Justice League (theatrical cut) was a complete trainwreck. I wanted to walk out of that move so goddamned bad. It just sucked. The Snyder cut fixes SOME of the stuff that was wrong with the theatrical cut, and slightly improves on some other things, but.... it also makes some things worse... notably some of the edits aren't as tight... they spent a ton of money redoing Steppenwulf and he still looks like shit... and... the original cut is long and boring and tedious and brought down by the fact that they tried to stuff too much stuff into it all at once... but the Snyder cut is much longer... so... yeah... if you're going to watch it I'd recommend cutting it up into four parts and having someone over to give you a blowjob while you're doing it, or getting high maybe, I dunno. Not a good movie, though.

It was the first time we got to see Batman actually fight like Batman in live action finally. Affleck's suit finally made it a reality.

Batman just killing for no reason was a big flaw though. It would have been so much better if he hadnt. Choosing to kill Superman and ultimately deciding against it would have had much more of an impact as well, if this one rule wasnt already broken. Apart from that underrated movie though

I don't care what anyone else thinks. I personally love this movie. I love Batman. I love Superman. This movie gave me something I never had before, and it was glorious for me. I came out of the theater happy enough, but it felt kind of off, editing wise. Then I saw the ultimate edition, and I really wished it could have been the version I saw in the theater. Thank you for watching that version, since it is the better one. Loved the reaction, buddy.
I really dug it despite the flaws. Don't think it deserved that much criticism. I will say I didn't like how Lex luthor knew bruce Wayne was batman and batman seemed simple minded and too gullible.

@@nebulous8389 He was blinded by his rage, powerlessness, and paranoia. The day the Black Zero event happened was the day Bruce decided that Superman was guilty. Luthor played on this. He even remarks how easy it was to push Bruce over the edge with his notes and staged disasters because it confirmed what Bruce already wanted to be true. It's something that happens in real life. Otherwise intelligent people falling for obvious scams and false information because despite the information being sensationalized or ridiculous, it confirms what the person in question wants to be true and therefore they fall for it. Same case for Batman.

"Dicksplash" was actually Pete Ross, who became one of Clark's best childhood friends after the bus rescue. You also see him as an adult in "Man of Steel," as the manager of the IHOP that got devastated. It isn't explicitly shown in either movie, but Pete knew Clark's secret and faithfully kept it from others.
He did call Pete out in the IHOP scene in Man Of Steel when he did his reaction a couple of weeks ago.
And yeah, Clark's relationship with Pete is documented pretty well in Smallville. The show was kinda cheesy. But I liked it, lol.
But that wasn't him. It was the pastor from the church Clark went to in man of steel movie.

The end of this film changed his view on that. It was a great line in the heat of the moment but Bruce realized he was wrong. Superman was indeed brave.

"Someone insisted Clark Kent cover the event" Lex was WAY ahead of everyone. He already knew Clark was Superman and Bruce was Batman. He already had files on Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman and The Flash.
Lex is an actual supergenius. He played everyone and they all took the bait.

This Lex is really underrated. People expected a chad Lex in a business suit, but the Lex Eisenberg played was the mad scientist archetype with a modern tech twist. I think he killed the role
It's one of the things that doesn't get appreciated about this movie. People complain about exposition in movies. There is so much going on with Lex it can be missed because Zack isn't explaining everything to you. Lex was so many steps ahead.

Doomsday, yep. He appeared in the Death of Superman series back in 1989 or 1990. It was the first official comics I bought explicitly for investment purposes. I still remember and have my multiple unopened black bag and white bag copies as well.

Worked for me. I never even made the connection up until that moment.
Because no way Superman would lose to Batman first of all especially with him focused on saving his mother, and no way he would just let Batman go save his mom, he would’ve went to save his own mom to make sure she wouldn’t die with or without Batman’s help. Great movie still but it has its fair share of flaws.

But I like that they had Superman on the rope or even the losing end of their fight because of Superman is TOO UNSTOPPABLE then he becomes boring (but yet Batman fans don’t seem to think the same for him). Whether it’s by surprise, a naturally more powerful enemy, or some other circumstance, it’s good for Superman to face difficulty occasionally.
@@Jpew2007 I agree it would be boring if Superman never faced any challenges, but my issue is that Batman beat him that’s just ridiculous, Superman is crazy powerful, the only reason he didn’t immediately kill Batman was because he’s smart and knew lex couldn’t be trusted and so he tried to talk to Batman but they made Batman dumb asf to where he refused to listen to word he had to say and just starts fighting him. My point is that what would have actually happened imo is Superman would have shut that bs down immediately and could kill Batman easily, but being the good guy he is he would spare him and tell him to stfu and listen while he explains the situation, then they could team up and go save Martha, then go whoop lexs azz n kill abomination together. And IF Batman actually proved to be enough of a threat in their fight, if Superman thought for a second he could actually lose, he would immediately kill Batman without hesitation like sorry I tried to spare you but you leave me no choice then go save his mom. He wouldn’t risk his mom dying by refusing to kill Batman, he’s a good guy but he’s not that stupid to just lose because he refuses to kill Batman. If he had to he would’ve killed Batman, there’s no fckn way he would let Batman kill him like that. Batman would have to think of some crazy lex level mastermind bs plan to even have a chance of killing Superman, Superman would’ve laser visioned tf out of any lil dumb kryptonite gas grenades before they could even reach him, he would’ve used his cray vision and super hearing to locate Batman, he would have DESTROYED him in that Batman Ironman suit like swinging a sledgehammer on a soda can lol. Batman is awesome but most people are just biased and/or really don’t even understand just how powerful Superman is.

Ngl I fell asleep halfway through this one the first time I watched it. Batman rescuing Martha in that warehouse was amazing. The way he used gadgets and his style of fighting was great. Also it was cool seeing some shots straight out of the comic

@@NINJA_OUTLAW420 Well here is more stuff. This film references the comics "The Death of Superman". The story of King Arthur is called "Le Mort d'Arthur" "The Death of Arthur". There is nothing random in this film it's layered and layered.
@OUTLAW420 Kal El is King Arthur. Lois is Guinivere. Bruce is Lancelot, the (Dark) Knight. Lex is the sorceror Morgana Le Fay. Doomsday is Mordred, an evil child made of magic and blood. The spear is Excalibur, the magic weapon that can kill the demon child. If you watch Rebel Moon, I can tell you there are Arthurian characters in that too, if people can spot the connection :)

The hate this movie got was not justified at all. I mean, it did had flaws, but many people just created a lot of unnecessary hate for this. "Why isn't it like this?" "Why is the character like that?" "This is not comicbook accurate" "It should've been like this".
If you watch the movie as is and accept what it's trying to tell you, it's actually a good movie. Besides, it's the whole point of comicbooks. It's a multiverse. This one is trying to tell a different story.
I love the DCEU. It doesn't have that MCU level, but I still enjoyed it. For me, Zack's Superman trilogy is great. I enjoyed it.

Yes, Ben Affleck is bigger and bulkier. I really like this version of Batman. He's the Batman we all wanted to see come to life straight from the pages of the comics! No other Batman actor compares.
What's more, is the warehouse scene going to save Superman's mother. The fight scene with all the thugs is amazing! This is the BEST choreographed fight scene of any live-action Batman film to date! Hands down!

When you were in school did you watch The Outsiders? Martha Kent was in that movie as Cherry Valance. You should watch that sometime if you haven't. It has a star studded cast to go along with just her.

Okay so when you watch Justice League, don’t watch the one from 2017, watch Zack Snyder’s Justice League from 2021.
I love this movie. Watching the old justice league cartoons and reading the comics Batman and Superman never got along. So I was excited when this movie came out
The scene with Bruce and Alfred talking about Superman going bad is actually way deeper than it is at first glance. Bruce is the only one that accounted for everyone in the Justice League going rogue and developed counter measures for it.
If you didn't catch it, the female Senator that Lex killed is the voice of Elastigirl in the Incredibles movies 😊
Although I feel like Batman and Superman becoming allies after their blowout fight was a little rushed, I do love their interaction when Wonder Woman shows up to help them fight Doomsday.
Wonder Woman: This thing, this creature, seems to feed on energy.
Superman: This thing is from another world....my world.
Wonder Woman: I've killed things from other worlds before.... (Draws her sword)
Superman (looks at Batman): Is she with you?
Batman (looks back at Superman quizzically): I thought she was with you.
This is cinema gold to me. Such a short, simple, funny interaction between the big three.

These movies have done what I initially said would happen by now:
Age better than the Marvel movies. The MCU was grand, epic, and glorious in it's entirety as an overall panorama, but taken on their own, film-by-film, a lot of the Marvel movies were just middling efforts that were redundant and formulaic. If you saw one, you saw 'em all. The MCU movies all had the same light tone; colorful palette; overreliance on quips and one-liners; underwhelming villains; the mandatory Stan Lee cameo; and the post-credits scene that didn't always connect to the broader story in retrospect.
The DC movies have more meat on their bones and heavier concepts that they wrestle with. It really is a tragedy that the #1 DC villain isn't Joker, Lex Luthor, or Darkseid- it's WB studio executives. They've damaged the Justice League more than anyone that can be found in a DC comic book.
