- How many languages of rhythm do you know?
Please enjoy our new collaboration with friends from different countries.
My konakkol composition became bigger due to these amazing people:
Raquy Danziger - darbuka,
Anna Dirnberger - konakkol,
Ariel Hyatt - Ottawa Valley Stepdance,
Mayoori Jeeja Sangameshwar - konakkol,
Paata Chakaberia - base,
Pavan Annapragada - mastering,
Alex Ostapenko (me) - idea, composition, konakkol, video editing
...i guess what brought me here is falling down in Indian Metal covers rabbithole and listening to Konnakkol, and get this beauty recommended to me, lol
Heyy recommend Indian mental bands

You know what, this type of music reminds me something in the traditional folk music from Quebec (Canada) and maybe it comes from somewhere else too. I know it as "Reel chanté" which means like "sung riff". I see it like singing sound of instruments. You can have a look to that song here which is made only of that whiteout lyrics, but it's common to have things similar to that in short part of the song.

@@jeffgend wow, sounds very good, I didn’t know about Reel chante. There are also some other forms of similar voice improvisation in jazz music.
But konnakkol has a strong mathematical structure, that what makes it very special. People compose very complex phrasing and compositions, that are super challenging to perform.
This one deserves more views.
Thank you, Raj!
So nice
