Thank you. We held the power button in for 30 seconds after pulling out the plug. We did not have to wait 10 minutes to hit the power button after plugging it in and it worked.. Cudos!
I appreciate the video. I just wish people would get to the point quicker, instead of taking forever explaining what you’re going to do, just do it
Thanks his is exactly what is wrong with my Vizio, I will try this and if it works THANK YOU. If not I will EXPLODEANATE my Vizio TV and up load that video.
I have a vizio e390i-a1 and when I'm watching either antenna TV or dvd the picture is flashing and it has lines through it how do I know that it is the LED driver board or the Main video bored

+Wilmarc Louis Jean Thanks. Please like and subscribe for more videos!
How about reprogramming it? Nice video by the way!
I liked this video. This is exactly whats wrong with my vizio. Can I just replace the main board instead of trying to do this ? I think I would cause more damage trying to fix that little piece.
Yeah
NEXT
Does this work for the 3D models?
Thank God for UA-cam
What is the part no. on this piece?
i allready replace the eprom memorie but how to programmed deeprom memorie
hmm, My problem is that it turns on shows the logo then turns right back off.. Think the eeprom would fix this also? Thanks man
Hi there, there is a chance that the eeprom could be the problem, but there is not guarantee. Sometimes these types of failures with the TV powering off after it has been turned on can be due to a short somewhere in one of the boards, especially the power board and the main board. The eeprom in these sets is not expensive, but you do need some soldering skills in order to replace it. Also how long does the TV stay on before it powers off? Does the power led blinks?
Runforlife Replace the eeprom and now the TV doesn't turn on at all.. The logo lights up but thats it.. Before that it would turn off as fast as you would turn it on.. No led has ever blink that I know of..
Kid Ricky Did you replace with the correct part number? Eprom memories must be pre programmed to work on a specific TV set. Also check the soldering. Also you mentioned that the logo lights up but thats it. Can you describe with more detail the problem?
ok I have a E3DB420VX Vizio 42 inc, tv where do I find the Eprom memory . to many on the board
I have same one. Tv turns on shows logo then go black again
I am having difficulty location the eeprom for the vizio e552vl main board 0171-2272-3924. Does anyone know where I can get it?
+Marshal Pilgreen Have you checked shopjimmy.com ?
+Runforlife I did but no luck. Any other suggestions?
+Marshal Pilgreen You should send them an email. Sometimes one eeprom is used in different main boards for different versions or models. You need to email them. You can also look for it by the number that is printed on the actual eeprom, just make sure is pre programmed.
i connected mine to the internet and the next day it shuts off and keeps shutting off on the logo screen
just bought a D-series. 2 days in, and flashing logo.
My Vizio logo used to come up , and say no signal after. Now there is no Vizio logo the tv is just lit but no pic or sound . Can anyone tell me what’s going on? I tried all trouble shoots still no go.
Well, 3 yrs later, but to any reader looking for a NEW tip: today, while waiting on my replacement of a 2-mo old 58” M Series with power but no pic, for some reason I thought to just try a new $5 power cord, so I attached it and PRESTO, I’ve got a picture. I emailed Vizio to cancel, AND to add this troubleshooting tip to THEIR technicians list.
0:55 It’s Gone
Just buy a replacement main board, may be more expensive, but it is less hazardous.
My vizio tv will not stay on. I push the on button in back and the picture and light flash once then back off. I cannot gind a bideo with similar problem. I just moved snd before i moved it worked fine. It was gently moved. Can anyone help me please?
Cannot find a video with similar problem
My best advice is throw your vizio out the window and never buy one again
mine did the exact same
The advice given here will NOT be true for most Vizio models. When giving information it is crucial that you give the scope within which it is correct. E390-A1, for example, is well known for failing EEPROM, but again, this is NOT the case for most other Vizio models. Just my 2c based on I dare say fairly solid experience.
Coppell TV Repair LLC I have three different Vizio sets that all appear to have a bad eprom, checked the regulators and 100uf kit and I was able to get one set to work temporarily with a heat gun on the eprom.
That ones old
DON'T BUY A VIZIO
Why you here watching Vizio?
Holy shit it’s not that serious
you don't have to buy a new part un plug it from both the outlet and TV hold the power button for 5 seconds and then plug it back into the outlet and then the TV and that fixes it every time for me
Fallen Gaming1865 wow now since the past 3 or 4 days stop coming back on completely froze i tried the other method when it first started 3 months ago by just unplugging it let sit for 30 seconds then replug now that method works not at all wonder will yours help
this is true, it's so god dam annoying though, but it's worth the fix! usually I constantly unplug, plug in and turn on until it gives me my tv back
Thanks Fallen Gamming1865... THIS seems to have worked for me...
Doesnt fix anything here, why unplug it from the tv and outlet, does it still have power when you unplug it from the TV. I guess the double unplug makes sense to non techs.
I am going to look at a friends Vizo TV that won't turn off, did the power cycling fix the problem permanently or do you have to do it every day?
