I know you will probably not use this idea since I'm not a patreon supporter neither subbed, but why don't you make a video about seasonal forms for a pokémon? Right now we only have the deerling line that does it, but I imagine a fire type that changes the colour of the flame depending on the season, or a peacock mon that changes it's feather's shapes depending on the season. Seasons were introduced in gen 5 and they never have returned, but I think they were such a cool concept that could be greatly improved!
Personally I'm all for this idea, but Deerling and Sawsbuck appear more like gimmick Pokemon to display the seasons gimmick of Gen V, so I doubt it'll be seen again in future generations.
@@necrozma4029 well, it was seen in Gen 9, but the gimmick was dumbed down to "different forms depending on where it is" rather than "changes according to season".
I think ‘seasons’ was an amazing feature and I’m honestly shook that they never made any other Pokémon with seasonal mechanics. Seasons are literally the rhythm of nature . So many animals have seasonal behaviors or are dependant on it for their life spans
I love the softness in a lot of your plant designs a lot, it's really hard to capture that sense of aliveness but not like an animal aliveness, but you nail it every time
there are a small handful of canonical pokemon fusions, black and white kyurem , dawn wings and dusk mane necrozma. Iron Valiant i wouldnt say is canonically a fusion but its similarity to what a fusion of mega gardevoir and mega gallade would look like is unmistakable.
I think for Feral Beast it'd make sense to make it a Water/Electric with Protosynthesis. The ability actively makes it so you'd want to use the mon with Sun, and in return Sun boosts fire moves by 1.5x like STAB, so by making it a Water/Electric mon with a Sun ability, it kinda covers all 3 types of the og Beasts
Fun fact: A legendary fused trio already exists! In the Pokémon Adventure mangas, Team Rockets evil plan is to fuse Aricuno, Zapdos and Moltres, and successfully create the most horrifying abomination bird I have ever seen in my life.
I actually think the "core" abilities might be a bit under powered if they don't stack with stab. That essentially just turns it into adaptability but only for one of your types. They would certainly be stronger then steel worker/steely spirit, but that would fit with them being "ultra beast/paradox tier"
5:48 For some reason, this makes me think of a Grass-type convergent species of Toxapex, similar to Wiglett being a convergent species of Kantonian Diglett. As far as the fusion Pokémon in the Scarlet & Violet Books go, the only problem with the "Feral Beast" ever coming to the DLC is that Walking Wake is reptilian(or like a dinosaur) whereas the fusion and Suicune are mammalian. It's almost like Walking Wake is a convergent species of Suicune.
I'm really hoping you base a fakemon off of speculative evolution, especially since Violet really let me down there. Paradox Golbat based on the Nightstalker from After Man would be great
Always glad to see more vids from you! Might personally have changed the shinies of snappele and hybrake to two different colors that then merge into a different mix, like blue + yellow = green for example. Still love the mons though
DLC is definitely confirmed by datamining - notice how there's a huge area on the far northeast of Paldea that's totally inaccessible? That was confirmed via datamining to be where the DLC content will show up
I think the Hybridization concept of closely related pokemon could be a fun gimmick for a future game, and technically we already have it with Kyurem's black and white forms. Perhaps a Legends styled game featuring Kyurem could introduced Hybridized Pokémon? A lot of gen 5's roster is analogous to gen 1, so perhaps they could make a mechanic that Unovan native Pokémon can be bred with Kanto Pokémon to produce a unique Hybrid, like A hybrid of Tentacrule and Jellicent becoming a Ghost/Poison Pokémon.
0:31 no they are called paradox form because they were taken from their time and placed in an era where they don’t belong Sometimes par·a·dox of time .Physics, Thermodynamics. the contradiction between the concept of time in quantum physics, according to the theory of relativity, where processes are time-symmetric and reversible, and the concept of time in thermodynamics, according to the second law of thermodynamics, where processes have a direction and are irreversible.
I love learning with your videos! not only do you have great fakemon/possible pokemon concepts, but there's methodical research put into them and you explain the science behind it really well. thanks!
I've been saying it around and most have ignored it (to my knowledge), but have you seen mega steelix in a while? If you go back and look at it, it's got crystals that are crazily similiar to tera crystals sticking out of it (the crystals both have green, pink, blue, and yellow sheen), and along with that it has HEXAGON symbols on it too, it could be the second biggest link to mega and tera being related since salamence.
Whenever I think of Hybrid Animals I think of the Samonella comment about it, and now I can only think of a Skuntank Slaking fusion, the Skunk Ape pokemon lol
I think a neat alternative for trading to obtain Hydrake would be to require having bred the two types. Like wild ones can't evolve, or have a low chance of having the 2 alleles already.
I'm curious about Feral Beast, and I think it helps your case. We have a time of when the beasts were (born?created?) so they can't be that old. (On a side note, you think fire/water > fire/electric?)
Oddly enough, the beast legend takes place 150 years before the main games while the Scarlet book was written 200 years ago, so the drawing couldn't have been influenced by the legendary beasts.
if I were to fuse two Pokémon together I’d go with yamask and dhelmise but rather than have them be one coherent pokemon both the yamask and dhelmise that possessed the ship parts would constantly be fighting for control
I thought by "Imagined" it meant that somebody witnessed the pokemon, but nobody believed the witness, even with the picture they drew. Similar to how people used to think that Giraffes with mythological creatures.
Snappele and it's Evo look like pseudo legendaries. Beef up Snappele's stats and make the Evo machenic really tricky and it's already a better choice than some of the more recent pseudo legends
If we go by similar abilities, the Core abilities would not override STAB in the actual games. They would stack just like Transistor, Dragon's Maw, etc. If you think they care about game balance... Gholdengo, Palafin, Flutter Mane, etc. exist.
I don't know if anyone in all this time has mentioned it. But the funny thing about the fused beasts in Scarlets book is that given the years talked about and the actual timeline of pokemon. That artist would've drawn a fusion of the three beasts before the three beasts even existed. They made that drawing before the Tin Tower even burned down.
I feel the idea of the fussion of dogs kinda had no reason, and same with virizion and the others. Maybe they should make the Reshiram + Zekrom + Kyurem that will have more sense
Ehh I have a closer feeling past suicune could be a water dragon type, and future virizion is grass psychic, im not giving the reason why, neither to any replys any would say to this post
