@Demian10x I wasn't the biggest fan of Armenia this year (have never said that before 2011, still trying to get the odd taste of saying that off my tongue). I'm actually kinda glad Armenia didn't make it. It'll remind them they can't get in the final with whatever.
I wasn't the biggest fan of Slovenia this year. It was a decent song, but it didn't do it for me. Glad you liked it though!

I was so ashamed of being of Portugal this year
Hugs of sympathy from Croatia. Both of these songs are horrid trainwrecks which should be spoken of no more. Thankfully, we got to better things with Amar pelos dois / Telemovies and Lighthouse / My Friend later on. :)

We ended up last 3 years later. The worst was yet to come.
I think part of it was that he lowered the song an octave from the studio track to the live performance
Sure, the year as a whole was not the best, but even there we had some great songs - Slovenia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Ukraine, Denmark, Ireland - to name a few.

The 2011 edition wasn't particularly weak... I think the songs just weren't good enough to fill the huge stage that we had here.

No, Portugal did. Cyprus wasn't the most memorable one, but it's certainly far more pleasant than at least 10 other songs.

It was bad that a lot of the strong contending countries did not make it and the ones that did ranked low...Azerbaijan truly came out of nowhere...When I say political I mean EBU wants something done in Azerbaijan ...it has to be true

a lot of good songs but also a lot of underrated and overrated so the results are terrible. Overrated: Azerbaijan winner , Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Moldova, Georgia and (Russia in final really???)
Underrated: no final for (Norway, San Marino, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Belarus), Finland, Iceland, Hungary and Spain

Referring to the result, this was the weirdest ESC ever! I mean, why did Moldova, Georgia, Greece, Ukraine, Italy and Azerbaijan get those high places???!??!?! Totally undeserved.

Who on earth voted on Azerbaijan? She couldn't sing for the life of her! And the song is pretty boring in my opinion. I think this is the only time in the history of ESC that I don't like the winner song the slightest. No. 25, 24, 23, 21, 20, 18, 17, 15, 14, 13, 11, 10, 8, 5, 4, 3, 2 and many others were so much better in my opinion. And I never heard anyone talking about the song, mentioning it as a favourite or anything like that. It's bizarre to me that they won
