My splitter had run out of gas the day before while in use like, as the hydraulics were engaged. I filled it back up but it wouldn't start....had be stumped for a bit
You had a Vapor Lock(Primer issue) These is NO relation between the Detent and the Engine. Even if the Detent Balls were stuck outward, the Handle placed in the Middle position ignores the Detent. There is No Hydraulic Pressure within the Detent assembly. The pressure buildup in the Main operating passage pushed the Spool back into the Center position, releasing the Detent.
