Even though the sections broke apart when you took them out of the mold, did it help you align them when doing the final join? Kind of like gluing a broken vase where the bits are keyed due to the ragged edges.
Not really, I sanded off the white goop and glued four tabs on one side of the joint which over lapped to the other part.This helped keep it in place so I could use panel lines to line up the front to back fuse parts. Then I taped the parts together and added the inside joint tape. Same for the nose section. Looks fab now.
