I think this cover is totally nuts and this guy is a crazy good player. But I don't think he has such good economy. Not that this is important, because i feel like there are a lot of guitarists that dont have a good economy of motion, but are still really fast and precise players,such as this guy. But if you wanna see some crazy economy of motion check out rick graham on yt. I am not saying that I am an expert at guitar, and my comment should not be seen as critique because that guy is amazing,I just want to show you another great yt guitarist you might like/ who might blow your mind : D

@@lxxwj Practice NEW STUFF every week AND practice every day for 6+ hours. Staying uncomfortable and learning new stuff that you can't do yet is key. I struggle with it because it's easy to play the shit that you already know and jam over changes you already mastered. One thing I do is write down on a list the things I need/want to learn and always start the practice sesh with something from that list. Then I get to improvising because it's more fun and maybe also a little easier.
As a random guy on the internet take this as seriously as you like. But as a fully realized jazz guitarist it's actually not that hard if you transcribe solos and learn tunes all the time! But the fact this solo translates to guitar with considerable ease is astonishing i agree!
I can't imagine learning something this hard and not memorizing it along the way lol I'd be way more impressed if he was reading this off a page, like "yea I've played it a couple times, I got the gist of it". (Not that I'm not already really impressed)

He has a unique combination of advanced harmony modern classical, soundtrack music but he's also a guitarist with thorough knowledge of rock and jazz. Maybe you could do a collaboration. He could write the piece and also backing music, maybe something symphonic sounding , soundtrack type orchestrations. Also a collaboration with Charles Berthoud. or maybe all three of you.
TBF, there are some patterns that are easier on the guitar than the keys. Like the descending chord patterns that only just change frets. Even though that says how crazy Henry's solo is, this is still CRAZY HARD.
