Rage Against the Musician ("Trumpet Fight")

- I turned the 'Trumpet Fight' video into a Rage Against the Machine song.
For those who aren't familiar with these types of videos, basically I decipher the subject's speech patterns and vocal pitch, and record a song around it, without altering the original source.
Sometimes I use my guitar to match their pitch. In this case, I emphasize rhythm a little more, letting the subject act more as a "rap/rock singer" and creating guitar riffs in the style of Tom Morello to make it sound like a Rage Against the Machine song. Or is it Rage Against the Musician?

You can literally hear this guy's parents speaking through him.
All i hear is "oye vey"
Guy?
@@kepler16bdefinitely a guy, in short form.
To be fair, the guy has good rhythm to his speech.
Society. Not his parents. Get it right. He is a mirror of what he experienced.
Never mess with someone who's trained both classically and contemporaneously... at the same time.
... the consequences being ... showtunes in a neverending stream.
Especially since they claim to have gone to NYU "film school" AND the "Academy of the University of San Francisco" - probably simultaneously.
I'd say that school cost him an arm and a leg, but apparently he paid with his torso.@@junibug6790
Which instrument did he major in? Jew's harp?
Damn I laughed harder than I have in a long long time. 😂
An artist respects the silence that serves as the foundation of creativity
merp
the guy has a way with words man, not kidding. It's like prose, has rhythm and no filler words at all.
I loved that phrase lol
It's very cool 😅@@brabrabarabra5027
It’s true. Dude’s a poet - an extremely frustrated poet.
"Can't even carry a fucking note" is a pretty good burn.
0:37 - "Sucka" is such a DeLa Rocha thing to say
😂😂
Bro you’re so right😂
I almost burst out laughing on the train at that part, haha
with the #9 hendrix chord hit, perfect
That's just an very old & ordinary everyday russian street dialogue word, meaning "bitch"! )))
Love the amalgamation of the Rage songs but it’s the “Sucka” that makes it authentic
I had the same thought lol it was perfect
Absolutely LOL
this video was meant to happen
And the "who the fuck are you?!?!?"
You suck!!

This will be top comment over time.
Underrated Asfffffffff!
“An artist respects the silence that serves as the foundation of creativity.” ... I can’t tell if that’s profound or just words.
Taken out of context, pretty profound, I’d say.
I'm voting profound
If I wrote an essay with a bunch of horse shit and one profound sentence slapped in the middle, my professor wouldn't call it profound, he'd call it horse shit. This pathetic loser is no different.
Considering this was a holocaust museum and the dude was playing a racist song...
@@RazorsharpLT never heard that part of the story. Source?
Dude's a musician alright, insults while keeping time.
For real, that's the most impressive part.
Other than where he stores all his organs of course 😐
Not sure that's a dude
@@ruffryder13 Yes, it's a dude. Has some form of dwarfism, perhaps. Definitely shorter than average, mostly due to his torso. Smaller resonating chambers for his voice caused by the short torso can leave a man sounding a bit more high-tenor.
It's actually spooky how in time he is.
he got rhythm alright *edit: he's an insecure asshole
1:21 - Their time-keeping with the "You're nothing"s is immaculate.
That was epic. And, like many ideas in musical composition, repetition legitimates.
I loved this part!
He’s trained classically so I’d expect him to keep good time.
I was jamming and laughing so hard from that part by how genius that rhythm was thought out lol
Is it not edited to be that way?
Wow this is an oldie but goldie! Some context to the original clip from KYM,
"Since the original video went viral, Doug has participated in a handful of UA-cam interviews where he shared his side of the story. Through these various interviews, it was revealed that the teenager had been disturbing the peace in front of New York's Holocaust museum, and he had almost run Douglas over with his bike. In addition, the song that he was playing is known as ''Oh Suzannah'', a song infamous for its racist lyrics. Doug took the time to share parts of his life story in the later parts of the videos."
Why didn't the angry little man say any of that in the video then? All he did was berate the guy and scream about how much he sucked and how much better and more important he was than the trumpet player. Sounds like he's trying to make himself look less bad.
I'm trying to figure out how the lyrics to "Oh Suzannah" are racist. What am I not getting? We are talking about the same song right?
"Oh Suzannah don't you cry for me"What part of this song is about race?
@@miccassady9450 the song’s original second verse was very racist, and was originally written to be sung by a performer in blackface at a minstrel show. Stephen Foster was also a prominent composer of minstrel tunes.
Whoever this guy is I applaud him. This is his greatest performance ever and is what he will be remembered for.

It is great that Andre set his background to look like the outside of a building as if this NYU film school graduate was actually berating Andre for not respecting the silence which serves as the foundation for creativity. Layers man... layers.
The last chord is a Be-Flat.
@@AndreAntunesofficial brilliant... sucka!

Spit take dude! Golden comment…
Zack De La Rocha really let himself go after Rage Against The Machine disbanded, but he's spitting venom even more than ever.
That's the funniest thing I've seen in a long time!
I love how Andre keeps bringing back these meltdowns I haven't seen in ages. Such quality content.
This person is doing an awful lot of projecting. That kind of rage comes only from disappointment with one's self
You have no fucking idea what this person has experienced prior to this moment. He 100% can be a lovebale person that just has been through a horribly demanding time in his life, yet you are here in a crowd of a million people judging and assuming that you know anything about him. You are one huge reason for him to feel miserable. You should really be ahsamed of yourself.
Probably mental illness...it's sad but at least their meltdown had a fire soundtrack
Some big city people are just too tough on themselves, when the video went "viral", a channel found the little fellow and interviewed him, he seemed to be ok.
He's just mentally ill.

Amazing performances by both parties
Andre, you are one incredibly talented musician. Some of the sounds you get from the guitar are genius. I always look forward to your next post as they are enjoyable and very entertaining, Keep up the superb work. Thanks for posting!
The music nerd in me would love to hear about Andre Antunes’ process to create these master pieces.
Sucks!!!!! No Talent...POS😂😂😂🫵👍🤘🙏
Same I would love see Andre’s creative processes. He is a genius.
Me too! I'm just trying to sync video and audio that I made for a song together and having a tough enough time... Let alone syncing a musical masterpiece to a random heckler video 😅😅😎
That's a great idea! Andre Antunes, make it happen!
Use a beat mapping algo to sync the video and audio to a tempo/rhythm congruent form. (if neccessary)
Shred some sounds on the guitar, maybe tell a joke with sound and note choices?
??????
Profit?
0:49 "and you get yourself a gig" that part is so good man.
It's kinda like calling a musician "no bitches"
I love catching all the different Rage licks in the music, like "oh, there's Bulls on Parade!" etc.
You are amazing dude! Creativity and musicality!
1:08 😂😂😂 The breakdown after "1975!" as though it was a challenge like *_"OH! Do you want something period appropriate? Don't worry, I got you"_* and 2:04 after "trained classically"
That "who the f*ck are you" with the guitar lick got me laughing so hard and banging my head at the same time.

What a character
As a musician/artist I think that many of us have the moments where we stop and question ourselves about how good we are or if our current endeavour is worthwhile - it would be refreshing to receive an instantaneous aesthetic critique from someone like High Pockets. 😂 🤘
Man you just made my day! If only one could bottle up that energy and sell it, it’s worth gold, man! Pure gold! 🏆
"Get yourself a gig" SUCH BOUNCE.
That man got talent! Thanks for giving him a stage!

I honestly wasn’t sure…not that it matters, of course. 🧐
1:45 - The solo bend sync with the "stupid little smile" 😂
I've been waiting for this from you for years! great job dude!
This is just beautiful, had to listen to it at least three times: to pay enough respect to Andre's guitar playing talent, to pay enough respect to Andre's talent of finding the vocalist, and finally to pay enough respect to Andres' talent of mixing all his talents together ;D
Some artists have to pick and choose their soundbites...Andre sculpts the song around it 👏

You’ve got a low threshold for “nice guy”
It occurred to me that there must be some serious reason he went off like that, and thanks to people in the comments that summed up the explanation behind the rage. Now this song is even more meaningful as the person raging was not just some crazy guy. I just felt it when he said, "How dare you."

The only thing that can be said in Lord Farquaad's defense is that the majority of buskers are in fact terrible. It certainly doesn't give you the right to do all this, though.
The freedom of speech. He have all rights to speak free. Nobody have right to forbid anything (i am talking about speech)
@@mesnyankin89 freedom of speech concerns the government not limiting your ability to publish newspapers and radio shows, it has nothing to do with some douchebag insulting some guy on the street.
From another comment I hear the trumpet player was disturbing the peace for days and playing a song with racist lyrics “oh Suzannah” near the holocaust museum so there is that too. So essentially, buskers are in fact terrible
