in order and casually go to interest meetings. Then decide which group of brus you can gell with.
Aye I’m from D.C where all this originated at and my mom was a Que sweetheart and I have some uncles in the organization so I was looking into it. My only issue is I have never stepped before 😂. I know you’ve probably heard this question but do they teach you or do they just throw you in the water?
@@recordswithraniyah When did I say they did... I was talking to the guy about becoming a Que hence why I mentioned my family apart of that specific organization.... if u here me say Que and u know they originated in D.C then why would I be talking about any other frat?
Hey, I graduated with Mechanical Engineering. I would suggest that you focus on your academics during your first year, Atlease your first semester. Most BLGO require a GPA of 2.8 or higher. The last thing you want to do is to lose focus establishing your grades and risk not getting accepted because of getting a lower GPA your first semester/year. Once you get rejected, you will have to work 3x or 4x harder to redeem yourself. In general, once you make a bad impression, it will follow you on campus. Note: I was not a BLGO member, but I was in NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) and I could say if you want to be involve in NSBE, it took time and work.
Hey.. Your video is really nice and was hoping I could get a genuine opinion on this - I am an international graduate student who is completely new to Greek Life. I attended the callouts today and all the Frat boys were pitching their clubs to me, but the Alpha one stood out the most for me. Now my program is for 10 months and although GPA wouldn't be a problem, since my program is so short + I think I was the only graduate student who went to the callouts, is it worth joining Greek Life? Thanks!
Research their ritual book and learn what you have to bow down to on initiation night. There is nothing holy and acceptable unto The Lord Jesus concerning these groups. Look up why I left Greek life. The truth is told in those videos. There organizations are withccraft based.
Is it possible to be a freshman and fledge? I know one female that’s pledges as a freshman at Albany, but I’m not sure if she had some strings pulled or not?
Hey man i’m a upcoming highschool junior and i’ve always wanted to join a Greek Organization since i was a freshman i’ve been doing research on the specific one i would like to join but i’m also an athlete. Do you think it’s best to try an join a Organization while also trying to attend college for sports ?
I’ve seen a bunch of people do that ! It’s not easy, but it’s capable depending on your work ethic ! You got it though, best of luck to your endeavors and good luck to you !!
Please remember: you attend college for an education, but sports is your vehicle. If you are on a sports scholarship, your second priority is probably that sport. Can you do all three? Yes, you can, but don't forget your ultimate goal. You're going to ride that degree for the rest of your life. Your life in sports may end at graduation. Membership in the organization that allows you in, like your degree, will be life long. Good luck.
I appreciate the advice. I’m a freshman coming in and the fraternity I want has been permanently banned. Should I transfer to a school that has it or join when I go to grad school
Hey, what if you aren’t selected initially should you try again? I’m thinking of going Greek , only heard that if I don’t get selected I could never join D9 again. Could you please clarify.
I’ve been watching over people talk on this subject and from what I’ve heard YES as long as you don’t try and go for another organization say for example if you didn’t make delta and you try to be an AKA that wouldn’t work.
I think you should always try again! If you go out for a certain sorority and don't get chosen, but you still want to be a member. Keep in mind if you go out for a sorority they will ask on the application/in person if you have ever applied for membership in that or another organization so keep that in mind... So for instance if you go out of SGrho and don't make it, if you decide to then go on to pursue Delta, they're not going to take kindly to that. But if you just go out and don't get selected that doesn't mean you can't try again. Now if you become a member of the D9 that's final. you can't join another D9 org. I hope I explained it well.
In my case, I started showing up to different KAΨ events on and off campus undergrad or grad it didn’t matter. I'm former military. A 28 year old Marine. Would age and life experience hinder me from joining a frat?
No
Nice job young man.
Great info and tips on doing research on the org and putting in the work to join. We all have enough t shirt wearers 💕💚
Research the ritual book and what you had to do the night of initiation very dark room and bowing before an altar chanting.
Great Video whats your advice for joining Grad Chapters. I'm a older brother I graduated college in the Mid 90's but I worked full time and went to school part time as much as I could, there was no time for Greek life, More than 25 years later after a law enforcement career Im still interested. what advice could you lend.
Appreciate the support !! Check out my video I made about joining grad chapters if you scroll down a little bit it is still there 💪🏾
Bro I'm a Sigma, your video was absolutely 💯. Much support Devine 9 brother.🤘🏾
Appreciate you broski!!!
Do you have any advice for junior transfers?
Appreciate the honesty. Father damn near lied.
I just wanna join simply because i met gpa requirements, college requirements, I'm a veteran, and I'm too old to be pledging, jumping and hopping!!! SO THAT, IN AND OF ITSELF, SHOULD GET ME IN AUTOMATICALLY!!! And if it doesn't, then oh well!!!
Appreciate the Food my mans
I need a story time of when you were on line and what happened to you when they remembered you wore your dads hat and posted that picture..... 😭
I might hey expelled if I tell that story 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
RQQ!!!🤐🤫
Man I was in a bit fraternity of men. The United States Air Force. I could bring actual organizational skills, good under pressure, maturity, leadership. Shit I've seen real combat lol. I'd give my life for my brothers. Hopefully get into a grad chapter sometime.
Great video I want to be apart of the Omega psi phi Fraternity but still don't know where to start I'm about to graduate high school this year and wanted to know different things specifically really don't know how to just start but your video gave me a idea of what I can do being a freshman in college trying to join this great Fraternity
Best of luck to your endeavors bro, hope to see you on the other side one day 💪🏾
I remember watching this before I became an omega man. Appreciate the help RQQ TO THE GOOD BRUHZ

The most realist video I've seen on the subject. Excellent 😀👊🏾🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you for the support ‼️🙏🏾✊🏾
How old is too old to pledge? I’m 26 and I’ll be 27 next year
Can i join without a degree I do have military experience???
How did your GPA do the term you pledged? Did it go up, down, or stay same?
TWN321 mine went down just a little bit I had a 3.5 and it went down to 3.3 something
TWN321 but my LB got a 4.0
Goats University thx... my impression from the classes I have had with ppl on line is that gpa usually goes down... those dudes vanished for weeks!
Get a high GPA freshman year so that when you pledge, you don't have to worry about your grades dropping cuz they will....

My high school social life is the worst becuase nobody does anything on the weekends not even the holidays. I want to join a frat so that way I have stuff on the weekend
Don’t do it if it’s a D9 Frat bro, not the motive of the fraternities.
So I’m trying to join one this upcoming fall and when they ask me why I tell them that i am majoring finance so I can bring that to the fraternity and I can also help with anything business wise around here.
Good job, Que!!!!
5:37 I actually want to join for the community service so I have can experience in dealing with people and I can put it on my law school application 🧿. So I’m the outlier that’s not BS’ing and really needs to do community service and get a leadership position for experience 😅😂!
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Best of luck to your endeavors!
@@Goatsuniversity Thanks that means a lot! You too!
You sound insane! You don’t need to be apart of an organization just to do community service
Well stated Divine 9 Brother. Speaking the truth.
Is there any particular guidance you would offer for those interests choosing grad chapters?
ua-cam.com/video/13WSMO_gU88/v-deo.html got you covered like State Farm !
What are your thoughts on people joining senior year?
If you do, don’t join to run a yard, join to join a graduate chapter when your done, because if you don’t, you do all that extra work for just one semester or not even one at all just to wear letters. Sounds like a waste of time. Get active in a graduate chapter
How do we find the information about the chapters?
Thank you for sharing this information. You were on point.
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
😂 😂 I know some grad chapters that go harder then undergrad no 🧢
TayQuan 2-21 that’s facts 😂😂😂
@@Goatsuniversity I would submit that almost none of them do (go as hard as undergrad). No disrepect. It just is what it is.
@@lastmanstanding0050 I can agree with the above statement. 4 hours of sleep is sleep deprivation at its finest btw!
I was invited to all of the interest group meetings
I was cool with all of the geek
organizations.
If you are in college and have your focus and priorities in order and casually go to interest meetings. Then decide which group of brus you can gell with.
So I go to a school without any greek life. My main question would be are you able to rush a frat of a school you dont attend?
Aye I’m from D.C where all this originated at and my mom was a Que sweetheart and I have some uncles in the organization so I was looking into it. My only issue is I have never stepped before 😂. I know you’ve probably heard this question but do they teach you or do they just throw you in the water?
@@recordswithraniyah When did I say they did... I was talking to the guy about becoming a Que hence why I mentioned my family apart of that specific organization.... if u here me say Que and u know they originated in D.C then why would I be talking about any other frat?
Hey Justin 😂 I was like I know that guy
Love the Video, my Question though is if its all about Brotherhood/Sisterhood, why do the different fats and sorors try to dog one another out,
Making a video on that very soon, thank you for the support !
Video uploading now, check it out in about 30 minutes, thank you for the video idea !

@@geraldjohnson9162 the sad truth about Greek life it’s on my page about 2 weeks ago
I’m a senior in hs now going to asu next fall, do u think i can balance Software engineering major & being in greek life?
The laugh for Iota lol I felt that lol /G\ here
Does financial aid help pay for all the fees and dues?
Refund Checks 😭
How long is the process
May I contact you to ask some questions and just get to know a fellow African American male?
@@equallyyoked1 lol, don't care why you left. Greek life is fun.
Is it possible to be a freshman and fledge? I know one female that’s pledges as a freshman at Albany, but I’m not sure if she had some strings pulled or not?
Some orgs you can and some you can’t, I think in AKA you can but not the others
Depends on the university. Freshmen can't pledge at Howard, for instance.
I missed the interest meeting, do I still have an opportunity to join an org?
I appreciate this video a lot it really helped me bro!
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Thanks for the info bro much needed 🙏
My pleasure “like I work at chick fil a” 😂😂
Hey man i’m a upcoming highschool junior and i’ve always wanted to join a Greek Organization since i was a freshman i’ve been doing research on the specific one i would like to join but i’m also an athlete.
Good luck.
Very informative! Thanx Que.

$1500?! 😯
What if you reached out but didn't get a response back from one of the members? Should you reach out again?
Better to try to do it in person, social media leaves trails
I got a question can you join if your a transfer student ?
I'm a graduate of The Juilliard School and never had the opportunity to join a fraternity, do you have advice on how I could join an Alumni Org?😁
I made a video a couple vids back! Check it out!
Grad chapter is NOT easier if you wanna be good everywhere you go.
#IYKYK
RQQ!
Correct
This Sigma approves of this message and my homeboy got down in our grad chapter back in ATL and he was MADE Fa sho.
I appreciate the advice. I’m a freshman coming in and the fraternity I want has been permanently banned. Should I transfer to a school that has it or join when I go to grad school
Look at the video I posted yesterday bro!
@@Goatsuniversity Preciate it. What you said in that video was confirmation.💯
Do you have to be in college to join any D9 org?
Yes u do......u have to attend a credible 4 year college 🎓 and most FRATS OR SORORS U HAVE TO HAVE A 2.5 TO A 3.5 GPA
Grad chapter isn't easy... So if you're not ready to work, DON'T JOIN ‼️
Its extremely tough. Not as easy to see members to talk to them. With COVID its even harder cause there aren't as many events.
No lies. I laugh when some people say " oh I will just wait for Grad" 🤦🏽
When he said join Grad or something like it’s just that simple I laughed!!! It’s all difficult sir!!
Nah. I have seen that Grad lines get it so much easier.
2 weeks into being a member in a grad chapter and let me tell you the process wasn't no joke
what do AKAs and Deltas do as their process??
Wassup bro quick question can you join a greek organization as an online student? Or if u took a semester online can u still join??
Good question. Following.
