Ooooo girl you put those Guys to shame and inspired me to do mine myself😅 where I am it’s how cost me minimum £200 per room just to lay the vinyl and am like hell noo 🤣🤣🤣 thank you beautiful ur amazing 💝🙏🏽🙌🏽
Thank you!!! And best of luck on your project
Super encouraging! Gonna get my bathroom flooring project done. Thanks
She did what she had to do and left no crumbs!
Using a grooved trowel to spread the glue it will help it dry faster. I have seen glued floors never dry because it doesn't have the grooves in the glue from the trowel. Good video!!
I am in the process of going to "UA-cam University" for installing vinyl flooring and your video was super helpful! Hopefully my bathroom upgrade will make the grade :D
UA-cam University literally allowed me to update my kitchen solo and gave better than expected results with no labor cost. Also just me but I can't trust contractors, they're just so shady nowadays.
Thanks for this most basic and needed tutorial from a handyperson in self-training. I had a hard time finding just a basic thing on sheet flooring like this for some reason.
Absolutely! I really hope this helped! And thanks for watching
Best of luck with all your DIY projects
THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH FOR THIS! You made this look so simple and tips we're super helpful! I can jot wait to tackle this project!
Yay!!!! Best of luck babes you got this!
Ok great job Girl! But I've watched at least 10 videos and No one shows tge tools needed or how u go around rounded edges and stand outs!!
I have OCD which sicks doing flooring 😆. Please help
Thank you very much for the video. It definitely helped take the anxiety out of laying my own vinyl.
Probably should have removed the moldings first then installed to hide edge imperfections
Thank you for the tutorial! I am heading to Lowe’s as soon as they open!
You are precious! I'm laying sheet vinyl today and I learned a few things from you. Thanks. P S. Knee pads are key, huh?
The linoleum I buy in Jamaica here is sold by the yard. It looks nothing like the one you are using.
My go to video for diy vinyl sheet installation. Thanks for sharing.
So pretty and very handy. Well done.
Do you wait 30 minutes for the glue to dry?
Hi! Can you tell me how much you paid for the sheet vinyl? Everything I look up gives me the sq ft price.. I just need the average price for a room
the best way to calculate how much is to multiple the price per sq ft by the actual sq ft of the room. My client purchased the material on her own so i couldnt tell you how much she paid for this roll.
Yesss Mam! Looks great! ❤❤
Thanks so much for making this video on installing vynyl sheet flooring. You are a wonderful help. I feel confident about this now, and really appreciate your work. God bless you!
Thank you!!! Im soooo happy to hear the video helped! Best of luck on this and your next projects
Thank you for this "to the point" video ... I love it. I am doing my master bedroom in a few days and your video helped alot. Quick question though, is there a wait time before placing the furniture back, or does the glue adhere pretty quick?
Thank you for watching and sorry i missed your comment. I definitely recommend waiting 24 hrs so that the vinyl dont move or slip
Loved it. I have more confidence in starting this project.
I wish I had watched this video a few hours ago, BEFORE I put my flooring down LOL. We were doing a simple room, rectangle 9 x5 foot. we cut correctly and everything but elected to go from the far side of the wash room to the entryway. Instead of laying half of the floor the long way and then the other half after. soooo. I didn't have the 1/16 U shape trowel, we had the 3/32nds Square. we put down way too much adhesive and now we have this nightmare of having to roll this out, the glue is squeezing up on the edge's. Knees and back are killing us and it's past 3 am. LOL washer and dryer are being delivered TODAY! YIKES. we have it pretty well flat now but WOW a lot of un necessary work and waste, it looks good unless you turn off the lights and put a flash light on the floor. OOPS. I am hoping it flattens a little more as it goes. IDNW I did not check for instructions 1st lol. It seemed so easy, I have even done this before years and years ago but I just didn't think about it. Ima go back up there and see if I can squeegee it short ways from the middle to the sides a little better. UUUUGH! Thanks.
Lady great job! Go you. I love that you tackled this project, I’m about to coerce my husband into doing ours too, with or without him 👏🏼👏🏼
I am adding sheet vinyl over pink floor tile (1950s house). Theres also a tile baseboard all the way around the bathroom so theres no wall space to nail wood base or shoe to. Any ideas on how to edge vinyl sheet in that situation? Thanks
Good Job 👍🏽
New Subbie
Yezzzz!!!!
This was AWESOME 👏🏾. And you did it by yourself.
💪🏾💪🏾
😊
Thank you!! I desperately want new flooring in my kitchen but you definitely gave me the confidence to try it on my own!!
Glad I ran across your channel. This is exactly what I needed. You made it look easy!
Pot plants look great
Great video! Please let me know How much did that cost and where'd you get it from?
You make it look so easy! Trying this out today, we ran into a snag, once we pulled up the old flooring the concrete came with it So once we fix that hopefully we can watch your video five hundred more times and get it done!
Good job Dani, easy work! Keep it up!
Can you please tell me the name of adhesive, which you was using. Which one is best
You should've called me I would've helped lol I guess I need a friend 😁
This is the best sheet vinyl video I've seen, and I watched lots them, oh well, time to get to work!
Hello..great video..I didn’t see you use underlayment as I saw some videos did..is underpayment necessary for vinyl sheet flooring? What is it for? I’m installing vinyl sheet flooring in my kids bedroom.
hello and thank you, underlayment is not necessary for sheet vinyl if you have a wood subfloor, however it is recommended that you use underlayment if you have a concrete subfloor
😳😳 I'm super shocked great job!! I'm an ex drywall contractor...in my older age due to dese old knees I'm not able to.do as much as i did in my younger years.🤣🤣 anywho I still do some jobs for ppl I know Gods great!! Anywho I did the drywall and painting on several jobs as of late but never done vinyl floors..had a good idea how...but wanted to see others do it to get a better idea..I'll be using glue to put under the vinyl and quater round as a finisher around the edges..maam great job!!! I'll follow you!! And if theres a tip jar I'll send something to let you know I appreciate your time!! Blessings from Georgia...
Ooohh im loving all the love your showing me! And no i dont have a tip jar yet but thanks for planting the idea in my mind! Stay around ive got more videos coming!!! 💜
Hi Dani, Very nice video. We just had a vinyl sheet flooring done in our laundry room which was damaged by water leak. The old vinyl sheet was removed by Mitigation company. Underlay floor was so rugged and a lot of hard dried glue. Installer install the vinyl without taking those dried materials even though I insisted to smooth it out. He installed it and in 30 mins he was done. W/D moved in right away even with my resistance that floor is wet. He left. 2 hours later Humps and depressions all over. He came 2 days later and wanted to rip the vinyl and put a new one. I told floor is rugged and you should prepare the floor well and apply a leveler
and wait till next day. He said he have to do it right away so he can finish the job. I did not let him do it.
My questions, is a leveler necessary and smooth out the underlay first? Can we just replace the parts that are visible not even under the machines?
In my opinion doing the whole surface is professional, only spot fixing the issue is cosmetic. Even with the hard glue underneath applying a heat gun would loosen it up and allow you to scrap the surface which the contractor should have known to do. I wouldn’t pay a contractor to do a half job like that
You make it look so easy. Giving me confidence to do my whole house. ❤
Nice video!!! helped me a lot, btw, what is your glue name? can I purchase it from homedepot??
Its Roberts 2310 and that’s exactly where I purchased mine from
Should have cut that pc. 3" longer so you could cut off the part damaged by the transition strip you removed.
Thanks for the tip
Very informative.....Thanks
Thank you . I feel more confident about installing my sheet vinyl flooring.
You can do it!
I'm late..but good job!
Great video. My question is I will be installing sheet vinyl flooring but there is a low spot in the center of the floor what floor leveling compound would you recommend to even out the floor. The present floor has to layers of sheet vinyl down. Thank You
with a low spot you will have to remove the two layers and get down to the subfloor . There is a self leveling mix you can purchase to address that low spot before installing the new vinyl
Very helpful. Thanks for sharing
New to your channel but it was just what I needed I have been working on redoing a bedroom pulled the carpet out and the subfloor was peed on so I’ve sealed it and now I’m trying to decide what to do thank you I think I can do that myself
awesome Cheryl! So glad to hear you have the confidence to take on your project. I will almost ALWAYS recommend Luxury Vinyl Plank (vs rolled vinyl that i installed here) but it all depends on your budget. Durability and long lasting I would go with LVP!
Yassss! I’m so inspired
Oh my goodness I love your dog ❤
Thank you ☺️ 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
How many mm thick do you recommend?
Nice. And. Clean. Yes.
Thank you ….😊
Thank you 🙏 ❤
Awesome, direct, informative.
I LOVE IT I HAVE ALWAYS TOLD PEOPLE YOU CAN DO ANYTHING JUST DON'T BE SCARED OF PICKING UP THE TOOL EEY

Maam your channel your rules but add a tip 🤑 jar so some who have a heart can show appreciation...but that's up to you again great job!! I jumped the gun you used glue..🤦♂️

And im here to teach!!!! Everything i Know! Thanks for subbing , new content coming this weekend
@@danidiydit1 yay can't wait 💙
Can I use adhesives on concrete??
Is the roll vinyl flooring slippery when wet?
umm, i would say not more than any other surface when wet.
U did that sis💕I’m so motivated to try my bathroom floors now. Thanks again for sharing your time with us
Its ALWAYS a pleasure. Anytime i can inspire at least one woman to try things on her own i feel a win! Thank you love
Your video was super helpful. I'm halfway through a two room installation. We ended up with a lot of glue getting pushed out the sides once we were done. Should I use less glue at the edges than the rest of the floor? I know it's important to keep it down at the edges but this is the type of vinyl that lays really flat and there will be cove base at the edges.
Hey there Erin! Thanks for watching . Yes sounds like you’re using alot in the middle which is pushing the adhesive out past the edges. I would concentrate on using less adhesive in the middle and using a consistent amount throughout. Most times we install quarter round molding to finish off the look so if that is your case as well then yes less around the edge would be ok because it would be secured by the QR
great job
Great video and just the facts! Thank you so much!
My pleasure!!
Good stuff
Good attention to detail in alignment!
Girl! You are so real! I love it! Thinking about doing my own. Thanks for this.
My pleasure!! Thank you for watching
I see those girls growing out back 🤫
Which girls?
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am going to tackle doing my own. Again, thank you !
My pleasure! Im sure you will do great
This was a great help to putting in my vainly floor in my shipping container am using for my sewing shop.
Awesome! I love to hear things like this!
Super Helpful video, I have a question I have some already installed in my bathroom but the edges by the wall are coming up. Can you tell me how to fix that and what i would need to get?
So you can just purchase the adhesive in the video, pull back the edges and reglue them down , you can also lay brand new vinyl right on top if you wanted too
@@danidiydit1 we just pulled up peel and stick vinyl from our kitchen and between that and the vinyl underneath there was quite a bit of moisture. So I'm wondering if laying vinyl over vinyl is really a good idea? Thank you.
@@karenbowman4736 moisture is NEVER good. At this point i would suggest pulling up ALL OF THE VINYL , you’ll need to allow the wooden subfloor to dry completely, ( if it hasnt rotted out) . If you have a concrete subfloor then allow to dry , you can test to see if moisture is still present by taping off a small square with plastic and the next day see if its moist. You absolutely dont want to lay any type of floor down on top of moisture
Awesome 🎉☺️👍🏽
I may have missed it in the video but where did you get the vinyl sheet?
It can be purchased at any flooring store or big box hardware store. My client purchased this particular sheet vinyl themselves i just installed it
Thanks for the video. I got a small room to do and glad to know I don't have to rent a roller to get it to adhere.
Exactly! All the extra tools are “cool” but not always needed! Best of luck with your project
Nice video ...but I would have liked to see a closer view on the baseboards edges Just to get a better Idea
It's funny because I'm going to install that same vinyl in my basement room this weekend.
Noted! I will be sure to be more mindful of those kind of details
Nice job and video. Thanks. I've watched several of these videos and haven't seen anyone use a primer/ sealer on the plywood/ underlayment. Is it not needed? Any reason a paint roller can't be used to put the adhesive down?
The viscosity of the adhesive would make it nearly impossible to spread using a paint roller.
Thanks Dani. Found that out as soon as I opened the bucket. Though I used a 1/16” trowel, some spots still felt a little “lumpy” with my hands, though I rolled the stuffing out of it. Think a little too much adhesive in spots. Not noticeable by eye or in sock feet.
They also have floor rollers, like paint rollers but made just to flatten the adhesive. But like you said if its not noticeable I wouldn’t worry about it!
Can put it over carpet with a special adhesive?
Absolutely not! There is no flooring that can be installed over carpet, not even more carpet
Right on! Very helpful.
Awesome ! Glad i could help
I love how you took your time and didn't rush or seem anxious. You did a very nice job!
Thanks
Fiii🔥🔥🔥🔥
Super helpful sis appreciate the tips!! Great work
Thank you!!!!! Super glad you watched the video
Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Queen 👑
Can this be installed over tiles?
Thanks for watching. Some additional work would need to be done like filling in the grout lines of the tile before installing so that you have a very even surface underneath.
i didn't use glue
?
Right on time for me. Thanks Sis 💪🏽
My pleasure glad it helped
Great video!
Thanks Phil
You did a beautiful job
Thank you so much Marie
Thank you!
