You have helped me find inspiration to make the most of my leftover fabric, and I am grateful! An idea for your channel that I have not seen many people do is kind of a drop-in on other quilters , maybe a see-what-I-found series that shows what different quilters are working on, how they have set up their space (whether it’s a room or the far end of the dining room table) and a little on their quilting story- how they started quilting, who introduced them, etc. it is a fun way to share the many talented ‘closet quilters’ and their talents, ideas, and inspiration with the larger community. Not everyone has the talent and drive to host a channel (I am grateful for those that do) but everyone does have a story to share. I also like the field trip videos, and my favorite are the patterns you create and share. Again- congratulations on a job well done and hoping for many more milestones to celebrate in the years to come.

It's a small world. I gather that you came from Montréal. I grew up in Toronto, then after marrying my Kiwi husband, spent many years in Halifax. We moved to New Zealand in 2014 and I rediscovered quilting. We are however, not moving back home as our grandbabies all live in Oz. We are therefore moving to Qland next year although I do miss Canada. Cheers and keep up the great tutorials. I love your patterns and I now make quarter square triangles from my offcuts because of you. They are much more useful than the tiny HSTs that I was used to making from my snowballed blocks.😊🇨🇦🇭🇲🇳🇿

Hi Sylvia - that's a great idea! Thanks. I'll be able to re-use a lot of what I currently have, but as I was packing, I realized that my fabric organization "system" was a complete mess. And it's even worse now that it's mainly in a bunch of boxes! Lots of sorting in my future when it all finally arrives.

I have so enjoyed looking at your patterns, queuing them up for future projects and have shared them with quilty friends. I keep small leftover bits for crumb quilting and would love more ideas using those, maybe using the rulers we all have but don’t use. I also really like medallion quilts. Regarding content ideas for down the track I love your field trips and just looking at your quilts. I think I particularly like the story behind your quilts, why it was made, where the idea came from, why did you choose that colour way. Makes it more meaningful. I rarely just make a quilt from a magazine pattern these days. To me there needs to be a story, or some meaning. If I’m going to put precious time into a project I want more than just a pattern. I enjoy reproducing antiques quilts or participating in group projects, or helping a museum raise money by buying the pattern or sewing a quilt for fun being made by many others at the same time. I’m really looking forward to your Round Robin coming up as it already has a story attached, the collaboration between the 3 of you is part of the ongoing story.
