You should check out pictures of George when he was in the 1960s doo-wop group The Parliaments before he transitioned into funk with Parliament and Funkadelic (eventually combining to become Parliament-Funkadelic or P-Funk).
Great interview. We should give all of these Classic Artists their flowers while they are alive! We as a people need to do better. Good job sir. (RIP to DMX)

I wish he would have told the history of " Flashlight", " Aqua boogie" "Knee deep ", " One nation under a groove", and so many others . He did talk a little about " Flashlight ". But good interview.
The first time I met this man was 1976 at the Dayton Arena during the Mothership connection tour. How we got back stage was amazing especially when we were just 12 yo. We called it the falling stick method. Outside the emergency stage exit ya put sticks up against the part where the doors open and wait for someone to exit, the sticks fall down blocking the door from closing and you are in. Works in movie theaters too. So many people in costumes and walking around in clouds of smoke. Not one person said nothing to us until Boom the tall man with the wig said....who is you. We all lied and told three different stories and he laughed hard. He just walked away like we werent there. Thanks George by far the best concert I have seen
I’m old enough to remember when Flashlight dropped and I had a chance to see the Atomic Dog Tour in the early 80’s. Granted I’m not in the Frat but I can tell you the brothers in the Air Force would rise right up when it played in the club.
