I've been feeling this ever since Scarlet and Violet came out. I've been working on my own fan region in private and a lot of fakemon I made are very similar to ones in the new games. There's some general ones like a macaw and a dolphin that im fine with keeping since their designs and concepts are not similar to the real pokemon (plus its not like there can only be one pokemon for every animal anyway). I made an electric frog fakemon line called tadic (tadpole and static) and circuitoad. 2 weeks later we got bellibolt. I scrapped them. Ever since I've been trying to find ways to repurpose them.
An idea I had wrt the mint and pepper Pokémon just now: Since they only *feel* like those types, I would have made them Something like Grass/Poison and give them abilities that makes their STAB moves add the simulated type. So for instance the menthol one, it’s grass-type moves for the sake of weakness and resistance are treated as “grass/ice” (similar to Hawlucha’s signature move which is both fighting and flying)
i’m making a fakemon region based on australia and one of my starter is fire/grass, i had that idea before scarlet and violet was even announced but unfortunately people won’t believe it, i also had a design for an electric/flying bird…
I hope you do choose to go with the idea of a school setting and graduating into a champion. I think while yes, scarlet and violet are very similar to that, the way they go about it kinda sucks. I forgot there was even a school aspect of it before I beat the elite four and I don’t think I even went in the building once after the start of the game. Something with more of a focus on the idea of a school could really be awesome.

Your game is gonna be amazing with a lineless style :)
Please! Don't abandon your Wooper and Labsire! I love them, especially Labsire's tail - such a cool design :D
I made an electric frog fakemon line called tadic (tadpole and static) and circuitoad. 2 weeks later we got bellibolt. I scrapped them. Ever since I've been trying to find ways to repurpose them.
I love your lineless style
1:53 You Could Change The Name To Be A Mix Of Stem And Axolotl, Like Stemlotl!
5:22 I said "mallard reaction" when my friend and I were watching it and they were screaming in delight so yeah

axolotls are my favorite animal and i love when people give them love with pokemon
Hey me and my friend were making a pokemon region back to 2020 and if it’s ok if I use similar features of your pokemon bc it’s cool 😅
this video slays bruh. 10/10 ideas and opinions on art
I had an idea for a good luck grass cat starter but then spriggatito was announced so
Now I’m imagining Capsol as a Physical attacker and Minter is a Special attacker.
An idea I had wrt the mint and pepper Pokémon just now:
Since they only *feel* like those types, I would have made them Something like Grass/Poison and give them abilities that makes their STAB moves add the simulated type.
So for instance the menthol one, it’s grass-type moves for the sake of weakness and resistance are treated as “grass/ice” (similar to Hawlucha’s signature move which is both fighting and flying)
please tell me that your capsaicin and menthol pokemon are version exclusive, that'd fit with the whole "rivals" motive that you gave them 🙏
is there a stema wiki yet
oh my god your fakemon are so so cute! i love fakemons so much; its so cool to see them!
This is a cool concept for a region!
I think you can keep Labsire as a single stage mon, even if you think you'd rather not have the wooper variant. Labsire looks like it's its own thing
If you know, will your games have shinies or a dex like thing?
The name origin for nORtist is so sweet I’m dead
the name of capsakid is very similar to your pepper mons name aswell. (the caps from capsaicin in name)
Oh my god, Labsire is actually adorable! 😍
I wish it was official because goddamnit, you made an actual cinnamon roll out of a cinnamon roll.
i’m making a fakemon region based on australia and one of my starter is fire/grass, i had that idea before scarlet and violet was even announced but unfortunately people won’t believe it, i also had a design for an electric/flying bird…
Something with more of a focus on the idea of a school could really be awesome.
omg i love this channel so much :D
Scarlett and Violent feels like a fangame anyways, and also the similarities ain't too noticeable(for me at least). Your art style is also different and cute.
