- The Isle of Skye has to be the most magical place I've ever been. I returned from an epic 6 day journey visiting some of the most iconic locations in Scotland's beautiful highlands.

Some recommendations when visiting the isle of Skye. Be prepared for bugs, that was the worst part about being there. I got swarmed by tiny biting gnats that were extremely annoying. I also got a tick so definitely bring some bug spray. Also driving on the left hand side of the road is tough and the roads in Scotland are often one lane so get ready for some fun! :)

Scotland is one of the most beautiful country's in the world and the people are nice and down to earth I've been to Scotland 9 times and I will definitely be going back Thanks for the video

Wonderful shots and great memories! In 2016 my wife and I did the Skye trail - a great multi-day trek that passes some of those places. Just lovely!

Great video, Skye is awesome! The beasties that protect the Fairy Pools are midges, National Bird of Scotland. Lots more to see but you hit the big ones. Check out Neist Point some day.
Midges are a nuisance. Won't entertain Scotland in summer at all, midges are rife in summer. The national bird of Scotland is an Eagle.

It's really nice seeing a young tourist enjoying our country. We often ( not always) take it for granted here. I suppose people do that everywhere.
Other thing that's happened over covid is many more Scots exploring their own country . My daughter is just back from camping in skye.

The negative comments from some of my fellow countryfolk are embarrassing, especially the ones that can't offer a tiny morsel of a complement Many a Scot struggles with the Gaelic place names and you clearly meantioned that you passed Glenfinnan Viaduct on the way to Skye and that it wasn't in Skye. Haste ye back. ✈

We went to Scotland 2 years ago for a 10 days' trip. And only 1 day on Skye. I would like to go back to visit Skye and stay more. Dunvegan is the birthplace of my family. I felt my roots. I love Scotland.

@@RyanShirley No favorite places because the trip was to fast. But, the wild landscapes, the wonderful views on Isle of Skye and Mull have left me with unforgettable images. That is why I would like to come back....and stay more
Also the boat trip to the Island of Staffa, and in that Island inside it is Fingals Cave complete with basalt columns

I absolutely loved Skye! Unfortunately it was very rainy when we were there and the fair pools were flooded. We were still able to do everything else though.

Gorgeous shots! You were so fortunate to have such beautiful weather when you did the Old Man of Storr hikes! We stayed on the Isle of Skye for 6 days and it was rainy and windy almost the whole time. Finally did the hike in wind and light rain before leaving.

I have been on the train across the viaduct, its well worth the trip, such a beautiful place.

@@RyanShirley its a train trip from Fort William to Mallaig, called the Western Highland Way, supposed to be one of the best train trips in the world, stunning views. We caught the diesel train which was about £20pp, but they also do a trip using an old steam train, which costs slightly more.

We walked up to the Old Man of Storr last year. Couldn't see until we could touch it, rain, wind and mist but well worth the effort.
The conditions can be crazy there! I use a mavic air! Where are you from?

I equally loved the Brother’s Point. We visited Oct 19. Unfortunately couldn’t hike old man of Storr as we were with a toddler, and it would often rain. Your drone shots of the place are gorgeous

West coast of Scotland.. Beautiful medievil landscapes. You didn't really get any in there but even more beautiful if you can get some of the fabulous Castles in shot - Get the drone back flying 😉

@@RyanShirley Northen England.. One hours drive and then I'm in Scotland over the Border at Carlise. Wales is quite stunning in places too.
You should do the NC500 Scottish road trip too - 500 miles from Inverness that takes in Glen Coe, West coast around Skye and further north before coming back down to Inverness ✌

very well done video and helpful information!! one question.. how do you get that massive motion blur on your drone shots?! is it in post oder do you film with longer shutter speed?
Daniel Kogler what’s up Daniel! I put all the shots on a timeline and I speed them up to 200 percent change it from frame sampling to frame blending mode. Then I’ll export it and if I want to speed up a particular shot I’ll speed it up again. My computer just can’t handle speeding things up to like %1000 percent 😂
The Scottish bits of me feel the attraction of these places.
