Id make the strut tube's from Alum. PLA is strong and fairly tough but will degrade with UV and moisture exposure. PETG or ASA are good choice. If it were me I'd machine em. 3D printed will work, until it fails. Cool design! You could probably get some test flight/landing with the PLA.

If you are worried about strength PETG might be better. You can also get Fibre infused filament. I have never considered 3D printed landing gear, yours looks great

Great work! One word of caution about your landing gear. You can see @ 1:34 that the wheel axle pivots way up, and the "knee" of the gear is now the lowest point. That knee can impact the ground. This was a big issue on the Gen 1 Hangar 9 MB 339. The "fix" was to add a piece of rod to limit the movement. Hope that helps!

Brilliant. Love your work. I prefer to 3D print my moulds directly thanks to watching others like Ramy RC, and produced a 2 seat spitfire a couple of years ago using this technique (ua-cam.com/video/H-IiGVxXOl8/v-deo.html). I built a Eurofighter from the Grumania Jets kit and it is great to fly. I really fancy building one from the Aerotetris kit next. Loved the video, keep up the good work.

its amazing the strength that 2oz cloth either side of the foam will support. Do you put any through holes in your foam for the resin to penetrate ? I have seen small holes pepper the foam so the resin can seep through to create a through support. Great work, keep the vids coming please, there is a core following that like your videos.

Gorgeous wing construction. I know it is a very good idea to see how strong it is but it still hurts seeing such a beatiful piece of work exposed to stresses thath abnormally high and even up to the point of destruction.

Beautiful work friend!! I would beef up the main spar a small bit , and run it to the tip. Very little weight gain for added strength.

Wonderful series of videos building the cowl, thanks for making them! So, the very front of the cowl is essentially micro balloons? I am sure your cowl weighs a little more, but should be more robust.
