My wife and I traveled to Scotland for a Study Away. We were there for a month and hiked 350 miles. It was one of the most memorable moments of my life! I cannot wait to return.

Where can we go to sign up for the free tours? We are also planning on staying at that hostel! Is everything easy to find (or do you use a gps). I've never been out of the country so I'm worried about getting from point a to point b!

You can sign up for the free city tours online (we went with the free city tour operated by Sandeman, and the free ghost tour through freeghosttour.com/), but it is not compulsary. You can also just show up at the time and place they mention :) Definitely stay at Castle Rock Backpackers - it is literally the best hostel I've ever stayed in! The best of Edinburgh by far. We used google maps every now and then, but to be fair the old city isn't that big so it's hard to get lost. Especially after those city tours you'll get the hang of the city quite quickly! Lizzie Cheng No such thing as too cold - bring a suitable coat and shoes, and enjoy the weather! You're just as likely to get snow in March as in January.
I just came across this video, and seeing the Highlands footage has made me even more excited for my trip there this summer!! My family and I will be there for a week, and staying in one of the cottages at Eilean Donan Castle. Do you have any recommendations of places to see while in that area that may not have been in this video?
