@@MinuteManClips This "bot" account has been on UA-cam for 7 years while stay awake joined in 2021. Kinda strange they'd be planning so far ahead.

Hold up....the cop told Jack that there was nothing they could do about the harassment, but then AFTER he's dead, they charge Bob with "Criminal Harassment"? So they COULD have charged him before the murder, which may have saved his life?
As usual, excellent police work.
Yea, I caught that too
You can’t depend on cops for shit these days.
exactly what i was thinking
Most Canadian are Demented liberals
I was involved in a hit and run. My car was rear ended and the person took off. The cop assured me he would contact me as soon as he knew anything. I called half a dozen times, left messages for his supervisor as well. I NEVER received a call back. Thank you Surprise, AZ for your excellent police work! You guys are horrible.
Calls 911 "I'm being threatened." "Okay, but you have to be threatened for us to do something."
Knowing Canada, I’m sure that officer was really sorry
Right
I mean it’s true. You can’t arrest someone because of a perceived threat.
We, as viewers, know that the threats during their argument were going to be acted on. But at the time, it was just an argument over email. At MOST it was cyber bullying.
While morally wrong, it’s not illegal. And we know lawyers don’t deal in morals lol
@@jaedonthompson2219it doesn’t have to be an explicit threat though, it just has to cause a reasonable person to believe on reasonable grounds that the person is going to carry out a threat
@@jaedonthompson2219 Not true at all that's the whole purpose of a restraining order if you prove that you're in fear of your life or being threatened you're allowed to get a protection order doesn't mean they go to jail right away but if they violate the order then they go to jail I just went through this with my ex-girlfriend once she violated after making threats they locked her up
Cops: "There's nothing we can do. He didn't break any laws with his emails."
2 minutes...
"He was charged for criminal harassment for his emails."
Too many people paying attention so they had to do their jobs lol
Yeah that actually pisses me off.
Criminal harassment is different than making threats. Criminal harassment would be repeated unwanted emails after being told to stop contact. The victim was calling about threats not the amount of email they were receiving.
Very very rarely do cops stop crimes they show up after. People tell the cops all the time they are in danger and the cops wait until something happens. Protect yourself. When seconds matter cops are only minutes away. In some cities they aint coming at all.
@@digiblak997 very well said
"I'm sorry sir, policy is that we can only arrest them after it's too late. Have you tried insulting him? It might make things easier for us."
So true !
You can’t put people in jail for future crime. And even if you did they would get out the same day.
Reminds me of the time my ex threatened to kill me over text and when I called police to tell them I was genuinely scared for my life (considering my ex has abused me in the past and knew where I lived) and they told me there was nothing they could do until he actually carried through. So, they basically told me I would have to *die* before they could do anything.
“Yeah, I’m just going to keep receipts that are REALLY incriminating evidence in my home, especially when I’ll be a suspect.” GENIUS
Thats what I thought, too! Haha, not to mention the stuff they bought left there and go with the "hitman" to all thr store where there are cameras, then shave your face and leave the hair in the sink?! Wtf 😂
Also didn't even bother to clean the sink after shaving. Not only should you do that normally after shaving, but why wouldn't you do it AFTER murdering someone? Makes no sense at all

His mistake was calling 911 and expecting the random dispatcher to do something about the situation. That's a person that's used to taking reports about thefts or domestic violence or something. As the president of a mortgage company he should have made an appointment to talk to the chief of police or someone much much higher up the food chain than a random 911 dispatcher.
@@DetectiveTrupo203 Dispatcher was also wrong about the law. There's no requirement for the attacker to say "I'm going to ..."
Gets me every time when the police officer can see right through her horrible acting and fake crying, and also rejects her embrace 😂
They really are great actors, the detectives, to let the suspect act like that while knowing they are a murder, it's really poetic. And all the while they know but still play the part.
good catch, I never noticed before how he actually kinda kept pushing her away and keeping his proxemic distance from her

Ha! No doubt!
Sarah Boone creeps me out. What a heinous way to kill somebody
“ *Nawt* intentional.”
That acting was terrible. She burst in to “tears” before the cop had even gotten the fact that her husband was dead out of his mouth.
That's what gets me about the jury members who thought she might be innocent. I know not everyone reacts to bad news the same way, but immediately breaking out into sobs before the police *told you anything* is really suspicious.
@@FrenkTheJoy yeah, that's wild. I'd seen her on another channel, but three trials?! I missed that.

6:45 - whoever voted not guilty on that second trial should never be a part of the judicial system again. I dont know how much more evidence someone could need to prove guilt
I thought that too and deep down you have to know just like I do that the juror's not guilty vote was a symptom of boneritis. Had to be because as absurd as that is, it's really the only rational explanation that I can think of as to how that could happen.
They only had motive, threats, footage, receipts, and a confession. Maybe the guy just likes making hilarious threats, and his buddy simply wanted a loan at the same place hours form his residence, has delicate hands, is sensitive to light, likes buying disguises with his friend, and confessed to a murder he totally didn't commit to impress a mob moss. Totally reasonable!
I wonder how it took three trials to convict Dalia. Seems open and shut
Blows my mind
women on average get 50% less jail time than men for the same exact crime.

like her legs i imagine, then onto the next sucker who believes her lies like all the other morons.
The appeal she won was procedural, the jury came in with prior knowledge of the case and the defense was not allowed to ask questions about it during jury selection. DIPPOLITO v. STATE (2014). Why the jury hanged is anyone's guess, juries are mysterious. Since their defense was entrapment I would assume their strategy was to have her cry and play the innocent helpless victim. All you need is 1 out of 12 jurors who think a sobbing decent looking female can't be evil.
Easy: all the women in the jury found the crime justifiable because the husband must've been abusing her, as all women are good.
How on EARTH did Dippolito get a hung jury? Her crime was literally on video. Sickening she gets out so soon too.
It was for a reality TV show.
Half the jurors felt like she was entraped and felt she should be charged with a lesser crime. The judge said they can't change the charges.

So the officer on the telephone tells Jack that the emails he received from Bob were not criminal, but after the murder, they arrest Bob for criminal harassment because of the emails. How awful that the guy on the phone didn’t take Jack’s concerns seriously.
“I’m giving you my word that it’s not true.” Wow, I’ll never trust someone’s word again
"No, we, the police, cant warn someone to change their behavior." (???) Yes they can! They do that all the time! When someone is clearly harassing someone else, they can choose to talk that person and tell them you should really stop, you're skirting the line of a crime right now, and we take that very seriously. To PREVENT a crime. You know, like, de-escalating...??

I’ve been checking EVERYDAY for a new upload. THANK YOU! My favorite Canadians!
I find the commercial mortgage lending company story a little disconcerting, in that, the cops at first refused to do anything. I mean, not even talk to the party who is doing the threatening, in writing. Next thing you know, the man who is threatened is dead! This gave the bad guys ample time to orchestrate his murder. The only way this 911 call works is when someone else calls for you after you are dead. His wife's testimony is very heart breaking. She said that there are clearly no winners in this situation. The outcome of the trial changes nothing. And as perfect as the prosecution was said for this case, these 2 bozos still got a second trial, even though Mr Beauchamp got no second chance at life. All the shopping around these guys did, prior to this murder, did not convince a Judge that they planned it? Karim, who actually did the shooting, gets life after 18 years, but Bob who hired him is out in 4 years. It sounds toxic. It means the Court decided that Mrs. Beauchamp's husband's life was worth 4 years to the man who literally in writing threatened to take it!
What your pointing out is a major deficit in the public safety system. People that are threatened , harassed and stalked may not be taken seriously until it's too late. I am not sure why this is, my guess tied to resources / cost to have officers respond and watch the well being of at risk individuals.
His mistake was reporting it to the wrong person. A 911 dispatcher takes reports of low level crimes happening currently, like thefts and assaults. Being the president of a mortgage company, he should have reported the situation to someone much higher up the food chain than a random dispatcher he happened to get connected to by calling 911. He should have made an appointment to meet with the chief of police along with his lawyer so they could properly explain the seriousness of the situation to someone who has the authority to do something about it.
An $18K "commitment fee" whether the loan is approved or not. Not sympathetic to the loan shark's demise.
The comment I was looking for! What is that fee? Sounds unethical to charge someone 18k for a ‘commitment fee’ or am I missing something?
It’s paper.
He just worked for the company, he didn't get that $18k personally. also, the borrowers are fully aware of the fee, they have to sign a contract, they don't have a gun to their head when signing the contract, they can refuse to sign if they don't agree to the fee.
It doesn't sound like the _loan_ is the bit that failed; it sounds like the problem was elsewhere, between the borrower and the construction company and such
The man borrowed $1 million with an $18k fee. When his project failed he could have filed bankruptcy but he didn't. The man didn't set this amount the bank itself did. He knew when he signed that contract he was obligated to pay. He didn't know his housing project would fail but he should have thought of that problem happening. Some never think of the cons of what could happen when doing something like this. They only think of the pros like the money they'll make. You have to plan for the worst and this guy acts like offing the loan manager would make the debt disappear. Nope that's not how it works. Now he has to serve time and still pay the loan.
Remember the time when undercover cops tried to buy drugs from undercover cops?

How could there be three trials?? Why was the first overturned, and even more confusing, why was the second a no verdict?
I can only imagine it was a clerical error or something. A lawyer not filling out a form which caused evidence to be inadmissible or something like this. It's just a guess, I have no actual further knowledge of the case. But if I had to guess it was something like this.
A no verdict or hung jury can happen. If there's no 100% agreement and n guilty or not guilty by the jury
First trial, it's was deemed most, if not all , the jurors were familiar with the case before the trail started and may have been biased. The second trail was a hung jury with a reported 50/50 split. Half the jurors said they felt like she was entraped and wanted lesser charges but the judge said they couldnt change what she was charged with.
Stayawake, you're doing a great job with these videos! Very well done! I read the "about" section on your channel and that's awesome that you're doing something you like and you're very good at it!

$14000 intention fee!!?? What a scam! Also, Jack was a real jerk.
If a call like Jack's is placed to the police and they give the bullshit answer that they won't do anything, and that person is later killed, the police should be held civilly liable.
"We can't warn people to chsnge their behavior" dont they do that shit all the time ?
The word gas lighting gets thrown around so loosely even when there is no gas lighting involved..... Dahlia's case is the perfect example of what gasolating actually is. " I heard what you heard and I saw what you saw and it is not true" Even though it's literally on recording. It's just so wild To see it in action like that , like to know that it was recorded And that she actually saw the recording and still told him it was fake is so crazy to me
So jacks company charged him 18,000 but couldn’t get him the mortgage loan? So they charged him $18,000 but didn’t do anything for him?
Sounds like it, that is pretty awful and predatory. 18k is a good chunk of change for most people. I'm not saying there is ever an excuse to harm someone or m*rder someone
Looks like they were both scumbags in their own ways. I guess likes attract

Idk why but this particular case never grows old for me, i watch each of my favorite creators' retelling of it. Love the channel.
Imagine the cops at a bar after the sting just cracking up at how bad her acting was 😂
So the victim, Jack, called emergency services because he felt that he was being verbally threatened. Then, in an apparent effort to get his adversary to make _explicit_ threats that would be legally actionable, he insults the guy. But he said, in his own words, that a "war of words" would not move him. So he's trying to get this guy to make verbal threats, but at the same time, he's explicitly telling him that words aren't enough. Kind of a whoopsie, you know, looking back.
How the hell is 2 for 1 a fair system?

That's incredible how the orchestrator of the murder gets less time than the murderer. The blood might not be on his hands but the murder was in his heart.
It's terrible the incompetence of the police, lawyers and judges in these cases.
Some of whom on the face of it should be open and shut.
But of course the police scuttle their investigation, the prosecutor doesn't present a clear case, and the judge gives faulty instructions to the jury what a mess the judicial system is 🤦🏻

My favorite crime channel.
I love this compilation. So interesting.
Bob might as well have had a dartboard with Jack’s face on it with the number of clues he left.
In the end, Bob did only 4 years for murder. And there’s no way it was second degree, this was premeditated and planned ahead of time. There was time for Bob to change his plans before his hired gunman arrived at the bus terminal, before they went shopping, after they went shopping, on the way to the office building, etc. It’s not justice that he only spent 4 years in prison for this.
I have to wonder when someone has to pay $18000 to even apply a loan. That seems scummy.
Jacks company stole 18 k from there client legally and jack paid for it with his life
Except if you had paid attention, you'd have heard that Bob Deer refused to pay the $18,000.

Not disgusting that the man who (unlike Dalia) _actually_ _succeeded_ in getting a man killed got 4 years? Interesting perspective.
I never get tired of this story... I love when liars get called out that blatantly
That phonecall with her husband was wild. The guy saw and heard it with his own eyes and ears and she's just telling him he didn't. She should have got more time. And if it was a man it wouldn't have taken 3 trials. Ridiculous.

Accurate video title "Times an undercover op led to convictions" or something along those lines.
They had all that recorded on a tape but it still took three trials to convict her?!
If my wife tried to murder me and they have video and audio of her assembling the crime I don't think I could listen and watch the footage it would break me
BEEEETA
Any person in a serious marriage might feel that way. But they were married less than a year, and only got together a few months before that. Possibly not the closest relationship...
Nah I gotta know for sure 100% that the person I loved never existed. Easier to walk away from her once I know she's a sociopath that I couldn't possibly truly know, than this person I called "my wife" that never existed in anyone's mind but my own.
Why would it break you? She ain't your mother or sister or really close relative you've known your whole life. This is a total stranger you met and stayed with and loved, but you didn't love her like that. I would find it really interesting and would want to watch the video numerous times. Especially if I was having a hard time believing it, I would watch that video over and over till I absolutely hated her.
The 911 operator was the absolute WORSE in this case smh.
That was a police officer, not a 911 operator. Jack had requested a call back from an officer to report these threats and seek help, and that call back is what you hear on that recording.
911 operator shouldn’t be telling the caller things like that. That’s not his job.
Another fantastic video. The best in true crime!
How the Fuck do you get a hung jury when you have videos of her arranging the murder? Some juries are...Not all that smart.
The instant shaking of the hand when she was told "the news" had me cracking up!!!😂😂😂
Wait -- I'm seriously confused. His emails weren't deemed threatening or harassing, and yet after a man is killed, they're deemed to be enough to charge him over? How does that make sense? In what world does that make sense?
why it took 3 trials its hard to understand.
Surprised you haven't covered this story already!!
I love this story. I watch it every time a channel uploads it lol.
How does a jury of my peers not find her immediately guilty? Pretty privilege… hopefully these idiots will never be allowed on another jury…
Ayyyo, new video.
That 911 dispatcher was such a fool. The man was literally being threatened and he’s all “welp, that doesn’t count.” That dispatcher is partially responsible for Jack’s death!
“Hopefully nothing comes of this” was so chilling
Also the fact that the were able to charge for criminal harassment POST death, yet there were conveniently no grounds for criminal action when Jack called himself is so ridiculous
Because it wasn't enough to constitute a threat, as explained. Also, one probably shouldn't be responding to these threats, calling the other person a "moron". He escalated the situation which caused his death.
That wasn’t a dispatcher. Jack had requested a call back from a cop to discuss these threats. This was that call back. The person Jack’s talking to on that recording was a cop.
