thanks for sharing. You had a great day and you were kind enough to share it with another fisherman. Good job!!
Thanks Johnny!
Man you were killing it!! Those areas were hot too and U got the bigger ones you been asking for. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Max!!
Nothing more fun than getting big delta stripers on glide baits!
That’s right! Thanks Jackson!
Thank you very much for the tips man, I'm a fly angler myself but learned a lot from your videos, where to go, and color for flies. Just moved back down from McCloud, can't wait to get out, thanks again and cheers!
Thanks Austin, glad you like the video! You will wreck them out there. The fly is so deadly. I am going to get a fly rod and do some videos next year!
@@DDFishingCo Heck yeah, can't wait! Thanks again amigo! Tight lines!
Thank you! This was an awesome video! 🙌
Thanks David, glad you liked the video!
You said we'd hate on you in the comments for sharing the water...not at all! It's great to see you willing to share the water with others, especially with them being respectful during the interaction.
That's awesome thank you!
Solid day! Man that looked like so much fun 👏🏽
Thanks! It was a blast!
Time to upgrade those hooks! Lol Can't wait for the fall striper run! Tight lines!
Yes sir! I need to pick up some upgraded trebles asap! Had one come off this morning. Good luck to you out there!
Awesome video, thanks for sharing. Some great fishing.
Thanks! It’s been awesome out there as of recently.
Very good video and the delta fishing is so addicted when u r at the right place and right time.... Thanks for sharing the video
Thanks for watching the video! the delta is Fishermans heaven. Right place right time, you can have some of the best days of your life!
Awesome video looks hella fun striper heaven lol
You got that right!
The CA swim jig/ keitech has been killing it for us around Sherman the last few weekends. You should get out there! 2 man limited out within first 30 min.
Thank u. How do you rig it up?
Thats awesome, great job! Good news I finally got a motor for my bass boat so i have some work to do and I will hopefully be out there before the end of the run!
i run the 1/2 oz CA swim jig with a 4.3 keitech 👍
Man that looks like so much fun
It was a blast man!
Nice catch that big girl was nice but u got some nice ones all day I just started throwing some bigger swim baits and they will definitely catch some nice big hogs I haven't got a 30 + on the big swimbaits but I know my time is coming and that's cool u hooked the other fisherman's up there is no hate here thats what fishing is about catching and helping the other Fisherman out
Thanks Blayne! If you keep chucking those bigger baits you’ll get a big one sooner or later! Yeah it was cool to see them catch a fish on a glide!
Man great work!
Thanks Cheng!
great video and tips! nice! I caught 6 Stripers this Saturday 11/12 at Ocean Beach. almost 8! It was insane I hit a school. used Yo-Zuri Hydro Monster Shot Silver 2 1/8 OZ lure.. I think I set a SF record - no joke! Let 4 go.
Thanks! Glad you like the video. Ocean beach in SF! Those are some good ones over there for this time of year!! Nice job
Nice work bro....I've been hitting the Napa every other weekend and still barely catching schoolies...WTH is going on in the Napa this year, they should be in the system by now.
Thanks Sopea! I agree it’s been really tough out there this year. Everyone I know has had a similar experience. I would definitely try the east delta!
That’s awesome bro 🤙🏽saludos from baja cal MX
Hell yeah! Baja!! Thanks!!
Thank u!
You're welcome!
I am that fisherman on tracker. Appreciate your help!
No way! So cool you found our video! Good to meet you. Hopefully you have caught some out there 😎
@@DDFishingCo my friend send me here, check your Instagram, sent you a picture of a big one I caught later that day. Lol. Anyway still appreciate your help
@@DDFishingCo I also edit videos too!
Top water action is the best on the delta.
Its truly the best 😎
Dope day!
It was awesome an awesome day. I really want to get back out there and pull on some stripers! Thanks for watching!
Great video... I feel your pain having to call it a day when you're on fire...
Its the worst when you gotta go cause of someone else! Haha thanks Pete!
Nice day fishing! Love days when there's no wind like that....wow
Thanks it was an awesome day out there!
Thanks for that excellent tip of using a 4.3 Keitech Swimbait because I once tried a smaller size and it didn’t swim right at all.
The 4.3 just works great! It give the skirt good action too!
After watching this vid I got some 4.3s and a swim jig and went to similar areas and caught about 10 stripers! Thank you!
@@roderunnr450 that’s awesome, so cool to hear it worked for you!
Have you been out this week since the cold front and rain? I am heading Saturday renting a little boat out of Sugar Barge.
I went out Wednesday morning for 2.5 hours, caught decent sized fish on glide baits. The water temps were down to about 53-54. I think fish are still in the system for sure!
Nice. Love to put myself on a day fishing like that if you mind letting me know which part of the delta is that or launch. Thanks😊
Awesome thanks for watching, here I was in the west delta, near rio vista
Any spots you’d recommend fishing for stripers down from the Rio vista bridge. I always fish the north delta and don’t know any spots down from the bridge. Thanks
Certain times of the year anywhere from franks tract up to the rio vista bridge is great. Id look for current breaks and areas that striper can push baitfish.
What kind of rod & reel combo are you using?
I was using a Dobyns fury 765 for the rod. I’ve used 735 too. I like them both! For the reel I had a Diawa coastal series reel with 65lb braid
Its a big dream to catch some good fish like that myself while im here in Cal, but sadly i havent had any luck yet. Wish I had a boat🙈
How long are you in Cali for? I am sure you’ll connect on some big ones!
@@DDFishingCo going back to good old Germany right before Christmas😁
I hope so, you got any good spots from the shore and any tips for me?
@@mielplay7330 Germany!? I don’t get out from shore too much. What I would look for would be places you can access that have big current breaks, areas that have points, even tule points. Live bait or lures ?
@@DDFishingCo Yeah, im staying for 2,5 months and i needed to try out the fishing here.
I brought a bunch of lures from home, but I also use some small Jacksmelt as Bait😁
Awesome video! Love it and so kind to share your spots w other anglers. I was wondering what part of the tide was is when you are fishing top water at the flat. And also for your swim jig are you using 65 lbs braid?
Thanks Nelson for watching out video. It was an outgoing tide, almost slack at that time. I use the dirty jigs California swimjig, the 1/2 ounce size with a 4.3 kietech on the back. I also used 65lb braid no leader!
Just subbed! Great vid and good tips! Who did the foam decking on your boat? How do you like it? Been considering…
Thanks for liking the videos! I had my sea dek done at live2wake in Vacaville last September. I love the sea dek, easy to spray off. It does show dirt easily however. Little pricey depending on what you get done like custom patterns ect.
Great video.
Is that a Phoenix rod
Thanks!! Its actually a Dobyns for the swim jigs, and the Swimbait rod is a IROD
great video what rods are you using great rods
Awesome thanks man! I was using irod Bailey swim rods for the big glidebaits and dobyns fury rods for the swimjigs
I've switched to 6th sense swim jigs because they utilize a screw lock for holding the keitechs and it works much better. The other day I got into a school of 15 to 17 inches and caught 15 fish on one keitech.
Where did the bigger stripers go??
I haven't got to try those yet, I like the idea of screw lock! That's a ton of fish off one. The most I fish I have got off one would probably be around 6 fish. 15 is crazy, I have to try that. I was out Friday, Saturday and Monday, no big ones. Had a few quick strikes at the glide bait, quite a few on the swim jig. Fished around the same areas and also headed up north past the Rio vista Bridge, no big ones and a bit slower. I am wondering if the fish have moved farther out towards the bay. I want to get out and try just to see if maybe they have moved.
@@DDFishingCo in my humble opinion screw lock keepers are the was to go for paddle tail swim baits. I have a bunch of the CA swim jigs but with those keepers they use I just go through too many baits.
I was out Monday also and fished from big break to mcavoys area and while I caught 50 fish only 7 were keepers! Biggest only 23 inches. I just don't get why the average size has gotten so small? Just a few years back 4 to 8lb fished seemed pretty common, now they are the exception for me anyway.
Good job on your videos. I like the format.
@@craigtanner7189 I’ll have to give those a shot. Screw lock sounds awesome! That’s not a bad day but dang only 7 keepers! I agree with you. It’s been an odd year for stripers. The sizes seemed to be down this year. I am used to catching quiet a few in the 4-8lb range like you said however that wasn’t the case for me this year. Hope to see you out there sometime!
Great footage and what an amazing striper!!! What general area on the delta was this??? Delta always looks so good - thanks for sharing man! Subbed!
Thanks Matty for watching the video! This was below the rio vista bridge between Suisun Area up to Antioch. They have been all around those areas.
Nice video quality, what camera do you use?
Thank you!! Canon R5
@@DDFishingCo thnx
@@DDFishingCo do you record it at 4k or 8k?
@@ia6980 I record at 4k, it can do 8k, however I think its too much data for YT videos.
Wish you guys out west could see whats happening in Jersey right now, absolute bedlam
I have seen some posts on Instagram. It looks absolutely insane!
Do you think there’s a chance I could get a big striper in the delta right now? Since the run is technically over
Yes, September, October, and November are great months to catch them. The big one in the video was caught in October.
Can you list the upgrades you did on youre stratos. I have a 96 201 pro xl and been researching upgrades
That's awesome you have a stratos! I bought a 8" Jack plate from Bobs Machine shop, powder coated in white. I removed all the carpet and had seadek installed. The boat came with a 112lb trolling motor from minn Kota. I had a custom poling tower built for my boat so I can push around quietly in the shallow water. I want to get some power poles! I also have the basic stuff like graphs ect. I did remove the passenger console. I like having more room in the boat!
What part of the delta are you fishing ?
Mostly the east delta, below the rio vista bridge down to Pittsburg.
It's hard to leave when ur killing it
So hard! Could have stayed in the dark for hours!
What’s the dipping jell/sauce?
It’s garlic dip n dye they sell it at most tackle shops
Any tips for searching on maps?
I would look for areas where you can find current breaks, tule points, or even grass points. Striped bass travel looking for bait, so sometimes they just sit out in the current on open water. If you target areas like points, tule points or structure, it’s a good place for the fish to pin bait up against it. It give the bait less room to run and easier for the fish to go after that bait. If you can find flats between looking at maps and maybe Navionics those are good areas too.
@@DDFishingCo Ok thanks. I tried it this weekend and it was great
@@finoistimeless that’s awesome how many you catch?
@@DDFishingCo Two people with limits, culled out a couple. Nice bass too. Nothing on your swim jig, but the jerkbait got the school fired up
@@finoistimeless That's awesome!
What lures?
Dirty Jigs California Swim Jig, citrus shad. 1/2ounce 4.3 kietech for the trailer. The glide bait was a baitsanity A9
If you don’t mind, what is the name of the boat launch you are using ?
Brannan Island Boat Launch. Its only open weekends at the moment.
Nice catch🫡
Thanks!
If your baits are getting torn apart....use Mend-it. Problem solved
That’s a great tip I love mend it!
Where did you launch at please ?
Brannan Island Boat Launch, its only open on the weekends right now.
What part of the delta is this? We should hook up sometime and hit the water check out my channel brother
Mid Delta, above Suisun below rio vista! I would love to connect sometime!
