VEGAN PESTO OIL-FREE - ARUGULA AND BASIL (WFPB RECIPES)

- In today's video, you'll learn how to prepare a tasty vegan green pesto - without any oil. It's a perfect addition for your next bowl of pasta, on top of a salad, or even as a bread spread. This is a wfpb recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 pack arugula
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 1 bunch of fresh basil
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt
- Pepper
- Water
Instructions
1. Roast the sunflower seeds in a pan without oil for around 5 minutes or toast in the oven at 180 °C (350 °F) for 12 minutes.
2. Add all the ingredients to a blender, blend well.
3. Add as much water as needed to reach your desired consistency.

I like pesto
and have until now
been using store bought
oil based pesto
to use on gnocchi
and baked potatoes
but this is a winner for me.

Sounds good. Would like to know how many ounces (before rinsing) of the greens.
Do you soak the sunflower seeds first?
Also, you have parsley listed in the ingredient list below, but you did not put parsley in it in the video. And you added the nutritional yeast and soy sauce in video but did not list them in the ingredient list.
