- Add auto start/stop memory functionality to your Jeep Wrangler JL
(2018-present). Watching this short how-to video (~5:00) will take almost as long as the actual installation. The device remembers your last setting so next time you restart the vehicle, you don't have to remember to press the disable button (which your first stop in traffic will remind you)
The unit I am installing is a TRL Automotive Autostop Eliminator, part number AE018: www.autostopel...
Installed one in my '18 JL today. The hardest part for me was getting the new plug in. Old guy eyes and limited light made it a challenge. But it works as advertised and I don't have to keep hitting that stupid button.
Man, I can’t for the life of me get those connectors out. To the point i have a huge blister on my fingers. Don’t know how the heck to get them out/off so I can connect this product. Very frustrating
Yeah, I had to watch the video again...but that does remind me how hard that clip was. Try the two hands (feeling fore the clip), only way I was able to get it and also the reason it was impossible to film.
@@MrIntored finally got it. I took them out with the end of a flat piece to help with the tab. Then pulled out the 12 pin connector, then did the same with the 8 pin connector. I was freakin determined to get it done. Now it’s installed and is working. Whew, lot harder to get those connectors out then I realized. Hopefully this comment will help othets
@@MrIntored still great video. I do appreciate you taking the time to film and share
Thank goodness you made this video, I was about to give up and send part back. CJ ponies video was a joke. They need a lot of improvement in their show how to do it videos.
No worries John, I only wish I could have got a video with both my hands up there…it is a tough spot to get your hands for sure
I having an issue with my 2020 wrangle JL sport altitude it won’t star the break pedal feel so hard and I have the check engine like on the dashboard anybody had this issue ? Anyways nice video 👍
This happen with the Eliminator installed? I've got almost (2) years and 20,000 miles and still working as it should..no issues.
@@MrIntored without the eliminator , I just got my Jeep fix from the dealership they told me the the battery was the problem they also told me the aux battery wasn’t there not sure if they now the aux battery is under fuse box I need to look what exactly they did , all I know that car comes with 2 batteries 1 is for the accessories you know sometimes dealership can be dumb.
Thank you for doing this! Your video instructions were super helpful.
No worries, glad it has helped
