I'm actually shocked this didn't return offiicially in Kanes Wrath. The GDI Steel Talons faction uses walkers; so it would seem logical enough that the Mammoth MKII could have been among them (Maybe as an Alternative Super Unit to the Marv). It really was a missed opportunity especially when EA had provided a great chance to have it return once more.
It was completely decommissioned, the main problem with the Mammoth Mk. II was the fact it was too slow, big a target and the fact that walkers have a VERY obvious weak point, the legs. Considering the new commandos, they would have made short work of such a unit. There is also the fact that walkers are very expensive on maintenance alone. On the bright side like all walkers, it has a natural high ground so to speak, so obstacles don't bother it.
They didn't return it because, you DO read the intel data right? Remember the intel report about the last Mammoth MK walker being closed in san pedro? Kanes wrath took place in the same time Kane resseructed and GDI "destroyed" scrin(they'll come back (;) so... returning them would kill the plot in some way.
MARV is a harvester. It's amazing for making money. I wish I knew how to mod it so that I could use whatever Units I wanted in GDI and NOD. Like use Titans and Wolverines in GDI instead of Predators and Pitbulls. Or if Steel Talons had Juggernaut, Sniper Team and Commando, I'd be more than happy. As for NOD, I would use Marked of Kane with Black Hand and Confessor Cabal instead of Tiberium Troopers and Awakened. Plus, the unmissed Specters and Shadow Teams. I rarely use NOD Commando, but a Cyborg Commando comeback would be amazing.

Lucas Greene Yes, that's what I meant, if you can't secure it, just walk the MARV around that and you get your money back for the MARV pretty fast (especially if the field is big).
I would love to see these walkers against Scrin forces, because GDI veterans said if they used walkers against Scrin forces, war against them in the third tiberuim war would've been easier.

I was surprised the Steel Talons in Kanes Wrath didn't have access to Mammoth MK2's since they used Wolverines and Titans. The Mammoth MK2 would've been a nice alternative to the MARV for the Steel Talons :)

The Ugly Barnacle Emmm... No, it's not even close to the Mammoth Mk. II. The Kodiak is mostly a support unit, since its rate of fire against ground units is crap. It's mostly used to support other ground units with its command Aura.
Still, it works wonders against the Scrin air force. The Mammoth Mk. II itself can be considered a support unit also as it's not meant to be used as an one-unit army. It's actually *very* vulnerable to Stealth Tanks and Banshees.
I will and always love this mod since it's got that badass Mammoh MK. II and stuff there...I also heard that they were making Version 1.5 for this sweet mod.
c&c4 this thing pwns even more so when you can make up to 4 of the beasts weak vs lasers it may be but the damage they inflict to it is shit lol never thought id the day when gdi was better then nod considering nod pwned in c&c3 and even more so in kanes wrath but i enjoyed all factions so its kind of hard to tell if nod really was the best now that i think of every ones gear XD

The Mammonth Mk II can be acquired in a couple Mods here's a couple off the top of my head Tiberium Essence (Hybrid between CNC 2&3.) Crossfire (Introduces a 4th, and a fifth tier to the tech tree.)
Not my point. GDI and Nod were dumbed down in Tiberium wars, Tiberium Essence (The mod that allows what is shown in the above video.) Brings back all of the things left out in Tib Wars from Tib Sun. So the Scrin were never truly fleshed out as they were supposed to be by Westwood.
To everyone who is confused or thinks it is overpowered, this was taken on Tiberium Essence 1.2, and it is at 1.6 now, it's much more balanced out and has new units etc. The Avatars are stronger now and the Mammoth, although very strong, isn't invincible. Making a Mammoth in the first place is incredibly difficult and costs about 23000 in total funds.
@Jslp1234 Hexapod's only in Kane's Wrath. They get something called a Conqueror, not sure what it is. And they also have another Mothership, but the one summoned from the Signal Transmitter was renamed the Planetkiller Mothership.

Some other things thrown into Tiberium Essence for include Titans and Hover MLRS. Nod gets their cyborgs again, and the heroic rank Avatar's lasers stay read. The person that made the mod felt blue wasn't Nod's color, which I think we can all agree on.

In addition to the standard weaponry, it can also either mount dual automatic heavy grenade launchers, or twin barrelled antiaircaft rail gun cannons, but not both. And it takes time and a decent amount of credits for the upgrade to take effect, but all in all, major badass war machine. :D Couple this with the voice dub of the MARV, and this monster rules the battlefield.
You going to do a superweapon montage for RA3? I've read about the Tiberium Essence mod. Quite a bit of stuff that was in TS was thrown in, and there were some minor changes like the Avatar's laser will stay red.
@M1k0T0ut Well TECHNICALLY it isn't a mission, but on the six-player desert map, with the Tib spike in the middle (I can't remember it's name). In the center, low left to the spike there is a husk of a Mk. II. (No, I'm afraid it can't be revived in any way, it's just a little nod back to the old C&C games)
The mod has improved since this. Nice use of the sounds of the Harkonen walker from dune and the apocalypse tank voice from RA 2. It is a great job overall, the finished mod doesn't look like a mod but part of the normal game!
Indeed... it's explained that they discontinued the mechanical behemoth, but since Kane's Wrath takes us back to the Tiberian Sun timeline, it would've been fun to see the Mk II again. But then, as the name implies, it's a Nod side story. I don't recall if there was a GDI campaign in the expansion.
I meant to add, the model for the Mammoth Mk II has been updated for Tiberium Essence 1.4, it looks different from the Tiberian Sun version somewhat, but looks even better and more badass than before. :D
1.5 Beta has been released and shortly after, 1.51 Beta hotfix was released too. 1.5 is amazing and it is like playing a completely different game. You will use different tactics and it is more varied with a much better challenge now. The Mammoth mk.II looks even better in this one. I love it!

You have seen that when they die the Mech, the tripods, or juggernauts, the bodies are lying to then be recovered, at least they had put the other mechanized units. Predator, Mammoth, or scorpion but no to be recovered, only to stay in the map wrecked
I used infantry to dig in with rocket soldiers to defend the base. It is great because you can repair the bunkers now and without my MCV, I only had a War Factory and a Barracks. Nod were constantly using stealth, Artillery attacks and aircraft. In my opinion, the campaign with this Mod are much more challenging now but resources seem a bit low if you ask me. I am yet to get to building an MMKII though, can't wait!
They are the same. In one of the Tiberium games NOD has a soviet Apoc tank picture. Likewise, Kane did show up in RA1. It is assumed when Einstein first altered the timeline it made the Tiberium universe possible. However, Yuri, who was a student of Kane - but was in the RA universe, further altered the Timeline. It is now assumed the Red Alert universe has been completely severed from the Tiberium Universe. However, you never know... ... ... a future product could join them again.
Which mod were you talking about? Tiberium Essence is for CNC3, not Kanes Wrath and includes an Artillery unit for Nod. Kanes Wrath Reloaded has a mod for CNC3 that adds official or ported Kanes Wrath units to the standard CNC3 campaign and Skirmish and there is also a Kanes Wrath Reloaded mod and Kanes Wrath Enhanced to improve Kanes Wrath so it can be a bit confusing.

Also, the patch for this particular game used the Apocalypse tank voice from C&C2: Red Alert. Lastly, I don't know why EA only used Americanized voices, maybe low on cash in the budget?
That's some thought I've been having as well. I would also give the Marked of Kane the Cyborg Commando as an epic unit since they use all those cyborgs, Traveler-49 some sort of flying unit to go with their mobility strength. You have any other ideas?

@Rossimint Its less balanced if you read actually, they lowered its primary damage, but now it hits more than one target in its line of fire, it bombards/crushes anything that gets near it. Plus it still has anti air AND you can make more than one. Its only nerf is that it has weaker armor. But like that matters since they have nano repair so unless the husk is destroyed or captured they will come back. Doesn't sound very balanced to me.
You do know you can upgrade the avatar right? recon bike- detects stealth stealth tank- gives the avatar a cloaking ability flame tank- uses flame thrower on close up targets beam reflector- a second laser (which also speeds up attacking) their quite powerful if given the time to upgrade them but the stealth tanks still have the advantage of attacking aircraft and moving faster.
yes link sorry I forgot about the shatterer. Plus yet the Marv is a replacement, but it doesn't seem to be as powerful for GDI did the pennypinching thing so they could cut back on costs. So if they deploy something as powerful as the Mammoth Walker than they just went against all they did in the first place.

Banshees, Fanatics, Vertigos, Devastators, PACs and Orca Bombers all make short work of the Mk. II in large numbers.

The moving sound is The Devastator from Emperor Battle for Dune and the talking is the Apocalypse from Red Alert 2

Remember that Mammoth mark I was called mammoth tank ,Mammoth Mark II is called the mech and Mammoth mark iii is mammoth tank of cnc3 .

look at the size and compare it to the nod tech centre. it only needs to put his paw in that tech centre

I play Kanes Wrath with Kane's Wrath Reloaded KWEnhanced, you should check those out too. Have you played 'The Forgotten' Mod yet too? The only Cnc3 Mod I know that has full campaigns, epic!
that is the old version. it doesnt take out an avatar with 2 railgun shots as far as i remember in v1.4

Its less balanced if you read actually, they lowered its primary damage, but now it hits more than one target in its line of fire, it bombards/crushes anything that gets near it. Plus it still has anti air AND you can make more than one. Its only nerf is that it has weaker armor. But like that matters since they have nano repair so unless the husk is destroyed or captured they will come back. Doesn't sound very balanced to me.
I sure hope the Core Defender is involved in this somehow. Now there was a terrifying superweapon.

If you use that enough, the already walking fortress turns into hell, when it gets promoted to general it flips s***.

Tiberium Essence is THE BEST mod for C&C3, really enjoyed playing!

You do know you can upgrade the avatar right?
recon bike- detects stealth
stealth tank- gives the avatar a cloaking ability
flame tank- uses flame thrower on close up targets
beam reflector- a second laser (which also speeds up attacking)
their quite powerful if given the time to upgrade them but the stealth tanks still have the advantage of attacking aircraft and moving faster.
i think the walking sound is from the devestator from emperor: battle for dune. it still sounds like 100 tons of your screwed!
yes link sorry I forgot about the shatterer. Plus yet the Marv is a replacement, but it doesn't seem to be as powerful for GDI did the pennypinching thing so they could cut back on costs. So if they deploy something as powerful as the Mammoth Walker than they just went against all they did in the first place.

sigh... I really wish that they had actually included the Mammoth Mk. II in the game. At least this mod puts it back in. I love the Mammoth Mk. II!
