I lost almost everything ,my faith, my sense of well being, peace, sleep, self respect, positivity, my career, money, trust, hope. It's insidious people, happened by degrees. This is true. I would like to see churches that have singles groups to deliberately promote CHRISTIAN COURTSHIP, and explain the difference between Christian courting vs. worldly dating. In the Bible I do not see men & women loosely dating but I do see examples of men & women honorably courting one another. We've been together for 3 years, we've to the best of our ability, by God's grace, determined that we are compatible and we know that we want to live life together. The alternative is just to abstain and keep intimacy for marriage. Start knowing a person for who they are and get to know them the way you do with a friend. I need prayer for a Godly sign as to whether to stay in my relationship. We have one child and one older who isn't his. We live together and he has become my eldest child's father as her biological father is not around. We love each other of course, I am Christian he is not. To be honest, I think you know the answer to your own question. He doesn't agree with your beliefs. There needs to be a leap of faith and walk with God, even if it's unknown. He does not want you to fail, but only to succeed and prosper. God isn't the one telling you to stay and wait until he wants to marry you, God won't have you stay in sin where he cannot dwell. Deep down, I think you know this. I know it's hard, but as your boyfriend is pushing for sex, can you honestly say you won't eventually give in? Your salvation is more imporant than hoping for a man to marry you as you have a kid together. Sometimes walking away is just what's needed to save your salvation, and your inheritance in Christ.
In less you’re speaking of your wife (in which you are to pray for the unbelieving spouse) your heart is also not submitted to God - because when it is you love him with all your heart which is manifested in living out his word- such as keeping his commandments, dying to self (flesh) and picking up your cross daily, all which will cause you to not be UNEQUALLY YOKED WITH UNBELIEVERS. This is true. I would like to see churches that have singles groups to deliberately promote CHRISTIAN COURTSHIP, and explain the difference between Christian courting vs. worldly dating. In the Bible I do not see men & women loosely dating but I do see examples of men & women honorably courting one another. Two divorces later, I’m starting to try to understand Christian courting principles 🙏🏽♥️
This is so true, I'd jump way too fast into physical an then feelings an then when we both realized we were both miserable an couldn't be fixed then only thing we did besides letting go of each other which we didn't want to do for a while was go back into the bed bedroom. We've been together for 3 years, we've to the best of our ability, by God's grace, determined that we are compatible and we know that we want to live life together. But right now, I don't have the finances to get married, I'm not even talking about a wedding.
I still live with my folks, who refuse to support me until I finish college next year, and there aren't that many jobs available for me to do. I desire marriage because I believe what God says about it. I'm waiting, but it's getting very exhausting.

So im glad i came across this and the part that got me is where he urges the ladies to see the man for who he is on the inside. Tbh, ive screwed things up and I've felt that ladies (even Christian ones) won't care about the kind of man i am on the inside. If a woman is caring about me having a perfect past, it's not the woman i want in my life.

Never get married is the best option. Or at least never let the state recognize your marriage, just get married in a church wedding. I’m not sure if he means physical meaning sex first or just being attracted. But being attracted to someone is typically what happens because you see the person before you hear them. We can’t demonize attraction BUT you absolutely have to have the wisdom to go deeper. Many people have sex WAY too soon.

No thats not what he is saying. Physical attraction is part of the relationship but it should never be the only thing you think about in women. For example you got a really pretty girls phone number, send her a bible verse or smth see how she responds and if that response is smth that proves shes a Christian then thats a good start to figuring out her faith.

I know what the wrong way to date is but I don't understand what the alternative is.
I need the grace of God to keep me away from temptation and to guide me towards a lasting relationship.
The alternative is just to abstain and keep intimacy for marriage. Start knowing a person for who they are and get to know them the way you do with a friend. Have the conversations about your faith and find the middle ground. Learn to love them for who they are and strengthen each others faith. Start building up that relationship and spend more time together and figure out whether marrying that person is right.
See the world the process in this order: meet, sex, seriously date, marriage.
Whereas you should meet, seriously date and get to know them, get married, and then have sex. The pastor in the message is just trying to say that.

Exactly… I just commented this. We can’t tell someone to not be attracted to a person or force someone to date a person they are not attracted to. The word of God even talks a bite how beautiful or handsome a person was. That’s not a bad thing, but are right it will not carry that relationship.

It does, the same you "new items" become old. People age, people's appearance changes. The physical is always changing. The heart and soul are where you should be looking. Never the physical. Solomon learned this the hard way after the majority of his life was focused on the material world.
I need prayer for a Godly sign as to whether to stay in my relationship. We have one child and one older who isn't his. We live together and he has become my eldest child's father as her biological father is not around.
We love each other of course, I am Christian he is not. God has told me to stop having sex out of marriage. My partner is often nearly at breaking point because of this. Lack of intimacy is breaking everything for him. I feel like God has given me an insight in His plans which is to persevere until this man is ready to marry. But it's so hard as we're having constant problems and my partner says the route of these problems is the lack of intimacy. I need a clear sign - I need to know God wants me to continue in this because I'm ready to throw it away. I would be so so sad and our family would be torn apart.

That's a tough one, wish l could give you definitive advice, the Christian part of me would say preservere & try and explain thus to him. He's not going to die if he doesn't have sex with you. Plus what's with the lack of commitment when you have a child together? Are one or both wanting to "keep your options open" or is it doing the "modern" thing. Actually being married isn't that much more complicated than living together , plus you have God's blessings wgen you marry , God Bless
To be honest, I think you know the answer to your own question. He doesn't agree with your beliefs. There needs to be a leap of faith and walk with God, even if it's unknown. He does not want you to fail, but only to succeed and prosper.
God isn't the one telling you to stay and wait until he wants to marry you, God won't have you stay in sin where he cannot dwell. Deep down, I think you know this. I know it's hard, but as your boyfriend is pushing for sex, can you honestly say you won't eventually give in? Your salvation is more imporant than hoping for a man to marry you as you have a kid together. Sometimes walking away is just what's needed to save your salvation, and your inheritance in Christ.

In less you’re speaking of your wife (in which you are to pray for the unbelieving spouse) your heart is also not submitted to God - because when it is you love him with all your heart which is manifested in living out his word- such as keeping his commandments, dying to self (flesh) and picking up your cross daily, all which will cause you to not be UNEQUALLY YOKED WITH UNBELIEVERS. Believe God, trust God and and YOU submit your heart to God truly.

This is the reason our Heavenly Father loves us so much that in the bible we're to be "equally yoked." I got saved after I got married the 1st time & really tried to work our marriage but I had to get a Order of Protection sacred when a alcoholic has a gun scaring you. I was praying he'd change but things never did. I married again & again things didn't work because when you hear what he wants you to hear like, "I go to church but only as much as I can because that's my only day off." LADIES & GENTELMEN if God opens the door for you, the Holy Spirit speaks to you speak to your Pastor that church is a Bible believing church together. God hates divorce. My heart has been broken & I made so many poor choices I don't want you to make the wrong choice. Proverbs chapter 3 verse 5 is easy to remember but true. ✝️🛐🙏❤
