I’d really love to see a dedicated build on this truck, not for speed but for having the best towing ability and crash protection possible. I know it’s not the spotlight of the channel but it still deserves it for sure, there’s a TON of stuff that wouldn’t have been possible on this channel without that truck.
If he wanted that he would have to go completely against the look he wants, so I doubt it would happen
its already pretty built and more than capable of anything they would need to tow, has an aftermarket brake controller, leveling kit, exhaust, tow hitch setup, wheels, tires, lights, bumper, grille, tint, dashcam, all that shit already...plus that bumper is already meant to be better in a crash and have replaceable parts. That bumper definitely helped the truck come out a lot better from that last crash than the stock one would have(as shown by what it did previously)
@@Shadow0fd3ath24 idk if you’re well versed on trucks but this doesn’t have an aftermarket exhaust, the things stock emissions, no delete no nothing. Aftermarket brake controller? Literally no need it comes stock with one, tow hitch setup? Again, that’s all stock. Front bumper isn’t great, as we’ve seen it didn’t protect much, if he really wanted one to be able to take a hit and ruin nothing unless he totaled the truck in general he needs a ranch hand
Needs a better wheel set up for sure
Definitely agree and I'd love to see him get his awesome bumpers paint matched to the gloss black
Honestly, a goonsquad style project for you guys would be cool asf. Get a totaled viper or something then build it up would be a great little side series
1st day offering to be Gavin’s new painter, 🤙🏽
Paint your front bumper first
I'm trying to be his in house technician 😂
@@acm_1028 that he crazy tho
@@G35.caiden I'm tired of seeing all his projects not get finished
I already am 🫤
Thought I’d throw something in here. I’m certain those hubs with the removable center rubber cap are meant for gear oil, NOT grease. I’ve serviced heavy trailers meant for backhoe transportation of which are hauled by dump trucks. A good majority of these trailers have this clear hub nut with a rubber center cap setup. It’s meant to allow you to check and top up the gear oil level during pretrip inspection.
Hubs that use grease are either a traditional cap that gets hammered on or an end cap with a grease zerk fitting in the center. The grease would get you by, but these hubs actually need gear oil.
I second this. I'm sure grease will still be fine, but he needs to do away with the center caps in the trailer rims !! You need to be able to see what's going on with those trailer hubs (especiallyif they are oil filled). If he didn't have those center caps, he would have seen the previous bearing failure long b4 the wheel come off, in the form of grease being all over the wheel.
I have a set of vortex hubs on a boat trailer and they are designed for traditional grease and have a threaded end cap like those in the video.
3rd This as well. It's supposed to take gear oil, as it also has a little fill whole with a cap in the wheel seal to fill. Grease will be fine, but I dont think it'll have nearly as long longevity as gear oil would. Most high speed lubricants are usually oils and not grease like diff oil.
55ft lbs seemed awfully tight. We usually run our bearings a hair loose. Keep and eye on bearing temps so it doesn't burn up.
I said the same thing in my head. We run them hand tight. He might blow a seal out.
Same here
If its like an old style bearings then it is way too tight it should spin free after tightening... these wheels will fly away I guess preety soon
I think it's 55ft lbs and then you back off a turn, something like that
@@jkane121 preety much as Im setting em I tighten em as you said +- at that range and loosen 90° it should stay quite tight but it lets bearings spin almost without any resistance
Hell ya Gavin twice in a week! Let's goooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!
Sending love from Louisiana! Keep up the work for everyone on the team
Second half of vid, working in his slippers hahaha, never change Gavin, great to have you back ❤
Very happy to see you back and much more relaxed, Gavin! That truck is baddass! The video quality is much improved as well!
Girth is once again looking SICK! Those tail lights really compliment the back end 🔥 Don't get crash-happy and start plowing into people again 🤣
Oum😂
Should definitely do all the chrome in black chrome👀
It’d look great black chromed
I love how this has unintentionally turned into a series.
Love seeing Gavin back in action 🥹🥹🥹
I really happy to see the hands on videos again i missed you guys
Like the new editing! You seem super happy and that’s awesome to see keep up the content 🙏🏼
Excited for these uploads
Itsjusta6 Awesome Video I'm glad Girth and your Trailer are all fixed up ready for your Big Trip and I think Girth's New Headlights,Taillights and Front Grill look Absolutely incredible
keep up the good work gavin!
Finally this thing gets some love
The work slippers 👌🔥
My boy back on track 🦾🦾
Seriously digging the red Make Racing Great Again hoodie 👌
back to watching my favorite videos !!!
🥱
Noiice! Those tail lights look sick
Truck is looking sick man, also I feel your pain on having to change out those trailer bearings - always fun
Love the vid bro keep it up
New editing looks sickk
I Drive long trips would recommend putting that other hub on the other side will change rotating forces on one wheel because the rest are new hubs on other side will cause a blow out!! GAVIN!! Or just take a extra hub on the road with tires
Beautiful truck
josh with the nice edits:)
Love the video keep up the good work
Make sure you service the crankcase breather as well
If the Morimoto boost bar is available for that year, it is a MUST HAVE for backing up at night. Worth every penny
The video editing is on point. Hopefully the last time the truck needs a rebuild!
I don’t know how long I’ve been watching, but I remember the video of you buying the black car, and yet I still get excited when you post another video
Now some chrome exhaust tips and that truck is the cleanest f350 you’ll see
Yoooo Gavin !! 🙌🏼
Awesome video!!! Also do you still have your gtr?
Morimoto also has a third brake light, I HIGHLY recommend it. I've had one on my 2016 Silverado for a few months now and have no complaints, especially with my truck being black it just makes it look so clean
Keep up the good work man…
A wreck rebuild would be dope
The Goonzquad brothers seem to do some good work!
wait...i thought you quit youtube? love seeing this rebuild....again. honestly regardless of having to do it over and over. it's still fun to take a break and just do stuff like this rather than building a car.
Check alignment and adjust your headlights...👍🏼
That truck is so damn clean we just need to get a magnum rack and LED switch backs for the mirrors and LED roof lights
Do a full delete, it will help the truck SO MUCH
He’s near Atlanta I’d say emissions wouldn’t have that
All that dust on the fender had me thinking it was forged carbon for a good minute 😂, imagine that tho, whole front end in Forged Carbon 👀
Let’s go man!
I love that hoodie. I wear mine almost every day!
Loved the goonzquad reference. I haven't watched them in years. A rebuild as a give away car would pretty cool. I'd watch.
A N/A 10 speed build would go crazy
Poe looks like he is placing a weld with that glue
dont loose sight was my senior quote
the 6 logo in the back is awesome
LETS GOOO!
Fuck it’s good to see Gavin’s notifications again 😂
been watching since you first got the giveaway viper been 3 years keep up the vids🙌
Make sure replace your plastic oil filter housing with the fleece one so your truck doesn’t catch on fire !
I would recommend filling each of the bearings with more grease. Just for that extra lubricant, I’ve had countless people come into the shop(as I’m a mechanic) with bad bearings because of lack of grease.
A lift kit and some extra power would be nice for this Ute I can’t wait to see what’s next for it keep it up mate never lose sight
That truck looks good. The ooooonly thing I would say it’s missing is a spray bed liner.
Now some paint matched mirror caps and third brake light and maybe even an aux reverse light
WE GO AGAAAIIN
Never clicked on a notification so fast
Love the videos been watching for 5 years now!! Quick question tho Where is the GTR???
Should have gotten a real big steel bumper that sticks out more , you made the same mistake as last time , congratz
YESSS
Man you are just having the worst luck when it comes to accidents and this rig!
Hey brother, trailer tip on hubs, don’t tighten those castle nuts to much
@8:04 Buttprints on the camaro! Lol
Are you going to upgrade brakes along with the 37s + lift?
That’s my dream truck man
Me just watching this and see how far Gavin has came from the beginning and at 11:20 in the video you can see a blue stinger kinda like his moms and me just remembering him racing that is crazy I hope you have a safe trip and thanks for the awesome content
Hey Gavin I saw you replay to my comment and i just want to say I love your videos I’m only 12 years old and I’m trying to start my channel and be come a all time UA-camr and I just want to say thinks for the sick videos I can’t wait to see another video on the trip and the cars my dad has a 2022 Shelby and it is gonna get a whipped in the next few days so I liked your videos on the gt500 you had and I miss watching them thanks again for the sick vids
@Te.le-gr.am_Gavin_itjusta6
Yall needa do the amber light setup like cleeters got on his raptor. That would honestly be perfect for that rig
Yeaaaa shout out to @ goonzquad. You and them ate my 2 favorite channels❤❤❤
That grille is sick aff, it wouldve been a nice finishing touch if the white ford letters on the badge lit up too
This video is what your starting the weeks of videos form your drive
Truck looks awesome, those headlights, grill and tail lights look incredibly good. Don't ruin it with those big dumb wheels though man
Gavin really do be sayin dude in every sentence or every other one when they putting the grill on 😂
5+ years later and still doing install videos 😂😂😂 and we watch them
Also I’m really surprised the “exhaust ain’t fell off” so it sounds better
1st day of offering to come be Gavin’s new mechanic 👋
Hopefully 2nd time is the charm 😂
Brother, if you're driving that trailer 5k miles over the next few weeks. I highly recommend checking those hubs, once you get to the west coast, and definitely when you get back to Atlanta. That's honestly probably more miles than most.people.will put.on their trailers, in a year... Just to avoid changing a tire or a dang hub on the side of the interstate. Not to mention, the very valuable cars on the inside. Once a year is good to replace stuff, but you really should check those hubs, every single time before you take it any further than, an hr drive.
Never seen tapered bearings torqued like that. Itll be fine
Hopefully you can still haul your trailer after the lift.
What about your third brake light ?? That one is sick too
love the vids
I want to be the first nominee for the tow rig giveaway😂 I need this truck in my life
Bro pulled up and the whole car meet mobbed to his truck 😅😅😅
I hope you set up a car meet in Oklahoma ! I would love to meet you man!!
Round 2 begins 😂😂. Well hopefully nothing happens this time
Round 3 this time 😂 last rebuild was round 2
Well that was an abrupt ending 😂
Gavin Rebuilds.
Don't loose sight every day.
You need a full bumper ranch hand on that thing
I hope you set the preload on the trailer hub, your suppose to 55lb spin it a few times, then re-check it a couple times to verify because it seats the seal
You might want to double check those hubs dude. All around the trailer, 1 your grease fittings should be accessible during pre inspection not blocked by the center cap, 2 the screw on cap if sealed by a o-ring should be torqued and filled with gear oil in the fill bolt you see angled, 3rd check your axle specs for the reason of a faulty hub and long trips I would upgrade to oil hubs not grease they’re more reliable. I always replaced all hubs in such circumstances and not just the ones damaged as you will find yourself doing it anyways momentarily.
One thing, I hope you did bearing preload on the trailer!!
Missed you Gavin and your videos glad you back remember take breaks when needed your mindset is more important and so is your well being excited for the new videos coming!
Needs a ranch hand front bumper
