Game Boy Color USB-C Charging Kit Pro Installation

This was a retail sample from Gil Tesa and it should be the same as the final retail version provided that there are no real issues with it. You can read more about the project from the github page: github.com/giltesa/Game-Boy-C...
This provides a replacement DC regulator which will hopefully increase the efficiency in DC regulation (since no screen rails are generated anymore) but this will only work with aftermarket LCD kits. This also provides an audio amp that is plenty loud and sounds pretty good for a GBC. Last, this provides and interface and charger for an internal LiPo battery.
Do note that simultaneous play and charge is NOT implemented as there is no load switching for the charge IC. Device can only be safely charged when powered off.

I am freshly new to the gameboy modding scene, installed only a q5 ips kit in, (first time ever soldering anything) this mod seems so great but maybe a little out of my comfort level, maybe if I had a desoldering tool, the plunger type, I would attempt. Nonetheless, this video was so incredibly awesome, your knowledge on not only the mods but how the circuitry works is incredibly informative and educational. I really appreciate this!

Nice video. I believe that you don't need an overdischarge protection system as most of the lipo batteries they have a protection circuit where the two leads connect to the battery body. Having it on the board would be duplicating the system.

Great video! But when you line up the charging board to the gameboy color board one of the fuses is in the way. From the video i did not see you remove that specific one and it does not fit when i tried to put it over it. Please advise and thank you for your time!

hi mahko did you nottice a big difference in weight with out the doubble AA ? what do you prefer on your hands waht feels better with doubble AA or with the lithium usbc kit? thank you for your time!
