Thank you to Ian Ruddock, by the way, for providing the wonderful harp and guitar pieces used in this demo (ianruddockharp @ gmail.com, feel free to contact him for collaborations etc)!
I’am into IOS Music making since a few months now and I love your tutorials. They are a great inspiration to me and very usefull to get familiar with all the possibilities. Thanks!! I love MixBox as well, great to have this one in my collection 😀
For anyone who has little or no effects yet, this seems like the immediate ultimate and carefree solution, especially considering the relatively low release price. For everyone else, the combination of so many effects in combination with the mass of presets under one roof could be a not only convenient benefit in the workflow. Anyway, this impression came back to me more and more as the video progressed.
Every time I try to move out of iOS and back toward laptops for general DAW business something like this comes out... holy fudge. This looks utterly amazing.
Your pointing out that the rack presets help you to get a combination of effects that might be otherwise difficult or time consuming for you to dial in is significant. The sound quality is outstanding and showing the presets on different source material demonstrates how wide ranging the app really is.
This one has generated a lot of interest but my budget was used up on Black Friday. So, glad you got some codes 😁. I think the heavy skeuomorphism comes from the desktop and an earlier time. Personally, I think it is a bit much here, but I suppose it helps you recognize the effects.
Looks and sounds great! I agree that having many presets created by experts is really valuable for those of us who aren't professional audio engineers. Thanks for the app run-through and the sidechaining tutorial!
The UI is incredible. I think my fingers would cramp up from turning all those knobs and pushing the buttons. The drum presets are insanely good. Great introduction to a beautifully designed app.
Hoping for a comparison between this and other emulations for the vintage modules! Still this looks like a great package. Very bright future for iOS music.
Wow! That harp playing and you going through different presets was ethereal! Like the music from an old horror film. love it. What is also nice is your unbiased review/demo. Really gives potential buyers the best idea whether its worth purchasing.
Incredibly dangerous. Not only is it pricey, but every preset you applied to Xynthesizer altered its sound to where I’m concerned about how much time I’d end up spending trying to find the “perfect” alteration to suit whatever sound I process through this. 😂 Very impressed by this versatile toolkit.
Pretty amazing that these classic patch bay effects from my pro audio career are now available in this format. That upright bass patch on Session Band Jazz is excellent. I’d like to try it on iBassist’s upright.
Wow that's some app! They have come a long way with their apps. I still use sample tank for iOS despite all its quirks I do love I f thanks foe the tutorial and thanks for the chance to win a copy of this !
Expensive - But worth it. Particularly like the ability to power down the first slot from outside the App Slot in AUM. The Delay Chains are excellent. But worth digging deep - no gardening this weekend!!!! Don’t forget to register and get an additional set of presets. Great introduction video!
This looks amazing. What it can do to the sound of a wet sock splotched against the wall will evidently be spectacular. Never the less the more conventional drums, guitar, synth n bass.
I saw this the other day and saw a few demo’s 😳 What an incredible piece of kit. I’d just be worried it’d put so many of my purchases into early retirement 😉
Gavin is King Picadillo approved! Whether it’s these super thorough tutorials/run-throughs or the solid, friendly and consistent contributions on ABF, he is a shepherd in this uncharted iOS music making landscape. Thanks for the hard work 🎹🎙📽📺

I have the IK multimedia Sample tank 4 & studio for the Mac. Very good quality & versatility, would be very useful on IOS. Thank you Gav for walking us through this. 70! effects!
Very good idea. Did you ask Jonatan for this? Yeah, as I say in the vid, having such quality multi fx presets is definitely a major selling point of this for me.
@@GavinskisTutorials Pretty sure I mentioned this to him a while ago, but it's worth mentioning to him again in case he's interested. Guess it depends on the other priorities for AUM :)
@@GavinskisTutorials I think something similar to Ableton racks, but initially it could simply be saving groups of AUv3 fx together as presets to load on a channel. But you could have definable macro controls etc.
Just as I have become interested (in a theoretical lottery winning situation) in the real 500 series lunch box style hardware, this comes out on ios. It sounds great, and seems super useful, especially with very useful presets.
Well I was planning to buy this app tonight, then I saw your giveaway announcement so I figured I'd try my luck. Then I started watching your video, and now I'm back to thinking I'll be buying tonight. I'm not a presets guy, but some of those were truly lovely. The Walkman one sounded so good on the harp. I think the simplified controls will make it sooo much easier to dial in pleasing sounds, than tweaking like a madman on some of the deeper IOS apps. Man, I think I'm just a sucker for modules.
Incredible. Really enjoyed your exploration of Mixbox CS. I have been waiting for something just like this to make its way to iPad. I do a lot of work in Logic Pro X on my iMac, but over the last 2 months I have been increasingly working in Cubasis 3 using my Focusrite Scarlett Solo on my iPad Pro 11 2020. The performance is astonishingly good and now I have been doing much of my preliminary songwriting and vocal tracking while I’m mobile. IK Multimedia just made my iMac a bit lonelier. I used to use T-Racks when I used ProTools back in 2008. Great pack of effects, very excited to have this for iOS now. I did just pick up AUM on Black Friday and am eager to experiment with multi instances of MixBox.
WOW! On iOS!!! Thank you very much for amazing overview! Was going to get it for desktop, but other things come over it. ((( Now, if I will not have a copy from you I will definitely get it from App Store!
Wow, the mixbox on iOS !! I’m really excited for the future of iOS music production, excited to add this to my arsenal when I get that reply notification ! 😁😂

Thanks for the in depth demonstration. MixBox has a nice mix of modules. I wish it would allow expansion to more than 4 modules, but not a big deal. Probably better to have them all on one screen and we can always double up on MixBox instances.
Thanks for demoing this amazing app!! I am so excited!! This is really amazing having the possibility to use all these effects in our own productions!! Heavy equipament of the past in our litght ipads!! Lol
Halfway through so far, very interesting. I KNOW IK Multimedia provides incredibly good quality, so this IS very enticing. The price is right as well, I'd say. For me, its really exciting to see the gap narrow between IOS music-making and desktop. One thing I'd like to understand better is DSP usage and how many instances you can have comfortably running, you might cover this later in the video lol. I'm already pushing some Cubasis sessions with a just a couple of instruments on my new iPad pro. Thanks for the great video.
Wow, this does a lot! Fantastic intro video, 70 presets really gets my mouth watering! It does seem to be priced pretty well IMO. It’s essentially $.50 a plugin, not bad. Excited to check out your other vids, found you on the AB Forums.
May be a good value if the plugins sound good, but hard to justify the price with so many other plugins from so many good developers out there. Keep the tutorials coming!! They’re very much appreciated.
With limited screen space on iPad this rack tyoe of set up really appeals. One space for all your fx. Organisations is key on iOS !! Midi learn in app would be great and agree some built in LFO's would be awesome!
What a piece of work from IK Multimedia ! All these tiny luscious racks 🤗 And sounding very good. Again, a leap toward pro iOS music production. Prices are rising slowly on this platform but so does quality and 40$ for 70 FX modules is still a bargain. Thanks for this overview.

The knob sensitivity is just right, it’s not difficult to make small precise adjustments. I’m a sucker for the skeuomorphic stuff when it’s done right and here it makes everything familiar and intuitive from the jump. Hope IK keeps this updated and they could potentially add more iap effects in future. Keep up the good work thanks.
Wow, this is nuts. So many effects and you made such good use of it. The spaces presets are my favorite, so very nice. The price is a hard pill to swallow but I think it is actually reasonable as you get so much out of it. I do hope IKM continues to improve and maintain, particularly LFO in the app itself - that's the one thing that really sticks out as missing.
Yeah man, that is something I want to be added very badly, and would genuinely make it a gamechanger. Please write to them to ask for this to be added. Generally larger companies need quite a lot of 'motivation' to make such changes

Wow, this could be the last iOS FX purchase needed...until the next one! Haha! Really does sound great and I love the time-saving aspect which may be the real value here. Definitely worth $40 although Black Friday has decimated my bank account so will have to meditate on it...unless I win! ;)
I have the desktop version to this and to be honest I don't use it as much as I should. I will invest in the iOS version though and really dive in. May just inspire me to start using the the desktop version even more. Cheers
Really looking forward to checking out the tutorial to see how deep this goes. I like it because it simplifies the workflow of running things through effects rather than digging through my effects folder, and hoping I remember which effects app does what. Another great fine sir. Thank you.

Great app ans great tutorial to get familiar with this app. I love your tutorials as I started IOS music making since a few months and your channel inspires me! 😀
Thank you Jeroen!
You’re making it tough to justify NOT getting this one. So many great effects. The price though had me questioning if I really needed it.
Focusing on the presets is a wise way to get acquainted with this beast of a plug-in and it's many capabilities, thank you!
Wow, this could be the last iOS FX purchase needed...until the next one! Haha! Really does sound great and I love the time-saving aspect which may be the real value here. Definitely worth $40 although Black Friday has decimated my bank account so will have to meditate on it...unless I win! ;)
Until the next, yup haha.
This looks incredible. Hoping to win since I just spent so much already on the holiday sales
Great run through again!
This looks amazing and would be the perfect weapon in anyone's sonic arsenal! Good luck everyone!!!
I have the desktop version to this and to be honest I don't use it as much as I should. I will invest in the iOS version though and really dive in. May just inspire me to start using the the desktop version even more. Cheers
Some lovely presets in there and I’m totally with you on the lfo idea that would really add so much to this...
Really looking forward to checking out the tutorial to see how deep this goes. I like it because it simplifies the workflow of running things through effects rather than digging through my effects folder, and hoping I remember which effects app does what. Another great fine sir. Thank you.
The tape cassette module sounds sweet!
Wow, this is great! I take my chances and throw a comment in here. Destiny... i am ready for a Christmas’s Miracle 👊🏼🙃 have a Great one today! 👋🏼
I'm intrigued to experience this app in use, thanks for the video exploration to help us with that decision whether to buy or not.
Definitely need this. Was hoping you would do a demo. Also curious to read the comments from those who already purchased as your viewers seem to be more elite, mature, and honest just as you are.
This thing looks and sounds like a beast. I have so many FX and still want this one. Another great video @Gavinski’s Tutorials
Very informative review as always Gavin! The FX sound fantastic. This will definitely be a great addition to every IOS musician's toolbox.
Indeed Scott, and thanks again for your PayPal donation, very kind!
Definitely looks like a lot of sound design fun to be had with this one, especially for occasional guitarists like myself.
This has Useful written all over it. If only the Black Friday sales hadn't taken all of my money.
Amazing tool! Good luck everyone!
this looks like a very nice xmas gift...
Wow this sounds amazing.i haven’t looked into this until now. Great video, now I want to add it to my app library. Keep up the amazing work.
