  • I was thrilled to have the opportunity to speak to Denise from Dee’s Perdae Pieces about bag making! She does beautiful work and is clearly an expert at her craft. I learned so much from our discussion and I hope you are able to pick up some tips and ideas if you are thinking about adding bag making to your sewing skills. I’m lucky enough to own several of Denise’s creations and own items created at the beginning of her sewing business journey to more recent pieces and the things that have always remained consistent is the quality, the attention to detail and the creativity. Denise you are truly amazing. I know almost nothing about sewing but this was a truly fascinating video and I learned so much! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and for putting beautiful things out there in to the world😊 well done to both of you 👏👏👏

Hi Josie - I know, right!!?! They are spectacular and I fear the video doesn't entirely do them justice. And now that I own one for myself, I can see in great detail the depth of skill and expertise.

Hi Amanda - the shape feels retro, yet still modern. It was one of my favourites too. Thanks for watching.

Great video, I have made the H2O water bottle carrier and we take them when we travel - had wrinkled interfacing so now know for next time how to prevent- thank you Michelle

I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the mamacoo leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.

Here in Nova Scotia you can purchase a wide range of Marine Vinyl at Alantic Fabrics.

Hi Pearl - great tip. Thanks! It's all a bit intimidating, to be honest. I have some more cotton and canvas ideas to build some skills, but Denise really did provide some amazing inspiration. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the information. It was very hard to uderstand what Denise was saying. I couldn't get the names of some of the interfacings or the bags.

Hi Cynthia - the Aussie accent can be challenging at times. I have a list of all the companies she mentioned, including the interfacing in the description box - hopefully that helps.
