love my Alien. If you are limited in the number of pistols, you can own, like me in Germany, you spend your money often for the best pistol, you can afford. I paid 4600 € for the top model. You get also a Red Dot, a very nice range bag and a high quality holster in the package. I dont regret the purchase. The pistol shoots great extremly flat, and it is an eye catcher at the range.
@@wheezzl the $5k one was the SE with only 500 made they haven't released the MSRP for the production model yet it will most likely be around the $3k mark. once they ramp up production it most likely will come down but even then there comp spec guns and are not pumped out like Glocks. if they made a duty spec model or licensed out a a duty spec model that could be pumped out like Glocks they probably could compete price wise. IMO they should make a full auto version of the production model with a few 100rd drum mags and give it to Iraqveteran8888 to do a meltdown video.

The second problem is the reciprocating slide. It needs to not hit our hand during recoil. What if only half of the slide reciprocated back, during recoi, kinda like a KelTec design. You could even make it recoil back, on a slight upwards angle, to prevent it from hitting the hand. I've got it pictured in my head, but it's hard to explain. I think handgun design is about to make a huge leap forward.
heizer defense did it before alien a couple years back . Its nothing revolutionary . Look up heizer defense pko45 . Its way cheaper than the alien too . Heizer defense makes parts for Nasa and the military industrial complex , so they are a top notch manufacturer.
Lowest bore axis will be putting the barrel in front of the middle finger! You wouldn’t necessarily need to pull the trigger with the middle finger. Controls can be as a normal gun but just put the barrel and other parts lower perhaps? Would probably make it a larger gun though.

Very interesting Design. One concern though. If you Pause at around the 4:00 Mark and go Frame by Frame: It looks like the Slide is 1/8" above your Hand. One slight misplacement might sting you a bit.

The cylinder barrel assembly is one piece and mounted directly into the upper trigger ceiling. Heat is going to bloom in this gun. Probably after about 50 rounds.
Have an idea we'll need to squirrel away for a few winter seasons at least for this one. Gonna cost quite a few nuts I'd imagine. So, just checked their site, $5,000 for the Signature edition, yikes!
The initial run of 500 are $5K and will come with a signed pistol, Gucci case with some rails and mags and some other neat stuff. But the later production standard pistols will be significantly less... But in this case "significantly less" than $5K might still be a ton of ductas.
The signature collection with all the stuff is 5k for those first 500. Still no official word on price after that, but saw video that they would still be pushing 2k or 3k. So hard to say. Who knows if they will even last. Selling boutique handguns at this price is a gamble most don’t make it.
@@areyou0k98 Well feelings are subjective. The mechanism is totally different so I highly doubt they would have the same movement in the hand, objectively. The STI has 13 degrees muzzle rise, the Alien has 5 degrees muzzle rise.

Any company can fail, but Hudson was a new business with a lot of debt that had to contract out most of their manufacturing, and they made a serious error in marketing the H9A too early. Laugo, by contrast, is a well established company that makes their own guns, and they seem to have a well organized marketing plan.
@@BROperatorTIME if you placed an order and your money cleared the bank you should be fine. They wouldn't take your money if the allotment is closed. It's all tracked on their software. I was sorting out issues with their computer system for three days and they still had 150 units remaining.
It would get jammed quick. This design will never be duty ready. Because the front and back of the slide are guillotines. As soon as a rock or stick gets stuck inside it won't completely go into battery. But a great gun for home defense, urban carry, competition.
this design needs to be funded and investigated further. I could imagine a smaller more concealable package with a rail atop and a longer beaver tail to protect against such a low slide. I'm concerned about reliability tho in the elements or thru numerous rounds
There aren't any other guns period that are just as effective in reducing muzzle flip until you're getting into tuned open class guns which run well over 5k from Limcat, Infinity, Akai, Atlas etc.
