Edit: Some part of me is amused by the thought of Sol having a motorbike, Ky a convertible, Dizzy just flying above the ground with Undine and Necro’s hands coming from her wings to drift and Sin getting some MK64-esque pipe frame with his flag flapping in the wind.

About LEGO Racers 2: It's... *interesting.* Some people like it, others don't. The wonky (and sometimes unintentionally humorous) physics, the open-world approach (instead of individual themed tracks), and the different power-up system are all pretty divisive points. Me personally, I'm mixed on it. I don't outright hate it, but I'm not itching to replay it when someone says the name (like I am with the original LEGO Racers, hahahah).
Great work with this, by the way! Thoroughly enjoyed it. :D

Made by Rareware btw. Yeah, Rare made a Mickey Mouse racing game where you go around USA landmarks. Is actually good. Also the enemy racers never stop talking and its hilarious
This and Mickey’s Racing Adventure may be the reason why there were no Mickey Mouse characters in Magical Racing Tour: because Rare was already making racing games with said characters.

If you get Lego Racers 2 and you don't want to go through the hassle of setting up the PC version, the PS2 version is a pretty faithful port of that game.
I feel like 2001 was the time when console ports of Lego games finally lived up to the PC versions, without too much sacrifice.

Pac Man World Rally is one my favourite kart racer and i remember getting motion sickness after playing the funhouse track
Has Black Mage Maverick reviewed ModNation Racers or LittleBigPlanet Kart yet? I was hooked back then on how you could design your own tracks (with a wide selection of prop features to choose from, and some fairly deep gameplay in ModNation Racers' case), and then upload them online for others to race on them. Both games also included their own story modes to help showcase their gameplay.

You know, I picked up My Sims Racing a few months back when I was out looking for old cheap Wii games to buy, and I didn't play much of it. But seeing it in this video, I'm actually tempted to go back and give it a second chance!

As far as I know, Ginormica is the only character most viewers remember from Monsters VS Aliens, and that's just from awakening fetishes rather than anything cool happening in the story.
I mean, the movie was pretty meh and forgettable

M&M racing, possibly one of the worst kart game ever make... But I kinda like the vehicles, meh.

Ooh, the Disney one, yes, I've played that one when I was younger, for years I thought I just sucked at it back then, and kinda recently gave it another go when I stumbled upon it again... To get stuck in the same race like you. Yep, this game's just shit, eh.
Despite not playing it My Sims Racing is the only one of the 6 that I'm actually familiar with, so I hope I give it a chance one day

I had the misfortune of renting m&m kart racing as a kid.
All I remember is that you can unlock a "hovercraft" and the house track was poorly designed.
A game thats a split between a kart racer and an arcade racer is Blur, a power up focused racing game that definitely doesn't get enough attention!

I love racing games! Mkds and mkwii were my gaming origins, so that may be the reason why.
Honestly, liked the many side activities Lego Racers 2 had, as well as items hitting you damaged your kart further and further to where you can have no kart and have to hoof it (your karts can be repaired/brought back mid race). However, once you beat the 1st boss (and later the 2nd), the game becomes trivial, and the game wasn't that hard to begin with. This is because beating the bosses (minus the final) gave you permanent upgrades, ones the other racers do not get. There are only 4, and the 1st one increases your max speed. Not only are the upgrades boring, they're strong. Imagine In Mario Kart every racer had the same stats, except their speed was a light, but yours was heavy, and your grip was still light weight. Even that does not do it justice. In fact... everything about this sequel was basically simpler.
Question which is off course: what was your feelings when Sephiroth was revealed on Smash?

If you think the Wii version of Madagascar karts was bad........ you have been lucky enough not to play the DS version.
I would recommend picking up Lego Racers 2, I grew up with that game and i had a lot of fun collecting all the gold bricks as a kid.
Maybe you can review it if you decide to make a sequel to this video.

Shrek Smash n Crash Racing was one of my favorite DS games, still one of my favorite racing games, and still has one of the best soundtracks in all gaming. No cap.
I was expecting to see more obscure kart racing games at least a few like Mega Man: Battle and Chase, Jak X: Combat Racing, Freaky Flyers, Cartoon Network Racing and Nicktoons Racing, oh well. but good video.

I don't recall having any issues with the controls of the Disney World game. Maybe the PC version was superior in that regard? If I recall correctly, it was hard, but I eventually aced every track.
Lego Racers: Wait, this isn't obscure. "It had an N64 port." Oh, I didn't know that!
Madagascar Kart: Damn it, I wanted to make the obvious pun... And yeah, not sure why they didn't make a Smash Bros-esque crossover like Sega later did with their IPs in the first place.
M&Ms Kart: I have a feeling no one cared when making M&Ms Kart. It gained notoriety as one of the worst games of all time and it's the only reason this is not obscure in my mind.
Pac Man Rally: Again, I am not sure why this wasn't a full-on crossover. But I do know why Pac-Land wasn't remixed here. I do miss it, not gonna lie.
Disneyworld: Who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me? M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E! Sorry, I just had to remind myself of a better song. Anyway, this was some huge wasted potential, possibly more so than any other on this list... ok, Lego Racer has the most wasted potential. Yes, yes, yes, Lego Racer is pretty good, but it was released at the wrong time. If it were released a decade or two later, we coulda had a Batmobile in there. That woulda been badass!
My Sims: I'm not sure what PBG's mindset on playing another MySims game, but I also wonder what his thoughts would be on it.
Granted, I don’t know if it counted, but I wish Excite Bots Racing had been covered. It’s such a fun game that barely anyone ever talks about.

just going to put this here since i'm assuming people watching this like kart racers, try looking up srb2 kart, it's a free kart racer made on the doom engine. also lego racers was a good chunk of my childhood, i remember it being difficult as hell back then too, like you'd have to use the warp speed power up as much as possible to stand a chance... though for some reason i thought you lost white bricks if you swapped power ups.
I love pac-man world rally and mysims racing. Both are underrated especially mickey's speedway usa and shrek smash n' crash racing.

I guess rareware at the time took the mickey mouse gang for mickey's speedway usa and Mickey's racing adventure, so they probably couldn't use them for disney world racing tour. but it does beg the question why couldn't they use the other disney afternoon characters like scrooge, gizmo duck, darkwing, or even a beagle boy like you mentioned, instead of using designs inspired by them? they have chip and dale and even jimmony cricket.
You should check out modnation racers on ps4 or ps3. You can create your own characters, karts and even racetracks. The customization is better than the games you mentioned and you might actually have fun playing it! The online servers closed down tough but local races and story mission are still fun to play.
You should have seen the summaries from The Cutting Room Floor regarding M&M’s Kart Racing. Let’s just say they really tore the game’s hide anew for it.

I still regard Muppet RaceMania as one of the best games ever, but CTR Nitro-Fueled ran over the game by MILES when it comes to, well, everything. Granted, I think Muppet RaceMania still has the best battle mode of any racing game, CTR Nitro-Fueled is the complete package and fixes EVERYTHING that was wrong in already awesome original CTR.
If there really WAS anything wrong in CTR apart from the in-game character models.
@@greatsageclok-roo9013 That was never the problem for me. The problem was that the game lost all the fun after going through the Adventure mode and unlocked everything and Arcade mode kept itself interesting only for 3 cups or so after unlocking all there is to get.

Also the only thing I know about Madagascar Kartz is that there was one gaming show over in the UK that compared that game, to Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing. I'm not joking. Unsurprisingly Sonic won every category.

Why dose the psp get the good stuff? They should make Pac-Man world rally remake on switch. With all characters and tracks to the game. I love to play that dig dug track. Plus they could add new content. Ya know like new tracks and characters and new modes. Come on namco everyone doing remaster on switch.

I actually liked how in Pac-Man World Rally you could unlock some cool items as well. I just wish the GameCube version for the same content as the PSP version. Mappy would’ve been my favorite character 😭

Personally I've played a lot of kart racing games and platformers too along with some RPGs like the Nintendo published ones, Pokemon and Mario RPGS.
I've actually been playing Mysims racing on emulator with a friend for fun over the past couple days. The game absolutely rules, even without my nostalgia for it as a kid. Its nice to hear somebody talk about it from a place of passion, as the game has unfortunately long gone unnoticed.
Some I love that aren't Mario, Crash or Sonic are Little Big Planet Racing, Woody Woodpecker Racing and Konami Krazy Racers.

1: For M&Ms Kart Racing, I have the DS version it’s probably a bit better
2: For Madagascar Kartz I just got it for the wii and I like it so far

M&Ms was already doing bad with Shell Shocked on PS1, a sort of terrible Crash clone from 2004... they just can't have a good game it seems.
My first videogame i ever played was a racing game for the PS1, Smurf Racer aka 3,2,1, Smurf! released in 2000ish...
This racing game has a decent character roaster ( altough, all smurfs ), the racetracks are all memorable ( and the soundtrack is amazing ), but the lack of unique character stats or drifting makes it a bit boring over time, especially with just 4 racers at once. It was marketed towards very young children so at least it works for them. There's only two offensive items, one defensive item and rocket boosts placed here and there, so while it may be simple, it's not unbalanced. Handling of the kart is at least responsive enough to almost never hit a wall or fall down.
Maybe you should give it a try, if perhaps you're looking into making a part 2 with other requested games from the comments.
Hey Mavy good news Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time has just been announced. And most gamers including me are already sold. Now plot-wise It's About Time is considered the canonical sequel to Warped with developers on the upcoming Crash Bandicoot title revealing that Wrath of Cortex, Twinsanity, Crash of The Titans, and Mind Over Mutant are now officially considered to be a separate timeline/universe. With the official base plot-synopsis being and this base plot-synopsis is based off of from what was shown in the reveal trailer basically it's several years have past since the team of lovable teenage bandicoot Crash, his super-intelligent little sister Coco, Coco's adopted pet Bengal Tiger cub Pura, and living mask mentor/guardian Aku Aku have trapped Dr. Neo Cortex, N-Tropy, N-Gin, Tiny Tiger, and Dingodile in the past and turned them into babies during the climax of Warped, but now the team of villains have returned in their adult bodies, with Cortex stating that they've used the years to their advantage as it's given them time to set in motion a plan to take revenge on our team of heroes, and have launched a revenge scheme that places time and space in danger, however Crash, and Coco will be aided by new allies in the form of the Quantum Masks mysterious living masks who are good friends with Aku Aku and grant whoever wears them powers related to time and space. And so far two Quantum Masks have been revealed gameplay wise with their powers being gravity manipulation, and the ability to slow down time. And it was confirmed that Coco will be playable from the start with the ability to switch between them in the hub area being unlocked right away. However Coco's moveset will be the "Crash Clone" moveset she had in Crash Bandicoot: N'Sane Trilogy.
So, just out of curiosity, why do you hate It's a Small World?
I can't stand Lego Racers 2. The controls are very inferior to the original, shortcuts are lame and uncreative, you can slide out of control, the weapon system is now just generic Mario Kart roulette, building cars is way worse as you have a limit to how many bricks to put on your car and you can't take off the bricks if you put one down in a spot you didn't want to, some of the tracks are way too long (especially the Dino Island ones), there's this stupid checkpoint system in the races, the tracks themselves are made too wide open which makes it hard to tell where your supposed to go and Sam Sinister AKA Baron Von Baron is stupidly hard for the first real boss of the game to the extent you have to play these bonus out of the way optional mini games to win upgrades for your car so it becomes fast enough to even keep up with him otherwise he'll just leave you in the dust unless you get lucky and can destroy his car quickly and early and don't mess up by crashing into stuff or falling off the track. Why do I have to go and play off to the side mini games just so I can get a chance to beat a boss? Stupid idea for game design! After you beat Sam/Baron who gives you even more upgrade to your car's speed the rest of the game is easy because your so much faster then the other cars. Oh and Rocket Racer is anti climactic, piss easy and a disappointing final boss. Not even close to being challenging in the original.
To this day I still don't get why the hell my parents bought M&M's Kart Racing, and I think even as a kid I knew this game was absolute garbage shovelware, I still own it...but I plan on getting rid of it so I never have to see it again in my life
