There are so many people that when you ask them what their favorite kind of music is they just say "i like a little bit of everything" but they never name any bands. Almost all my favorite bands are ones that HAVE a little bit of everything, & ones that change over time to the point that each album is its own soundscape.

Props on recognizing Wilder's talent. I'm so tired of comments like "dave's voice is so sexy, martin is a great songwriter" etc, they're both really great but alan wilder is the genius that brought electronic music into the mainstream of pop america, and that's why they are in music history books

What an awesome performance video. Not the lip-sync artificiality of a TOTP, and still so close-up, as in a club. Sure, they're using their ubiquitous drum tape, but you can't miss that every guy up there is actually doing something important on their keyboard. Though DM had their musical peak later, their big stadium performances like the Rose Bowl lacked this kind of intimacy, except between Gahan and the crowd.
