The covert operations were some of the hardest missions. I've beaten them all now and they aren't that tough but they can still be challenging. As for this mission. I never went the obelisk route. I got the crate, micro managed my units, sold some stuff and managed to survive.

If I am not mistaken, I played that level and there's a whole base down below this base that you can access by way of the stealth tank. As soon as you discover it, you have two functioning bases with a tiberium resource next to the bottom one. After that, it was smooth sailing. Pumped out tanks and kicked ass.
+Funnotfame I think you are half right, I remember it was like if you moved your stealth tank down to bottom of this map you will get another construct plat and build up base with denation box money
I have no idea how the targeting logic works at the moment. Walls are a dirty mix of building and overlay types, with the walls pre-placed in a map being pure overlay without owner. So, I don't know. Maybe I can somehow make it check if overlays are specifically player built. We'll see. If I ever accidentally stumble on the relevant code, I'll definitely look into it.
i really liked compleltying the mission to the point where only one enemy building remaind then filling the map with one base and getting as much money as possible
All I did on the mission was to sell a few buildings, can't remember which, and then train some engeneers and build a APC and transport them into GDI's base in the north-west corner. Worked like a charm.
+KANE LIVES!!!! First off, thats a graphics card. Second off:Depends on your CPU and OS. But judging by the size, if you got a CPU with the same power, probably around 45-90 FPS. Not like it matters, the game can run properly under 5 FPS and still look like its at 60.

Then I got Oblisk's of light up as fast as possible and went insane on building units and hanging onto them until my economy was strong. Sam-site at the north so that the A10's went for that instead of my more precious buildings.

I remember playing one of the GDI ones where you started off as one commando and a few engineers, unless you captured precisely the right buildings and sold them in exactly the right way, it was impossible to build a base. There's no way you could have even known this until you went through the mission several times...
I always use a damage sync to protect the high power but lighlyt armoured units. Classic sending 1 minigunner to draw a mammoth tanks fire while 3 bazookas or light tanks down it.

twist fo fate is mission that you have only small base on the bottom and there is few units on road (like convoy) and nod have superior in number , and they have got A-10 and nukes , and you must get an MCV to safe and build base still being attacked
I actually remember playing this back in the dy and we could not for the life of us figure out how to do it. We ended up using the stealth tank to destroy their base then somehow managed to play solid defense.
@erzkonservativ i can see there's a solution to this mission on yt, i havent seen it yet, but in case they dont mention it, if you go to the south of the map, there's a church with a resource crate in it.
That mission was fairly simple to me. Firstly, I scouted entire area with stealth tank, with no hurries, and waited for nuke to charge. Secondly, I launched a nuke at GDI base, so precisely that only a power plant and weapons factory were intact. Temple of Nod can be sold afterwards. Thirdly, I one by one provoked enemy units with splash or arty and then lured it to my light tanks and turrets. Flame tank and recon bikes can be sold. I started with northern blockade, due to them blocking my way to tiberium. Note: one vehicle, preferably a humvee, must be left in each blockade intact - if one of blockades' vehicles are all destroyed, remaining ones assault all at once, and it's much easier to handle single units than two waves of artillery, infantry and tanks at once. Note 2: GDI uses airstrikes to target northernmost units. It's the best to use SAM site as the taker, it's tough enough to get completely airstriked and survive to get repairs.
If only I could get my hands on it :( I haven't found any way to extract the Japanese unit voices from my PS or Saturn disks, and it seems the Japanese version only exists on console, not on PC... The original Japanese Saturn disk has the Japanese dubbed videos though (in the same file format as PC even!). I want those so badly, but I can't find any ROMS of it...
Build a wall of concrete or sandbags or silos toward the enemy base. Attach turrets and obelisks to the wall, selling them as you gain ground. By the time your wall reaches the enemy base, your turrets will start destroying that and you will win.
It did take a few tries but it worked. I think I sent two APCs and also sent a few tanks with them so they could get by all the units. I think a took their most expensive buildings and just sold them all except the constuction base. Then I just built a barrack and trained more engeneers and took the buildings as they built more.
i remember playing this c & c when i was about 6 or 7, and i remember this mission really well, i couldnt do it, but if you used the stealth tank to go osuth there was a crate with money i think you needed to destory a building to get it.. other than that i dont think i ever did finish this lvl
totally agree with Bizarro969... actually even easier way: on each side of the entrances, there are 3 major tanks... clear two of them is fine, the tanks on the other two sides will not attack until all 3 of them are destroyed.... in this way, you can allure the tanks one by one... this mission is the first mission i have won for C&C 95
That's a shame! The TS online gaming experience in 1999 when a ton of people played it was so much fun! Sadly,I couldn't enjoy it to the fullest because my PC could barely run the game, as it had the bare minimum specs required for the game to work! ;*( But some people still play it, after having done so for over ten years, because of how it was their first ever online game, and so they came to see it as being like a "first love" of sorts, with the ones that came after not being able to compare!
TS was the first game I ever played online, too!!!!!! I used to be addicted to C&C95 and particularly Red Alert 1 before TS, and would've LOVED to play them online, but never got to, as it wasn't exactly clear cut how to get them to work online at that point in time!!!! ;*( And even though I played some other online games after TS, the TS always ended up being the one that I kept going back to!!! I agree with a lot of other TS players that the Red Alert 2 online experience wasn't as fun as TS!
lol I finished this mission three times in a row not one hour ago:-D what a "nostalgia"... I used different strategy though. I didn't sell the Temple at the beginng, didn't went for Obelisks, instead I put three towers on each side, it's enough GDI wont attack anyway. Then I sneaked Stealth past them, found their base and just nuke'em- Conyard Refinery and War factory. btw. there is a crate with 2000 money in the church at the bottom of the map just have to carefully pass through the enemy lines
Here's my strategy: Built walls to the eastern and western forces and block the way. Now they can only get trough the northern passage. Built a lot of defense in the north and put all your tanks there. Once you attack the northern forces, all tanks will come to the NORTH. So the GDI forces will all die (if your defense is strong enough). Sell buildings, built ore refinery. Now you can use the nuke for the base in the north, cause you didn't have to use it for the GDI forces. This tactic works.

I attacked the harvester with the stealth tank to make GDI send a unit over. This unit would then go attack my base and get killed. I rinsed and repeated; the amount of GDI units surrounding my base got smaller and smaller. By the time GDI went on the offensive, they were too small a force to be dangerous.
Actually there a must simple way.. u sneak a stealth tank up north to a nearby village to take a money crate. Then use whatever money to spam light tanks.. then slowly sell off everything except airstrip, construction yard, atleast 1-2 powerplant and nuke silo. Go spam light tanks After that once you nuke u clear 1 side.. sell it quickly. At this time they would be attacking you from all side. focus clearing 1 side at a time.. usually the sneer number of tanks would overwhelm anything.
It's been mentioned, but use the stealth tank to go south and blow up the church there; it'll give you 1000 credits. Use the nuke of the nod temple on one of the 3 armies and then sell it. the obelix on top will pick off the top army one by one and ensure that those units won't be involved in the big attack. sell the top obelix once you're done there and fortify the other sections.
This mission is easy. The Stealth Tank is the key from start to finish. First sell all your silos and the bottom 2 Sam Sites. Keep the top 2 so the AirStrikes can keep attacking it. Drive the stealth tank around the whole map to get a view of everything. Then go all the way to the bottom and destroy the Civilian Village with it. Get the Money Box from the Church. Minigunners will come out of the buildings and go after the GDI Units sorrounding your base. Then build Turrets in front of your base.
Oh, right :) my mistake! The sandbag tactics work perfectly in every mission with a base, too. Just build a perimeter out of range of your base and your enemy will just wait there.

I always go to the bottom-most area with a stealth tank to retrieve a money crate. Then I speed up the game a little and wait for the nuke to be ready and in the meantime build some obelisks. I blast the nuke on one defence squad and my obelisks will do the rest. Then I put some engineers in that apc and conquer the enemy base. Easy as hell :)
Yeah I already figured it out, It is the mission under siege, it was a long time I finished the mission and did that once more, i keep loving that lvl! (PS, I did the mission in i think less then 20 minutes :| )
niceley done. almost the same as i do this mission. Only difference being, i nuke the conyard in the beginning and then start to wear them down. Really fun and tricky mission. But when you got it down right, it's awesome :)
dont sell the top left sam site - leave it to attract gdis ion cannon - gdi always atack the northwest-most unit. the sam can be hit by the ion cannon about three times and not die (you can also repair it also dont sell the TON until youve nuked something (its affectively useless then anywho)
there is a gold crate at the bottom of this map that gives you gold.. crab it with stealth tank and then sell temple to build oblisks. and then block 2 entrances with sand bags. so enemy walk into ur base in a single line, they will all get killed by oblisks as they approach.. very easy map
Im somehow am able to play this on windows 7 with "the first decade" edition, you just need to play diferent instalation settings when instaling, same for red alert 1
sell as much as possible, place 3 obelisks north f your base, just outside range of the units. place some walls arround the obelisks and nuke the left or the right group
No, you see you don't attack with the minigunner just bait the main cannon of the mammoth tank at maximum range, it's also important to move the minigunner directly where the tank turret is facing so it doesn't "flick" rockets at you.
oh yeah i forget try save money for atleast 1 harvester so u can econ up just incase u lost to many tank to counter attack. Usually with good micro u would have enuf number to counter attack..

this mission was easy i hate the ones where you don't get a base and you have to get stuff extract it then build a base while being attacked heavily

I used to have issues with this mission, but this was my first learning experience of having to turtle... which I did, then I used engineers

Im somehow am able to play this on windows 7 with "the first decade" edition, you just need to play diferent instalation settings when instaling, same for red alert 1

sell as much as possible, place 3 obelisks north f your base, just outside range of the units. place some walls arround the obelisks and nuke the left or the right group

No, you see you don't attack with the minigunner just bait the main cannon of the mammoth tank at maximum range, it's also important to move the minigunner directly where the tank turret is facing so it doesn't "flick" rockets at you.
oh yeah i forget try save money for atleast 1 harvester so u can econ up just incase u lost to many tank to counter attack. Usually with good micro u would have enuf number to counter attack..
ctrl a and you could select everyone instead of one group each
