Drifting Live Blue Gills For Delta Striped Bass

Started the afternoon off with a little ultralight fishing. Caught a bunch of fresh lively blue gills, then headed straight for the striper grounds. These fish sure were active, saw a few busting on top. Started ripping a jerk bait around & soon after broke the skunk off the boat. Super fun evening on the good ole Delta!

Nice, at my lake they love them live gills too if there is no shad. Heck, they like anything that fit in their mouth. Them are some nice cows, fall is the season for the big girls to fatten up.

As far as I know u can transport blue gill in the same body of water u caught them in, U just cannot transport to another body of water

They are everywhere. Fish near structure, vary depths in the water column. Patience is key

Gills are good bait when i have limited time and want quick limit. live bait is boring so I stick with lures more. And ofc I catch my biggest Stripe with bluegill.
