Holdsworth is the top of the mountain dude. I've never, ever seen anyone play Holdsworth this clean. So inspiring, I can barely stand it.

Shawn was brilliant and legendary but no, Holdsworth was at the top.
That's musical genius. It's the equivalent of a physics professor calmly writing out lengthy equations to solve the universe while you're struggling to remember basic algebra.
I can't wrap my head around how someone even learns a piece like this. Well done you legend.

I discovered you two days ago. I’m a professional jazz drummer who plays some rock and blues guitar. You might just be my favorite jazz guitarist I’ve ever seen. No matter what you play, you remain calm and seem to have a bit of a smile going on. And I hear your musical voice so clearly. I would absolutely love to play drums with you someday

Seeing a young genius like Josh play might lead you to hang your axe on a nail for good. In actual fact it caused me to re-start playing after the best part of 10 years AND start taking piano lessons. So thanks man, you inspire people.
This is an interesting take on the piece. I saw Allan twice, live at club gigs. I spoke with him both times afterwards. Deeply humble but profoundly self-critical of his performances. There are a lot of notes here and unbelievable how much facility this player has. I can tell you that AH used as much space as notes. If you listen to sax players it's because of breathing. Like sentences, and paragraph breaks. The sheer emotion and life lived with highs and lows was all over his phrasing and fire in playing. Maybe this take is a sign of new approaches that allow more linear flow of notes. The speed of course is impressive. Few people could do this song in the exact style. Nor would it be important. I like that it's a Tele with humbuckers. Nice.

Man, the sound of a guitar *really* being played like this is incredible. This, as opposed to other guitarists who have neat compositional ideas, but lack the technique and fake their playthroughs (and lie about it). You're a prodigy, dude. Thanks for all the hard work you've clearly put into the instrument.

Wow, I am flabbergasted by you’re incredible musicianship. Didn’t know who you were. I got one of those sample feeds from UA-cam and now I’m hooked. You have a gift from GOD. Perfect left hand technique, right hand is totally synced and you’re brain is wired to handle the amount of musical information coming in. I’m stunned. 😲😲😲
I suppose it’s a gift, but I think what he has done with that gift is the more impressive part. I mean, listen to what he was playing a few years ago (with his dad), and what he’s playing now. Talent isn’t as rare as people think-it’s people who take that talent and work their asses off to cultivate it-that’s the rare thing.
You both got so much talents, totally amazing boys. Keep up the good work 👍
