      i get the whole sovereign thing is a strange defense to take for one's self, but I did look up driver in law dictionaries and it states that a driver is a person operating a motor vehicle or conveyance while being paid to do so in the act of commerce. i also read that if you are using your vehicle to move yourself from one place to another you are travelling. My point is that their argument does make sense if one is to go by law book definitions. i believe they need to rewrite the laws to describe a driver as anyone in control of a motor vehicle on public roadways.

    • @Eddie_Dean1985
      @Eddie_Dean1985 2 місяці тому +12

      Yeah it’s such a pathetic direction to take; attempting to maintain their control over a situation by essentially threatening someone’s employment (“I’m going to have your badge” etc) and negating the officer’s authority. Anyone with an iota of tact knows those words result in nothing but contempt from anyone who hears them. It’s amazing how many times Ive witnessed someone escalate a situation from a simple “you don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here” to multiple high level felonies. Really makes you wonder how many children are on our roads and sidewalks cos playing as grown adults.

    • @nancyslagleacts
      @nancyslagleacts 2 місяці тому

      @@Eddie_Dean1985Well said. Unfortunately, there’s a lot more than you think, as most of the self-absorbed incompetents we see in these videos have already become parents themselves (in the sense that an alley cat is a “parent”), and their children are just as bad.
      Teachers have to use similar de-escalation techniques in the classroom. Students with behavioral problems will escalate any situation in which they feel “dissed”, mostly to “keep it real” and save face in front of their homies. When told to do (or stop doing) something, these kids pull the same passive-aggressive stunts as their adult counterparts. They know they’re going to be forced to obey, so they attempt to do it on their own terms by stalling, grumbling, or only partially complying.
      Effective teachers know better than to get into a power struggle with a 10-year-old, and we often back off like the police do in the videos. It’s about giving the child a chance to comply while still “maintaining his dignity.”
      In many subsections of society, student behavior problems are so commonplace because the parent never even recognizes it as problematic in the first place.
      Many of us got a firsthand glimpse into the daily lives of these “feral parents”, thanks to the forced online learning in 2020-21. The Zoom meetings revealed these parents’ favorite daytime activities, which remained basically unchanged from before the pandemic began: moms were busy “watching” younger children (read: making TikTok videos and taking selfies), while any “men” in the house spent all their time playing XBox.

      The reason they say it is very simple really. It’s a delay tactic. You call the supervisor and then when they come ask to speak with their supervisor. This process repeats until you get the Governor coming out to speak to the perp and ideally the President of the United States. Understandably having hundreds of people from various levels of power come out to speak with someone over a simple traffic violation will make the whole stop pointless

    The most fun part of the sov cit routine is that someone is telling them that it works. So they take that bad info, then they each put their own spin on it. So there's no telling what kind of paperwork they will pull out. I'm also curious to know what they think after the fact after they paid all their court fees and fixed their window and paid all their fines and stuff. Does all that come out to less $$ than an equipment violation ticket?
