This comment doesn't apply to this video but I just wanted to thank you for helping me repair my XBR-65X750D, which is just now working! Thru your instructionals, I replaced the power board first (wasn't the problem) and then the main board. But most helpful was your "Sony XBR How to Pairing Procedure - Software Upgrade / Update C-D-E-F Series" vid. I tried using the downloaded pkg update, but after a bunch of power-on and power-off attempts, I changed the name to "upgrade_loader.pkg and it loaded immediately. There's nothing quite like DIY repair on something like a TV, following a very well-made YT instructional. Keep up the great work!

The TNM5000 is discontinued so the only place to buy it is second-hand retailers, and since it's phased out now it is becoming harder to purchase and thus more expensive. If you go to eBay you can find one for $700 (including shipping and taxes). But we think that's a bit expensive especially given that when we bought ours, it was only $300-$350.
We are currently looking into a new device that can do all of the EEPROM, NAND, and eMMC programming all in one while still being affordable. We just made an order for it, and are going to be testing it out soon to make sure it's up to snuff.
Once we do, we will be retailing it on our website and providing instructional videos on it. (unfortunately, the best and most affordable products are all coming from China. The only decent programmers in the US are a minimum of $1,000)

I think we bought ours when they were around $350 or so. I just tried to see if I can buy another to have a spare and they are now going for $1,000. Kind of crazy how the price has gone up since they have been discontinued.

You can but it's rare for those mainboards to have a NAND chip failure. Usually they have other faults.
What symptoms are you experiencing with your unit? Is it also stuck on logo? For your mainboard that can be caused by the CPU. Although I would need to diagnose it to confirm this.

I have Vizio E551i-A2 stuck on the logo and do not see Nand chip on it... Is it different from this one?
One more question - is the board for E650I-A2 interchangeable with E551i-A2? They looks exactly the same and have the same part numbers
The E551i-A2 uses a Nand chip, but it's on the back side of the board for that one.
As for interchangeability, I don't believe that it is but you can give it a try and see.

Yeah I did, I think you had commented that on it as well. I don't know what happened, the audio was all messed up, the footage didn't get uploaded correctly, so I took it down and redid the video.
