    Tip for commanders: if you don't have a squad on artillery you will probably have extra munitions. Use your munitions to drop supplies constantly at good potential garrison positions, especially behind enemy lines or areas where your team will advance to. Some of them will get found, but definitely not all of them. Even lazy squad leaders with bad support players are more likely to build those precious garrisons for you when they're walking past a bundle of supplies that's waiting for them.

    • @SoulSniperYT
      @SoulSniperYT  Рік тому +8

      Yea that's a good tip and something I like to do - proactively drop supplies all around. Saves a lot of precious time if you start losing sectors and your garries disappear with them. Supplies already ready to go for building new garries quickly.

    Just started playing commander when my team has lots of players and no commander. All I did was what you recommended in your command video, I asked what squads need and i built garrison. I asked experienced players to fortify and just kept the supplies and garries topped up. I proceeded to win 5 out of 7 games, winning all the ones where i started as commander immediately, even against commanders with far more experience then me. I am level forty and the enemy commanders were level 160 plus. The commendations and praise I got from my team felt great, I even figured out all the powers by the end. My team did everything and i didnt really do much beyond commanding and giving support, its totally different from infantry or armor but it was very fun and rewarding and i leveled commander so fast, like from 0 to the highest level i have in a couple hours 5 i think. Great guides thank you, and the community is so great, i had squad leads teaching me how to command and we executed awesome airheads and some great bombing runs and stuff. Love rhis game and the community in it. Good luck on the battlefield.

    In addition to half-tracks, the Soviet transport truck (the flatbed) can also be used to transport supplies if they're dropped on top of it by the commander. Just make sure the commander zooms all the way in, and drops it on the back half of the map marker for the truck!

    Man your videos are insanely useful. I just recently started with the game and in my first matches I got frustrated because I just died a bunch. Then I watched your video on how not to do that. While watching I thought "all well and good but I didn´t see most of the guys you killed there". But by applying those simple tips I´ve already improved quite a bit. Still die a lot, but at least I do some useful stuff before that happens.
    I´m not that likely to jump into squad lead or commander any time soon, so this video isn´t even immediately useful to me, but its still very interesting and helpful information. So thank you.

    If you play commander remember, it’s not just about communication, but really HOW you communicate.
    Had a commander last night who wouldn’t stop talking, and so every officer eventually left the game because he got annoying.
    But i remember once i had a commander who was generally pretty quiet but when he spoke he was the most polite person possible. Saying stuff like “alright so let’s try to remember to play our roles everyone, it’s super helpful for the team”

    Here's a tip that I should have known since it lost me a game. If you are winning 3-2 on warfare mode with less than 20 minutes left in the game, think twice about building a back side attack garrison because FUCKING EVERY blueberry will spawn on it and you'll end up losing your current point before you can cap the next point. This happened to me and despite me telling the commander to ONLY designate a max of 2 other squads to go on attack, none of them listened and the whole team abandoned all defense, losing us the game.

    I play mostly commander, 1 garrison backup safe point is enough, just leave supplies around, and 2-3 in the currently defensive point; the rest 4-5 should be attack garrisons; attacking is harder than defending, so you must surround the enemy point, also most supply drops should be send far behind enemy lines to prepare for the next point so you can have at least 2 garrisons the moment you capture the point to immediately begin attacking the next in waves; and defend garrisons built with supply trucks; and a lot of players have COD mindset, you must make it so that they can play like they'd COD and go like zombies wave after wave from all directions overwhelming the enemy defenses, so the enemy has no choice but to defend, and the moment they attack they are done for in a cap race we are bound to win. This is good for 2 reasons, you win fast, or lose fast, victory will be determined by KD ratio in this circumstances, if the attacking team can do a 1:1 KD then we got the point... otherwise we get steamrolled, games don't drag a lifetime, 30 minutes average; don't wanna be bored in a stall game, its fast paced; either destroy them, or be destroyed; it surprisingly works, 60% of the time you win.
    Strat gets ruined by hackers nevertheless, it's very weak against it, need a good server as even 1 or 2 hackers can totally mess it up as they have insane KDs, and this strat is 100% dependent on the team KD being about 1 on average, also doesn't work with Soviets, bad tanks, bad weapons; I've found the Band of Brothers server works very well, but in other servers it doesn't work at all due to blatant hackers, MGs killing all the players from ludicrous distances (400m or so) racking up to 1000 points, and they finding every garrison, even defensive ones the moment it is built regardless of the location. And when they are in your team it just starts a weird battle over ludicrious distances, where none wants to cap, hackers stall the game, so a more offensive strat makes you lose, even if you got your own hackers.

    • @HermannLoose
      @HermannLoose 4 місяці тому

      In those cases just pick a point on the map where you think a garry should be built and drop the box in a secluded spot near it. More often than not, a friendly squad leader from another squad will soon pass by and build it, having noticed free supplies on their map.

    Great content, as always. Thanks for that!
    One question just came up when looking at the part where you drop supplies into the river or on roofs: Does the height/depth count in terms of the distance?
    I mean you can only build a garrison up to 50 meters away from the supplies, right? So if the supplies would be in let's say 20 meters height on the roof of a building and I'm directly underneath it, is the distance then 20 meters or is it calculated from a "2D matrix" and the distance is actually 0? Could make a difference whether or not you're able to build a garrison.

    • @SoulSniperYT
      @SoulSniperYT  Рік тому

    As a dyed in the wool engineer, I'd like to point out that when the commander, SL, or whoever drives off with the supply truck to build the first garrisons, they should take an engineer with them. They are only going to be able to build one garrison with each supply drop, leaving 100 supplies unused. The engineer can drop off and build two nodes there. They may not be ideally located and may get taken down by the enemy early in the match, but at least you'll have your initial nodes up and producing.

  • @CriticalPosthumanism
    @CriticalPosthumanism 6 місяців тому

    I am only Lvl 40+ but i always found to use supply trucks for garrisons at the start of the game a bit of a waste.
    They drop 2x150 sup's but a garrison at the start of the game costs only 50 sup's. Thats 100 sup's wasted which could be used for nodes.
    Especially since the supply class can drop those 50 sup's for the garrison.

    • @SoulSniperYT

    Always for me, is the 2x2 capping zone for placement.
    If you're placing a garrison that means you're fighting through 100m of neutral territory then don't do it.
    You should always fight through active cap territory. So often I see teams lose, because even though they're fighting well, they are caught up in neutral territory and the enemy is attacking elsewhere in your live defensive territory.
    So think: "if my guys have to spend 15 minutes fighting from the garrison into the cap territory, little by little, then can your team hold off the enemy attack whilst you're not counting towards the cap?

    • @SoulSniperYT

    Red zone garrisons within 200m for attacking are important with a noob team. If its open then great, everyone floods the point, if its locked, also great, random lonewolves dont all spawn in the middle of nowhere and run arpund uselessly.
    Again, this kinda is best for noob teams. I get fussed at constantly for purposely lacking attack garrisons miles away from points, but when randos spawn in huge waves with no SLs keeping them in line you go from a solid defense and solid map control, to letting the enemy walk right in, in a matter of just a couple minutes.
    This is especially the case when working for the last point. Everyone just becomes attack zombies and the meta of being backcapped to oblivion is all too common.
    I'm aggressive for mid and 4thpoint, beyond that, if recon ismt capping alone, forget it, time to reaccess and regroup

      I've noticed the vibe of the players in the squad often dictates how actively they communicate and coordinate. Sometimes when I'm frustrated or just not feeling the game I get quiet and just kind of do my own thing. I find that oftentimes the rest of the squad kinda matches my energy. Other times I'm feeling more talkative and getting into it more, and that can be quite contagious. You start calling out some targets, making tactical suggestions, cracking a joke once in a while, etc. and suddenly the whole squad is talking and doing the same. Seriously, humor is really effective when it comes to creating some camaraderie and cooperation.

      garrions in locked territory take 6times longer to dismantle ( 30 seconds)

    Fairly new to this game but watching your guides helped alot , I have a question having played a few games of H.L.L .
    Is there "cheats" being used in this game?, I ask as some players seem to know exactly where you are although you've crawled from cover to cover or even in a building & not moving also is there an aim assist "bot" or such as some headshots I get killed with are a little dubious & how quick some players lock onto you & fire is extremely fast & accurate.
    Love the content 👍

    • @SoulSniperYT
      @SoulSniperYT  Рік тому +1

      There are cheats in every game, unfortunately. But to be honest, most of the time when it feels like there's someone cheating, it's just someone in a really good position who is a skilled shooter.

      @@SoulSniperYT Thanks for the prompt reply 👍, personally I don't see the point in playing any game if you need a cheat to prove something.

    • @ummeli2

      Also, people who are genuinely cheating can usually be identified without too much trouble. On the SoulSniper server, we have a number of different ways to check on a player someone accuses of cheating. As Soul (blessed be his name) himself said, it's usually just a really good player. But if it's not, we can almost always tell.

      @@ummeli2 yeah I love the game it's brilliant but honestly it's impossible some of the things that happen as I said earlier I have literally been lying prone behind a bank with a large hedge along it next to a wall & still been found & shot somehow.
      It puts you off playing tbh but it's evened out by some really good tactical players & squads that you know are playing faur are just better players than you are.
      One thing that confuses me a bit is why more people don't "ping" where incoming is coming from it would help loads if everyone did ngl especially if you have the MG42 or a browning set up well to give cover fire.

    Just a tiny detail jumped my eye. At 6:46 you placed the red zone garry too far in enemy territory. You can't build that far back.

      @@SoulSniperYT yeah, absolutely. if there are any red zone garrys built, most of them are far too close to the strongpoints and are locked straight away. in my opinion it should be mandatory to pinch watch your educational vids and those of other content creators to educate all the (new) players, before beeing allowed on the battlefields!

If you don't know what you're doing, ask for help (SoulSniper has an entire video on this).
