I've heard some people say that Dale was like Michael Jackson: the only reason people respect him now is because he's dead. That's not true. Dale Earnhardt made NASCAR fun to watch for his time. If you wanted a show, he'd be the first man to give you one. Nowadays, in NASCAR, nobody's there to do that like he did anymore.
My 3 kids and i watched that last race. My daughter was a nurse and still alive herself in her 20's. She told us all that the ambulance was going too slow. He had to have passed... She also did a few years later. My youngest son stayed in his room and cried for 3 days. Im not so into it anymore also. No replacing the excitement when he was on the track!!!
@@cindywilliams5244 I'm worried that by your phrasing that your daughter died far too young. I hope that's just inadvertent phrasing and that's not actually the case.
Dale gave the world, not just NASCAR wonderful gifts. His determination to succeed as a racer was equally matched by his caring heart. He will always be remembered.
He turned his back on Kerry Earnhardt, he didn't meet him untill Kerry was 16 years old. Guys it don't matter how you slice it. That's abandonment and a dead beat Dad. You can't excuse it just because someone is a dead hero.
A man's imperfections aren't what decide whether or not he is a hero. No man is perfect. It's what the man does despite those imperfections. Dale never claimed to be a great man, but he was one of the greatest drivers Nascar ever saw and likely will ever see again. There are 7 Nascar championship cups with his name on them that make that an undeniable fact.
Dale was amazing and real!!!! As real as you can get!!!! I will never forget him!!!! He was like my family!!!! Rest in peace Sir!!! You are still just so very much missed by us all who loved you!!!! Thank you for everything!!!!
He was a real American and and real man, he was great i remember watching the race that killed him and how it was through my family and people i knew he was just a great person i don't think they make them like that anymore
I always loved seeing Dale Earnhardt race. He loved what he did & he did love winning. If he was down any laps if his car was right he'd go the front every time in amazing time. Dale you're my hero of all time. I miss you & since you passed away in 2001 racing is not the same. Miss you Dale.
This man embodied confidence and determination in the way he raced. Was and always will be my favorite driver. Rest in Peace Dale. P.S. Remember everyone, whenever you do anything in life, always #DoitforDale
