You are God of composites)
Many that's for sharing your experience. Keep up the great work
great video but we all know thats hours and hours and month of work. Great to see, look forward tot he next one.
To true, the Euro was around 4000 hrs all told
Brilliant. Love your work. I prefer to 3D print my moulds directly thanks to watching others like Ramy RC, and produced a 2 seat spitfire a couple of years ago using this technique (ua-cam.com/video/H-IiGVxXOl8/v-deo.html). I built a Eurofighter from the Grumania Jets kit and it is great to fly. I really fancy building one from the Aerotetris kit next. Loved the video, keep up the good work.
Thx for the video excellent. The last several years I have been using CAD and printing most of my plugs/
Many thanks for this video. When you get a chance can you also make a video about your CAD process? I'm especially interested in how to model the wing root fillet, the wing and empennage tips and the tip of the nose. I find these features quite challenging to model Thanks
No problem. Coming very soon will be a super scale MB-339. This will be all 3D Cad [currently] in design phase. So keep watching for this build series
Wow, excellent work! Do you sale any kits?
I would if people would pay the appropriate price for hand built models. They expect to pay 500 bucks like a quick build foamy. BTY I'm subscribed on your channel great content.
@@britcharming Thank you and yes a lot people do expect foamy prices. They do not understand all the work that goes into a model like that. You are very talented!
How much does it weight
approx 1.5 its per wing panel
I was worried that I'd have to dial 911 for a second there!
me too... laugh
What brand Epoxy laminating resin are you using from aero marine.. 300 or 400?
resin 300 hardner 21
What is the weight of the wing panel. Great videos BTW.
I think they are about 1.5 lbs per panel with flaps and ailerons... no servos
Nice job, what's the weight of that part? Looks like 70-80 gramms.
Olha meu amigo como vc faz os moldes dos aero
It's way too strong! No need for any more reinforcement!
its amazing the strength that 2oz cloth either side of the foam will support. Do you put any through holes in your foam for the resin to penetrate ? I have seen small holes pepper the foam so the resin can seep through to create a through support. Great work, keep the vids coming please, there is a core following that like your videos.
Yes for the holes, I use a spiked roller for use on carpet joints.
Gorgeous wing construction. I know it is a very good idea to see how strong it is but it still hurts seeing such a beatiful piece of work exposed to stresses thath abnormally high and even up to the point of destruction.
Like I said these wings looked horrid being the first made
Beautiful work friend!! I would beef up the main spar a small bit , and run it to the tip. Very little weight gain for added strength.
Very interesting construction, are you going to experiment with some other constructions? and what is the weight compared to the construction you would normaly use?
No more experiments. So far this method works great on the Tucano and A6 Intruder
Excellent! Be careful not to hurt yourself. What state/province are you located in?
I,m in Fernley Nevada
Thanks for the video, where did you vacuum the glass over in order to get the canopy? Did you use directly the canopy master plug and use it also to build the mould for the fiberglass "frame"?
I made a heavy walled mold from the plug. Then I removed the canopy section from the plug ready for fuse layup. Used a home made vac former for the glass.
Olá gostaria de ver vc fazer os moldes dos aeromodelo
Top work!!
Maravilhoso, Parabéns.🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🙏👍

nice to see a scratch builder. I have done a big DC-3 on year 2 now. I made a weather version still working on the flying version. Making wing molds. I learned a few tips from you THANKS! I used to build boats did my own tooling Plugs etc... studio.ua-cam.com/users/video8SI6t1Wldak/edit
That’s an amazing job!! Incredible, congratulations
Great Video, i build a Corsair A7 that way at the time
Wow. outstanding detail and methods. well done Sir.
정말 수고하셨습니다 ^^
Video too fast , for enjoy of this very beautifull model.
go to my playlist and see all the detail builds
I immediately tune out when I hear that shit-music in this video! All unrest. As if there was no choice…
@britcharming well TKS
Your videos helped me make my 1st mold, thanks!
Great tutorial, Can I ask how much time do you leave between layers … I have recently bought a mould so will be making a few copies in the new year. Thanks
For a none detailed layup, you can just do all the layers at once. For the super detail like the Tucano. I did the 3/4 oz cloth over the detail and let cure over night or until stiff. Reason for this is the second layer was moving the detail cloth and ruining the part. Hope this helps.
Wonderful series of videos building the cowl, thanks for making them! So, the very front of the cowl is essentially micro balloons? I am sure your cowl weighs a little more, but should be more robust.
how did you make the mould?
Some of the videos in my plat list show this.
Where did you get the molds?
I made them
@britcharming how?
👍👍🤘😍
Yeah me too. I want one also. Looks Amazing!!!
Superb !!!
Thanks
Absolutely amazing. ! Pretty work. A lost skill for sure !!
Thanks for watching
When are you going to sell Kits? I would like the A6 also.
I was going to do kits but the cost is prohibitive being hand made.
Would like to see how you made the plug for the mould.
In a couple of weeks I will be posting a new build series which will cover everything from A to Z on the MB-339
Thank you. That would be helpful.
Good Music Bro!
You have my attention, amazing work sir . About to watch some more of your videos!
Thanks
and what is the white glue u r using ?
Not glue it is a mix of resin and microspheres to thicken the resin for both details coverage and or gluing the parts together
sir can we use mold release waxinstead of pva release agent?
Yes you can. However with just wax then the plug that you will be using for the mold must be near perfect and shiny or the part can grab and be ruined
What do you do to make sure the gel coat doesn't have air bubbles after applying to plug?
You can use a heat gun but in most cases a good brushing does not have air bubbles
You are doing great job 👏
Thanks
A year late to the party, but glad I found you. Thanks for making these videos
