@ 32:37 right at the top of the screwdriver handle there is a hole. The seat flips up and the hole is there so you can put a screwdriver through to adjust idle. When I was young I mounted and balanced thousands of tires. Sometimes you would get one that would wobble bad. If the wobble is bad enough you see it just like that one. Put a chalk make on the tire lined up with the valve stem. Let the air out of the tire and break the bead. Spin the tire 180 degrees on the rim so the chalk mark is opposite the valve stem. Air it back up. Cheap tires can seat funky sometimes due to uhmmmmm China. You can balance tires at home very easily as well.

I don’t know about everyone else…but I got the 2023 gen5 150cc and I’ve had ZERO problems with it.
I got my Maddog Icebear trike and it has been nothing but problems from day 1 & still having issues… Bent axle bolt, bent rear axle mount, chipped paint, missing parts, stripped bolts, missing pegs, tires wobble BAD front & both rears even after balance, Speedo issues, and many more. NO QC at all, I swear it’s like I got scammed unfortunately
Change that Chinese oil out right away then again at 300km that’s 187 miles for proper break in mine did great doing that
Damn. I expect a bit of tightening bolts and stuff but I just wish there was a way to have $1200-$1500 street legal transpo that you don’t have to do THIS to

I have a gen one, 150cc , the bolts that hold the motor, I put bike pegs on those, I have a 14 year old daughter that loves riding on it with me..
I use valveline 10w40 4stroke engine oil the gear lube
I have one ice bear trike best qmj scooter I've had.
hope you put oil and gear oil in it cuz the oil they put in is mineral oil and if you run it with it it can seize up
so i take it the headlights dont turn on unless the scooter is running?
I got the same one and now it won’t start I tried to kickstart but not working they always come mess up you have to put your own stuff so it could work like you want it mines is sitting because I have to get a spark plug Walt number spark plug do it take need to no and where can I get one at

Dude i bought one a little over a month ago and the quality control really is FUUUCKED UP, AND I HAVE THE 150CC MADDOG
Came home early from work today for the delivery, from drop off to engine start only took 1.5 hrs. Low idle is the only thing i noticed off except that i had to adjust the handle bars cuz i slightly bent the key went i made a right turn. Will play around with it tomorrow after work and see if i notice any other issues.

They are junk we got 2 of these in July of 22 new from a dealer a white one and black one . As long as we had them 3 month they were nothing but junk . Always very hard starting . Both needed new back wheels from them bouncing from the get go . One of them after riding for awhile the front brakes would heat up and stop turning . One had a broken speedo , it was fixed twice One had a of and on skipping problem , we owned them 3 months had one towed twice , the dealer ended up . They always started real hard and always needed new spark plugs the dealer always had them for repair . The seats would always creek very noisy and both had non working gas gauges . TOTALLY stay away from these they look cool but are very cheaply made . Everything you found wrong with this one is what we has issues with ours . Plus the edges of the mufflers were real sharp and got a real bad cut on one . The black one always had to be kick started while you were turning it over on the starter to make it fire , like it needed to be turned over faster . It was on its second battery . We have had less then 500 miles on the and they are not worth it . The dealer is selling them for us right now trying to get rid of them

Pretty much all the new motorcycles that come with two headlights. One has a small running light. But the one looks out. But it’s not. That’s just the high beam. Every one thinks the same. But it’s nkrmal

You're acting like I just figured all this stuff out like I'm part of some kind of weird learning curve or something lol I build full size motorcycles for a living this is just a tiny little GY6 scooter with a 139qmb engine on it from China. I'm just putting this together for a friend and then gave it back to him it's not even my scooter I was just helping him put it together and get it started.

John unfortunately at this point I don't tell anyone to purchase the Bebop because parent doesn't support it anymore and the parts are getting very expensive to find and anybody that has them is not letting them go you may as well just not purchase the Drone brother

Does the engine need to be running in order for the headlights to go on?

I bought one last year but it was the first gen. I've had nothing but issues with mine too. Not even a year old and I'm only getting 120 compression. Stator is bad, speedometer stopped working almost immediately. Bummer
I keep trying to tell people to avoid these things man but they just want to think they're driving around a ruckus

what oil and gear oil should i use to change? i got 2021 GEN 1 maddog plus when i start it , the bike is going high rev and low speed up to 15 to 20 mph
Sae 80/90 gear, Valvoline 4-stroke motorcycle oil 10w40 engine oil synthetic or semi synthetic. Remember when doing your oil change that it only takes 3/4 of a quart of oil
The 50cc version is just not very fast I think this top speed we've gotten was like 25 mph for whatever reason the 50cc version is just as slow as dirt. You can remove three of the rollers to get a higher RPM band if you want to out of the variator you may gain a little top speed but it will work the engine pretty hard
Okay lets be for real most people buy this version because they want to save some money or don't want to start with the 50cc Ruckus, maybe DIY just ain't the way for them. With the cost for the Ruckus Plus the Makeover comes to quite a pretty penny; As someone else commented you do have the option have it Setup before shipping, for an extra charge. I liked Your video because You got the job done!! Just remember in some deals Buyer Beware and if it turns out we can't Replace or Refund, It's Good To Have A Bud Like You on their side to help with the build.

Does the 150cc of this model require a class m1 license to drive on the road or just a valid license
In most states anything over 50cc requires a m1 license, check your local laws. A simple Google search.

I love the Ruckus looks and the possibility of winter riding in Quebec but it is illegal here. If as you say the quality control is nad then I guess it should be illegal-the Maddog trike is illegal.
And the reality is it is China's version of a direct copy of the Honda Ruckus so to answer you correctly the answer is yes it should be illegal but nobody has ever been able to control what China does when it comes to stealing of technology and reverse engineering things and producing them for cheaper than the original manufacturer
@@IFixShet Seen a few more reviews and the lights and gas gauge are a common issue. Still I can't help but love it's Ruckus looks-looks cab be decieving.
That rear tire belongs on a piece of agricultural equipment. Look at the shoulders on that tire. It wants to go in a straight line. Many of the better electric scooter tires have rounded shoulders
like a motorcycle. Much more conducive to better handling.
i get the parts and get a 232cc motor and work with it i really just want the body of the ruckus i would make the whole thing myself

I have a 150cc of one of these, I get asked questions about it so often I get tired of answering sometimes , turns heads everywhere I go, I'd recommend one, I put pegs on mine for a passenger, but it's an uncomfortable ride to put a girl on it, that's the main downside of this bike, can't put a girl on it comfortably

Just take all the screws off around the head unit and the battery slides right in

I will say it's a pain in the butt to assemble it's really up to you and how much time you want to spend getting it all set up primed getting the engine going all that kind of stuff you have to ask yourself what your time is worth

Man 😂I have a 2014 ice bear green dropped to the tits and she got 5000 miles she pops like crazy and truthfully other then the starter I have no complaints 😅
Some of you guys get really lucky off the assembly line a lot of people do not have that same luck
Mine just got here 3 days ago I got it started once but I can't get it to start again my step dad thinks it cld be the battery but the brake lights come on so could it still be the battery?

Too bad you didn't pay attention and actually read that it's a maddog scooter so Honda ruckus clone. It's not a true Honda ruckus. But those vacuum fuel pumps are garbage. I bought an electric fuel pump to fix the fuel pump issue.

How did you manage to get the fuel pump started?
Prime the scooter with starter fluid once the scooter starts it will start pulling fuel Because it's a compression based Fuel system or a pet cock driven which is vacuum drive. Don't forget to drop me alike and subscribe that's why I make these videos and answer questions to help it's your way of giving back to me
I ended up getting it started but now it’s not staying started

this is the 1st gen maddog , too many provlems stick to the gen 4 or 5
Do the Gen 4 and Gen 5 models have less problems? I'm thinking about buying the Gen 4 model.
@@chris135x They are better but you should def do a carb upgrade and the headlight seems to dim depending on the throttle. apart from that no problems with my Gen 5.

Too much for too little. Maybe not this model type but with 1500 you can ride assembled & spanking new , in any of the many Scooter Shops in Miami. Any gliches & you know where to go. Shit just thrown in a box, just aint right.

Chinese crap-o-la.why spend this kind of money to have shorted parts, immediately have to repair a throttle cable, have included parts that don't fit or work properly and then says it has been through quality control.
Lastly to find out that the rear rim is out of round and a replacement if they don't just send you another piece of crap rim, will cost you another $300. Wow, buy a Honda Ruckus, a fat wheel &and Tire, a rear frame stretch, and a new brake cable and it will avoid all the headaches and last 10 years or more.
Lol well don’t get me wrong all the Chinese GY6 scooters are crap I have a Taotao scooter but if you buy aftermarket parts you can make it into something I’m the second owner and I believe that if you put quality parts in his bikes they’re better than the Japanese bikes well the Taotao scooters is I don’t know about the ruckus is they seem like a real waste of money ruckus is but of course these Chinese bikes are going to be crap at first you’re spinning only 1000 and if you’re buying them on craigslist or Facebook marketing you’re only spending 400 or 200 the fraction of what the original owner bought for it and you only paying that much money for it upfront to pay off the workers and the people that are shipping it to you but I believe they’re worth the money if you pay it from the original owner because you’re only spending $200 on it I’d rather buy them used in brain speaking do if you ask me
And because it saves you the headache and even though your bike might still fall apart every now and then once you get it from the original owner you only have to do simple repairs and replacing a lot of parts for quality parts not like something like with this guy had to went through 😂 lol
