Metra 95 HDIF Inner Fairing Windshield Post Repair
Переглядів 646 місяців тому
These aftermarket fairings utilize a very brittle plastic in their construction, and as a result the threaded ferrules that secure the top of the outer fairing and the windscreen typically begin to deteriorate. The center post can be salvaged with this simple hack...or if you don't have access to a lathe you can reach out to me through the email address at the end of the movie.
2012 CVO Street Glide Metra 95 HDIF Inner Fairing & SounDigital 2400.4 EVOX Amp Upgrade
Переглядів 4,4 тис.3 роки тому
The '12 Screaming Eagle (CVO) Street Glide comes well appointed for its time with what was considered a state of the art stereo system; components in the upper fairing, mid bass in the lowers, 5x7 coaxials in the lids and 2x 100 watt amplifiers. However by today's standards, the dash and electronics are as dated as CD players. This project was to keep the bike true to her origins, but freshen u...
Adding a Auto Stop / Auto Start Eliminator to Jeep Wrangler (2020) JL

Add auto start/stop memory functionality to your Jeep Wrangler JL (2018-present). Watching this short how-to video (~5:00) will take almost as long as the actual installation. The device remembers your last setting so next time you restart the vehicle, you don't have to remember to press the disable button (which your first stop in traffic will remind you) The unit I am installing is a TRL Auto...
Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Removal - Ford Escort (P0715 Input/Turbine Speed Sensor)
Переглядів 8 тис.5 років тому
This video is strictly to help those who have already diagnosed and know where the speed sensor is. After trying all of the common "easy" options, I ended up following the advice given by so many others...tap the body and use a slide hammer. These basic steps will save you hours of frustration trying more conventional approaches. You will need 1/4-20 & 3/8-16 taps and a cheap slide hammer.

Solved - Dangerous Electrical Issue on Cyclone 5th Wheel RV
Переглядів 1717 років тому
Originally thought the protections to harness and fuel lines as they ran though sharp steel penetrations was the source of the electrical failure; however as this video shows there was a sharp, self drilling/tapping screw put right into the path of the wire.

If you need the spare, do you have to take down the horns, or is there clearance to drop the tire??? I got the same truck 2015 black Super duty

@KVAL83 the compressor and the horn rack do not interfere with the spare tire...can lower the tire and items remain securely mounted to the trucks structure

Can't speak of the other brands, but I am guessing most have similar fit and durability issues. Already made upgrades to the nut retainer which secures the switch valance and you can see another video on my channel that deals with the wind shield ferrels.

Nice build! I am in the process of doing the identical build but with the SD 1200.4 amp on a 2011 Ultra Limited. I have been beating my head against the wall trying to get the amp fit. I really do not want to put the amp in the saddlebag. I have it close with a homemade amp bracket but it looks like your amp is setting a little higher than mine. At this point, I think I will get the Metra BC-AMP02 Amp Bracket and make the mods. I am also currently running the DM headlight. It only sets in 2.5" but I went ahead and ordered the headlight. Great video!!

Was the speedo not working? My speedometer on cluster is not working and I don't see any signal coming from the sensor and I don't see vehicle speed changing when viewing live data with the scanner therefore I believe I the sensor is bad. Were you getting codes at the transmission or PCM module?

Hi Connor, we had the truck for about (3) years...everything still worked, but really the quality of the horns suffered after the first winter here in Chicago. They were well protected from the elements, but the pitch and the decibels deteriorated; if we had kept the truck I probably would have replaced the horns by now and kept using the compressor..

Ahhh, those are dummies left over from the OEM set up as the GZ are already coaxial; I just didn't find another matching gauge or filler to use if I pulled them. I'm not sure I am going to stay with the GZ, they sound great when sending the juice, but 90% my volume is below half and then they sound really flat. So might be putting tweeters in those holes if I make the change across the front...the Diamonds in the lids though sound great throughout the power band.

Thanks. Saved me a lot of trial and error and head scratching. The taps were the ticket and worked perfect. I used a rig with some 1.5 pvc pipe and the 3/8 bolt to pull it out instead of the slide hammer. Probably about same effort. I had the bonus of the head snapping off of the hold down bolt too but once the sensor was finally out I had room to get an extractor on what remained. I watched the video before doing the work and thought if i sprayed it down with penetrant, did it when the trans was warm, and agitated it some I wouldn't need the taps. I still needed them. 2002 zx2

You didn’t mention what lube you used. Some use dish soap but the ultimate is silicone grease. Avoid any petroleum based lube as this causes the impeller to soften and swell that can be real bad if it’s not ran immediately so the water can clean it away.
