This is sad. A simple Google search of legitimate Catholic sources will debunk everything he says (in this day and age of info. being available at all times, which makes this whole video something out of the 1950s). For a better understanding using YTube: Shameless Popery (Does ex-Catholic expose teachings of the Catholic Church). As a starter, how can Catholics preach a false Gospel if the Catholic Church instituted (gathered the inspired Word of God through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, not created or declared inspired by the Catholic Church...these books were already inspired through the Holy Spirit) the 27 books of the New Testament that Catholics AND Protestants still use to this day? With regards to baptism, Matthew 28:19 clearly states the order that Jesus gave "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Mark 16-15 "...Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." Even Jesus himself was baptized. Also, what does he mean by "keeping the Law"? You mean the 10 Commandments? And yes, we should strive to be perfect. Matthew 5:48 "Be ye perfect, even as your father which is in heaven is perfect." And Catholics can only be saved through Grace (Sola Gratia). Catholic Catechism (#s1987-2029) Also, Catholics venerate Mary, not worship her. It explicitly states in the Catholic Catechism #480 "Jesus Christ is true God and true man, in the unity of his divine person; for this reason he is the one and only mediator between God and men." This debunks the insufficient saviour claim. Mary does have a prominent role in Catholicism (Catholic Catechism #963-975). I can keep going, but it would drag on. Please consult: history, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, or a good Catholic apologist/expert (i.e. Scott Hahn, Patrick Madrid, Jimmy Akin, Joe Heschmeyer, Trent Horn, John Bergsma, Tim Staples, etc)

@honsville So before you think I'm a nut case, ask yourself: What does the bible say about free will. It is always about the sin nature that you will have in you until you die or Jesus comes back. The bible teaches that God Plans and does EVERYTHING. You have nothing to do with it. So if you are going to go by your feelings or what you have been told in the past, find out what the bible really says about it. If you have free will, then why don't you use it to never sin again? Show me a person that says they have free will and I'll show you a sinner. Show me the sinner and I'll show you the person that does NOT have free will. WHY isn't free will discussed in the bible? IT IS. It is just in the negative sense all the time. Just because you think you make a choice on something, does NOT mean that you have free will. Your sin nature controls you. The only thing that you have to combat it, is the Holy Spirit. The verse says, "Walk by means of the Spirit and you will not carry out the lust of the flesh". Your personal desires are always controlling you. That is why God says to use the Spirit all day long as a habit of life, so that you don't do what comes natural to you. That is the NATURAL MAN. Next: Romans 8:29-30 God planned everything out ahead of time. He knew what he was going to do, before he did it. He predestined everything including US. Those things that God lists about us, Predestined, Sanctified, Justified, and Glorified, are ALL in the Greek verb tense called the AORIST TENSE. That means, in a moment in time. He did it ONCE. Therefore he did ALL of those things to me at the very time I was saved and born again, except Predestined. He did that one, before the world was made. Look at your new bible. There should be an X next to all of those words meaning it is in the AORIST tense of the verbs. Therefore YOU are NOT involved in any of the process. God did it ALL for me. I had NOTHING to do with it. Therefore God gets all the Glory. There is NO free will involved, EVER. So do not mix personal opinions that everyone has given you, with what the bible actually says. So what were those verses that you disagree with me, about? Let's iron this out and take a good hard look at it. There are far too many people that claim free will and they also claim that they can lose their salvation. If THAT is the case, they were never born again to begin with. They think they can "out sin" Grace. Therefore they never had it. That is what Hebrews 6:1-8 is all about. Those people never had the Spirit in the first place. They saw it in action and they read about it and they talked about it with believers, AND THEY REJECT IT. Look at verse 9. It says, "BUT". This a contrast. The word BELOVED is only used of believers. Therefore Paul is telling you the difference between the two. ALSO: the Hebrew words of, "SINNING WILLFULLY", IS NOT about sinning on purpose or because you want to. Those words are a Hebrew phrase that means you are bringing the WRONG KIND of offering to God. That is why it says there is no longer any other type of offering that is acceptable to God unto repentance. This is all about the OLD testament offerings from the LAW. They are bringing the wrong Jesus. He is "Another of a different kind" of Jesus. There are two words in Greek for "ANOTHER". #1 another of a different kind and #2 is another of the SAME KIND. Take a hard look at 1cor12:8-11. The word "ANOTHER" is used over and over again. That is because Paul changes the meaning of the word, "Another" EVERY time he uses it. So unless you know which word is being used, you will misinterpret the verse EVERY TIME. Paul is grouping certain types of gifts into categories. One group is of one KIND of gift, and ANOTHER is a different kind of gift. Follow? This is why a LOT of people do not understand what the bible is saying, in many places. They have no Greek learning and they have a hard time with the English too. Charismatics make up their own ideas as to what the bible is saying and they are DEAD wrong. They hang themselves out to dry with their false teachings. They contradict themselves, just like I told you about edifying themselves. Anyhow, let's take a look at what you are having a problem with in order to put you on the right path and understanding. Let's get these things in CONTEXT and match scripture with scripture.

My former pastor's mentors are Copeland and Hagin. Hence "former". Unfortunately my family and friends still go to that church. Some people put for too much focus on healing and stand on verses like "by his stripes we are healed". I haven't heard of one 120 year old pentacostal. By their teaching they should be everywhere.

I grew up in a Catholic School, and their teachings do not teach this at all. Not at all! How sad that we as Christians fight with each other, rather than unite and stand by each other.

You do something here to follow Jesus not only faith, it is not your faith that follow Jesus it is you that walk along with Jesus because you belive in Him. As a 60 year old I would offer that this is the problem with the church today. I was not taught the value of sound doctrine as a teenager and consequently have not taught it to my children and the students I’ve worked with in youth ministry. Shame on us. We don’t know what we don’t know. We have allowed ourselves to be deceived for too long and are witnessing 2 Timothy 4:3-4. It’s time to get back to the basics of sound doctrine with repentance, faith, and obedience. Pray for mercy and grace. Steady on!

I’m so dissapointed on how your swaying the people of God away from the manifestation of the Holy Spirit, but I’m not very worried since I know there are many Believers who believe in personal tongues, healing and deliverance and other manifestations of the Holy Spirit.
