This is worth 5$ a month.
"Now I'm a f#$k you bear, Dave!" How do ya like that
i love how jazza avoided swearing riiiight until the triple 6 roll xD
Seen some your painting videos, and seen some of the narrators lore videos. I will be watching battle reports from now! This is awesome!
Very happy to see BlackMagicDesign being a sponsor, they're such a good company.
I am an anti-fan of GW game design (move figures into range and roll dice and see what happens and if you roll sixes you play well) but still appreciate how beautiful and evocative your battle report is. I wish you could do something similar for smarter titles ;) You know, ones where your decisions matter more than how many sixes you and your opponent roll ;)
My eyes widened in shock when i heard Uncle baldy doing the intro, it was then and there when i knew this was gonna be good
Same here
Literally the same
"if i had a nickel for every time baldy introduce a battle report i would have two nickels which isn't a lot but its amazing that it happened twice"
and also absolutely useless as i live in the UK
Bro same here as well. His narration is so epic it’s practically soothing
Yep! Hearing Baldermort as narrator and I was chought ;) in the first 10 seconds as well. You guys should make a story with him :D Great thing!
9:30 Space Marine: "The patient hunter gets the pray"
Me, who remembers that line being said by the T'au in Dark Crusade: 👁👄👁
"We are Space Bears, our primary weapon is patience... and claws! Our primary weapons are patience, and claws... and very, very, very bad puns."
The background screen works so well, extending the vista. The terrain, miniatures, and production (especially the OTT deaths) are all top-notch; and the engagement from the players is off the scale.
For those too young, this is a reference to a little band of merry men called Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
Nobody expects Space Bears!
In a Grimdark universe the truest evil is Jazza's rolls.
Idk those puns are pretty evil. Un-bear-able..., without... paws..., sounds pretty evil to me.
One of the best cinematic battle reports ever!
Yeah the cinematic in the start
The voice actors
Very well made painting!!!👌
And a good game
I see great future for you guys
Thank you for all the effort 👏👏👏
YEAH THIS IS SO GOOD
i think these guys are giving play on some competition with their brs
Watch GFN gaming!. Their Killteam Narrative Campaign is amazing!!
@@Mr281560 great suggestion! They put a lot of effort into their work as well!
does anything like this for Lord of the rings exist
I feel bad that the marines had the objectively worse kill team for them, assault intercessors just can't compete with the crazy damage output of ranged weapons in the game rn. Can seem really super unfair, and I think this game was a good example of that.
I'm honestly surprised he doesn't just use the deathwatch rules for them. Bolter check, power weapon (claw) check. Then all he needs is one guy with a plasma gun and another with a heavy bolter/frag launcher. Can slap a shield (stormshields) on the back of one or two of them too, that's what I'm doing anyway.
Not to mention, that the Tau player seemed a tad bit arrogant and cocky
@@seanmcguire8474 New here, huh? They're super good friends and it's all in good fun.
This intro is so freaking sick! I'm only like 10 seconds in and I'm already blown away. When I first saw Tabletop Time relaunch, I was really excited to see where it would go, but lately every single video completely smashes my expectations. Congratulations to you all and keep it up!
Look up baldermort, his is an awesome personality and voice actor/ narrator for wh40k content
Agreed!
Baldermort is awesome he's doing introductions all over the place. He does Distractible podcast too.
You should look into Baldermorts youtube channel. he does awesome wh40k lore videos
Baldemort narrating the beginning of this was incredible. I love his channel! Awesome Battle Report!
“Baldemort doing voiceovers? Oh this is gunna get good” - me before i just watched the best batrep i’ve watched in a while
Great battle report. Minis, scenery, art, voicework. Looking forward to more of that.
Some corrections:
1. You don't have to select the same Tac Op. You actually select 3 of them - take 6 of the same type, draw two, select one, and do it 3 times.
2. Aimed Pulse Valley works only if the Fire Warrior didn't move before shooting.
3. I'm not sure whether you resolved the melee fight correctly since you didn't show it. From what is seen from editing and commentary, you do it by "who rolls more, wins, and deals damage for extra dice", which isn't correct. Instead, each fighter, starting from the attacker, in turn picks one hit and either strikes with it or parries, discarding one of the enemy's dice (crits are only parried with crits). It can lead to a number of interesting situations, even someone who rolled fewer dice can win the fight before the enemy can resolve all his hits. If it's something you already were doing - I would suggest showing it on camera, it's a big part of the game.
It's so hard to understand this game. So many different rules.
One thing I'm noticing too is there is a couple measurements that are being doubled/tripled. Breach and Clear I believe is only in effect at 3" and you one break cover on the stealth Suits at 2". I think what happened is you multiplied the shape by the inch value. Making it squared the distance it's supposed to be. Which isn't correct.
Thank you!. I was wondering what one earth they were doing during that melee combat?!
i will add one more 14:00 crit cannot be blocked for cover since it says that only a normal save can be blocked. and i don't know how they exactly played but stealth suits have keyword fly and ignore vertical distance
@@YuriKurokhtin You can block a crit with two normal successes, which can include success from cover, that what they did.
Yes! We need more of these Kill Team battle reports! Loved it! Graphics and special effects were fantastic!
I enjoyed the way this was presented. I'd love to see a series like this in the context of a greater storyline.
Our humble servant, Baldermort made me so hype for this.
That Snowball NO - is what I needed in life!
The beginning sounded like a fantastic David Attenborough documentary 😂. Doug is precious. The sass, the explanations, the board, the SFX, just well done lads 👏👏
I was expecting big things from this duel and I was still utterly blown away by all of it and the famous voices from the community
The bear puns!
The special effects turned out even better than I had expected from the behind the scenes video.
Loved the story.
You got fricken Baldemort?! Damn this will be good
Look up baldermort if you want stories far better than that great albeit short intro. He is an awesome personality and voice actor/ narrator for wh40k content. His stories an narratives are God tier, and not ruinous God either.
Damn this was good Baldemort narrating the opening, the amazing bolter sound effects, the Voice acting, amazing voice acting, beautiful models, and so much more damn y’all did a very good job
AH IT’S TIME! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!
This was the greatest war hammer depiction I’ve ever seen. Whoever did the writing and editing for this is amazing! You just earned a new fan. 🤩
I love the narrative cutaways! Such a great presentation style! Can't wait for more
This batrep and the productionvalue are on a stunning level. Keep it up!
I love the intro, and the speech text bars with images and voices! It makes the story much more engaging than just a basic kill team game of them explaining tactics and what their doing, the cinematics really help immerse into the world, and the fight at hand!
I’ve been so freaking excited for this!!! Keep up the good work! You inspire us all!
The production value of this was absolutely incredible! Was fun to watch despite the fairly unbalanced teams. Hopefully there will be more of these to come. amazing job!
For sure the BEST kill team battle report I’ve seen
Need more of this. You guys did a fantastic job and love the minis. Hope to see more soon.
You got my attention with the Baldemort intro, and your Battle Report was just so fun to watch! Good editing is what makes or breaks a BR, and you just nailed! Can't wait for more
This was amazing! The story elements, voice acting and artwork add SO much
You guys did an absolutely incredible job with this one, love it! Well worth the effort
I don't remember when I last have, or if I even have, seen a battle report with such good production. Having voice lines for the characters and kill shots is so freaking cool, espcially as it is Kill Team, a smaller and more character focused game. This, with the fact that its two armies you have build on the channel on top of everything else, makes this so cool. I really want to see more like, and knowing it can, and maybe will, be used in a character focused, voiced, battle report like this, makes me super excited for future conversions or kit builds from either army, or even any army for that matter. Extremely engaging, keep it up!
Love, love, love this! I hope to see more cinematic battle reports in future!
I would love to watch more of these, the little voiceovers for the characters are awesome.
The Tyranid models need to have some bear genes in them since they defeated the Space Bears squad.
Plus, it’s a cool way to keep them unique by giving them more bear-like faces, and bear claws. Heck, maybe even make them furry too
fluffy tyranids is not something i thought i would be thinking about but it sounds hilarious
@@genericuser984 Tyranids becoming furries…Now that’s truly terrifying!
The banter was fantastic, this video was amazing and I look forward to more.
This was amazing, and the cinematic battle reports were top-notch!
A joy to view!
This was SOOOO good! The editing was great, and I think Kill Team is the best way to do frequent batreps at this higher level. It also can lead to cooler videos for prepping- customizing and paitning a Kill Team of units is way faster and, imo, more enjoyable to watch than doing that for an army of 40k proper.
I can't express how much I enjoyed this. Simple format but high production value without being really flashy and over the top. Good balance between humour and grim dark.
Genuinely one of the best battle reports I've ever watched.
I Love Both the Space Bears and the Tau Sakura Models and the Game play. I hope to see more soon. Also Really Love the Story mission and Art work you guys did too.
Amazing production values, great job please do more!
oh my GOD there is SO much in this!!!! The different character art, the animations, the VO work, the effects, good LORD this was incredible to watch! Plus having watched the RP beforehand added that much more!! Poor little Ace, man!! This was stunning, and I can't wait for the eventual continuation!
I absolutely love the little cinematic bits between each attack and the banter between each side. Great Battle Report! The Pure savagery when the space bears attack is freaken hilarious.
Literally perfect!
I cant think of any other group of people who I would rather watch play Battle Reports.
hope to see the next and many after!!
This was an awesome video with great production quality, and clearly a lot of effort went into making this video for us the viewers. Just one thing to note, clarifying something for anyone interested in playing kill team, at 12:55 when Dave uses 'breach and clear' he specifies that his Tau can re-roll a dice and ignore cover while within 9-inches of the target when it should be 3 inches. Probably why he wiped the floor with Jazza's space bears.
MORE!! I wanna see MORE of these Space Bears! Given how much time, effort, and footage you've put into making them, to only use them in this ONE GAME would be criminally neglectful of you!
what a fantastic video! There are some thing I see in the more higher produced battle review videos but you went about w/ certain elements such as the little "cutscenes". What a fun, surprising video!
You should do a kill team match using Daves nurgle monstrosities! This game was fantastic and I can't wait for the tyranids to munch on the Tau!
Wow Great battle and i like that you put story and scenes between the fights . You guys have earned my subscription to your channel with your sword!!!!
The production quality on this is incredible. Amazing job, guys.
This is so cool. The story and production was amazing.
Great terrain, two fantastic Kill Teams, fabulous production. 10/10. Outstanding job guys!
This is def the highest production KT battle report on youtube, I want more of this!!!
Absolutely amazing stuff! Looked great and as someone who has never actually played kill team I was able to follow along with what was going on, unlike just about every other battle report I’ve seen
more of this please, made me excited about killteam and space marines going to be looking at a tau killteam squad now myself
im really enjoying this type of battlereport! not super long, and the interview like segments are fun and the cinematic parts are just a chefs kiss looking forawrd to more battle reports already!
I loved it from the start! Amazing work and awesome to see good guys like baldemort and you work together.
this might be one of the best battle report formats i've seen, and i've seen a lot as i have way too much time on my hands... more please.
This was definitely an awesome duel and a mighty battle report. Thanks!
I love that the Space Bears were a lil more sleepy in the tactics in the winter board like hibernation, and when you play on spring/summer boards you can develop more aggressive tactics!
I love all of this; the custom board, the fluff on each model and faction, the art and voiceover work, the TV screen with a windy ice storm background... well done guys!
Please do more of these, this was fantastic
So much effort for the table and minis and then the camera is all about the players.
Now! You’re obligated to make more! This was awesome, and the dialogue was very narratively pleasing. I don’t normally care for 40k but y’all do a great job 🤘🏼
this was incredible. looked like a show i might tune into on TV. very professional, can't wait to see more.
Pure awesomeness!! No idea how I missed this when it was first uploaded.
To celebrate buying my first 3D printer, I bought your Space Bears conversion pieces! It took a bit of tweaking in my settings, but they came out really well! I don't actually play the tabletop, but I'm so excited to paint my own custom Space Bears. The way you designed them is almost exactly what I wanted from my own custom Space Marines.
I just had my first game of Kill Team. I did a Jazza and deployed my Melee Space Marines in the open, two were injured including my Sergeant and one died before he got to do anything. Unlike Jazza, it was 6VP against 7VP loss, a 1VP loss instead of a 3VP. Sure all of them died seizing objectives but at least they were sacrificed with honour and didn’t cower and hide.
Hello Baldemort! A pleasure to hear thy narration once again!
Amazing quality - can't wait for more!
I absolutely can't wait to see more of these!
I'll definitely help on the Patreon once I'm able.
Love the tv in the background! Brilliant!
Things I really want to watch always seem to drop right when I'm trying to sleep.
Also, Baldy intro.
Noice.
Yo this was sick, the added effects of shots being fired, people blowing up and the mid battle convos made it super immersive, makes me wanna come back for the next one. Nice one guys
This is the best batrep I've seen. Keep these coming lads.
Incredible production! This was wonderful to watch.
I really love this style of battle report. This is such fun to watch!
This is a cool concept for a series. Playing to your strengths with art and tabletop gaming. This series played across multiple game types could be super sick
Unbelievably cool. This made my day. Thanks for sharing this amazing content.
The screen in the back makes this so engaging!! Very cool video!
The wide screen TV in the background was absolutely amazing.
What a fun battle report! Top notch production, board, and models all around.
I respect the production and the voice acting giving the characters on the board personality and it makes this video better then a ton of other channels
I've never played Kill Team, or seen it played, so this was a huge treat! Great job on the armies and the terrain!
This was legit! Great set piece and background. It all lent to the immersion beautifully. Well done!
This is how battle reports should be done. A battle report i can watch in a half hour! The excessive bear puns got me good, and i like how Dave’s characters all were named
Best battle report I've seen, it was really entertaining. Well done guys
One of the most fun battle reports I've ever watched seriously looking forward to more like this. UP THE SPACE BEARS!!!!
Now this is a battle report please keep em coming.
i have been waiting for this for AGES!
I LOVE BALDERMORT'S VOICE! I recognized him right away!
As a 40k player and a follower of your artistic work and channel. I was really happy to see you make your own custom SM chapters. That been said seeing it going into the tabletop is even more nicer!
Best Battle Report I've watched, well done guys.
A faultless battle report - fantastic! Hope to see more kill team!
1st time viewer of the Chanel. Very impressed to say the least. Absolutely love the narrative dialog especially the space bear incoherent growls. I will be back for more even if it doesn't feature tau, which is saying something because I almost exclusively consume tau content. Great work, keep it up.
Absolutely love these cinematic battle reports
I love the dialogue and monologues within and between the two teams!
Best bat rep ive seen. Thank you im defo looking forward to next one. Amazing job go on the space bears .
