Get yourself a driftsock tie it to bow, throw it out with 15'-20' of line. You will still drift but slower with wind and wave in bow.

You’ll love the versatility of the Pro V. I’ve got a 2020, use it for everything in salt and fresh water. 150 Yamaha, 9.9 Yamaha, Minnkota riptide ulterra 80lb up front on fish fighter quick connect that I swap it for Columbia River anchor nest and anchor for anchoring Columbia River. I. Use the bow mount usually in saltwater for bottom fishing, crabbing, shrimping, sometimes for bow control in the River when backtrolling salmon. They are beautiful boats. Happy trails, tight lines.

Around the dock where we’re berthed. Also when we pull up to different places to grab a bite to eat, we will drop a couple worms in before we take off.

We normally anchor and fish with anchovies. Great tip on catching those monster size fish. I will have to try it the next time we head out to the Delta.
Yes. Live bait is the way to go and using the trolling motor to drift with the current. Stripers love live Bluegill and Minnows!!!!

Right off Decker Island. About a mile up or so from the 3 mile slough bridge near Rio Vista!!

We don’t launch. We’re berthed at a marina!! Those days are over 😂💪🏽
what size are your hooks
I believe we used the 2 ought … mosquito hook, I’d have to double check when I get back on the boat 😂🎣
Nice video. I have my boat berthed at sugar barge. So much easier to just jump on and go and not having to deal with launching. 95% of the time in fishing for largemouth and occasionally chasing stripers with lures. I have a cousin that I take trolling for stripers every once in awhile because he is paralyzed on one side, but would love to try to drift live bluegill. Any tips would be appreciated. Leader length, hook size, weight or no weight? I don’t need spots, just a little more info on your guys fishing rig setup. Thanks

Fo sho! We use a mosquito 3/0 hook with a 2 to 3 foot leader run a sliding sinker above the swivel and put a bead between the slider and swivel so it doesn't stick and a 1oz ball weight. Run the hook under the jaw and come up in between the two nostrils. Good luck!

What size weight do you use ? When u drift with live bait ?
If we’re using MINNOWS we use a 3/4 oz, but yesterday since it was a LITTLE windy we used a 1/2 oz weight.
If we’re using BLUEGILL we use 1 oz weight. HOPE THAT HELPS!!
We’re you guys just drifting or anchored?
We drift with the current , no anchoring.
