In today's wedding filmmaking behind the scenes, I’m sharing my wedding color grading secrets. Color grading is often seen by wedding filmmakers as a super daunting task. It doesn’t have to be! I firmly believe less is more when it comes to almost everything the same applies to color correction. I’ll teach you how to color grade your wedding films quickly and easily without being a professional colorist. I’ll also show you how to use LUTS and the best LUTS to use in your weddings. The best part is you can apply the education in this tutorial in whatever video editing platform you use. These color grading tips will work in Davinci Resolve, FCPX, and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Hi Rachel! These Native presets are the same as the Native presets we released before :) However they are different from the original FF presets :)

Ooof. Did he just say not to use Log? Man, Im gonna have to make a video about how easy LOG footage is to work with in Resolve with color space transform. No color shifts, no luts, literally one step and you get perfect Rec 709 footage.
What if you're shooting in a mixed light environment? Say, a church where the alter is around 5600k and the everything else is super warm?

which picture profile would you use?
Oh, man. The thought of shooting anything other than SLOG3 on my A7SIII scares me, but I'm tempted to maybe give a more neutral color profile try and see how it goes!
I see you use Final Cut Pro. I just switched from premiere to final cut pro, and was curious if there is a chance of a possible video on your workflow and how you edit your wedding films.
If SLOG is workign for you I'd say stick with that :) Great idea of doing a video on my editing workflow will need to add that to the list of education content to create for you guys!

@@IsaacSuttleFilms the work with LOG footage too! I’d recommend correcting the Log footage first then applying the lut 👍🏻

After 2 years of no weddings here in Spain and the season finally kicking off I only just found this video and missed the free LUTs you provided . Is there a change of throwing this just rebooted wedding videographer a bone please? Would really like to see if the luts work for me 🙏
You cans set FCP to default to Color Wheels so you don't have to change it every time.
For Sony do you recommend Neutral over S Cinetone?

Using LUTs is not color grading.
